[Verse 1] That summer I did nothing Just sleeping, thinking and hanging around Left the dark streets of September As the air was cooling down Woah yeah it was cooling down [Chorus] I need the sunshine in the morning I'm heading for the open road Sunshine in the morning Lord you gotta let it flow [Verse 2] Ever since I lost her Seems the more I learn, the less I know Everyday I think about her But if I look back I'll turn to stone To stone, woah yeah gonna turn to stone [Chorus] I need the sunshine in the morning I'm heading for the open road Sunshine in the morning Lord you gotta let it flow I need the sunshine in the morning Yeah I gotta feel its glow Sunshine in the morning Lord you gotta let it flow [Bridge] I'm heading for the open road (x8) Yeah It hit me without warning I was left out on my own The sad times they were forming I went through them alone A new day it is dawning I feel the pain is gone The open world is calling And I am moving on [Chorus] I need the sunshine in the morning I'm heading for the open road Sunshine in the morning Lord you gotta let it flow I need the sunshine in the morning Yeah I gotta feel its glow Sunshine in the morning Lord you gotta let it flow
So I came here because of Shaun of the Dead and if you guys didn't realize this, this song is describing Shaun at that exact moment. "That summer I did nothing." That's the very beginning of the movie with Shaun sitting in the Winchester doing nothing but drinking and smoking with his friends. The chorus is his thoughts expressing what he wants. In the second verse we see Shaun lose Liz now he has to try to find a way to keep moving on. Then in the bridge hits and its the next day with the zombies hitting him "without warning" and then realizes that "the open world is calling" when he has to leave the house to 'Go round mum's, Get Liz back, SORT LIFE OUT!!!" Sorry, I'm a little high and felt like sharing that in case no one ever caught on to that bit.
I'm a metalhead. My ipod's full of Sonata Arctica, Darkthrone, Immortal, Amon Amarth, etc. But Ash are really, really good. Meltdown and Free All Angels are some of the only records I can listen to over and over again, something achieved previously only by SA. These guys have fucking talent, the solos are kickass, and the songwriting is spectacular. And the singing is brilliant.
I remember when I played nfs Underground 2 and found the demo to Burnout 3, this was the first song I heard on the map downtown southbound, I knew at that moment I had to get the game
I turned on my TV and they were in the middle of playing this live on Glastonbury Festival 2005, on Palladia. Never heard the song but instantly LOVED it! I need to listen to more new music.
Tenho saudades de jogar esse demo no nfsu 2 e ouvir a intro do jogo e tudo eu e o meu irmão a cantar a intro e quando nós baiamos nós riamos atoa bons tempos🤣🤣😔😔
Moral of the story: Don't listen to this song while driving expecting that you're gonna do a real life hit and run. Bad idea. X'D Because gladly, there's a game for that! (Where're my Burnout 3 fans at?! :D)
"Were here at the Saint Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. Welcome to what should be a very entertaining night of hockey. I'm Jim Hughson with Craig Simpson up next a wild one between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Calgary Flames."
Somebody at EA had great music taste back in the day :D

BURNOUT 3 TAKEDOWN MEMORIES!!
[Verse 1]
That summer I did nothing
Just sleeping, thinking and hanging around
Left the dark streets of September
As the air was cooling down
Woah yeah it was cooling down
[Chorus]
I need the sunshine in the morning
I'm heading for the open road
Sunshine in the morning
Lord you gotta let it flow
[Verse 2]
Ever since I lost her
Seems the more I learn, the less I know
Everyday I think about her
But if I look back I'll turn to stone
To stone, woah yeah gonna turn to stone
[Chorus]
I need the sunshine in the morning
I'm heading for the open road
Sunshine in the morning
Lord you gotta let it flow
I need the sunshine in the morning
Yeah I gotta feel its glow
Sunshine in the morning
Lord you gotta let it flow
[Bridge]
I'm heading for the open road (x8)
Yeah
It hit me without warning
I was left out on my own
The sad times they were forming
I went through them alone
A new day it is dawning
I feel the pain is gone
The open world is calling
And I am moving on
[Chorus]
I need the sunshine in the morning
I'm heading for the open road
Sunshine in the morning
Lord you gotta let it flow
I need the sunshine in the morning
Yeah I gotta feel its glow
Sunshine in the morning
Lord you gotta let it flow
Thanks for the lyrics :P

Burnout Takedown 3 introduced me with this song here.

My first NHL game. Still playing NHL series nearly every day.
I'm a metalhead. My ipod's full of Sonata Arctica, Darkthrone, Immortal, Amon Amarth, etc. But Ash are really, really good. I love that Stryker still is on the radio in real life, on Alt FM here in DFW TX
Easily one of the greatest chorus's ever commited to tape. Infact, easily one of the most under rated song writing talents of the last 30 years.
Best rock song ever
