Yes! So often color grading tutorials work with images that start out really good. But the real strength of the Colorist comes in to play when the image is problematic. Thanks for this great insight into how to use the warper to finesse complementary colors.

This is so cool! What a great and simple technique to give it a look. So quick too. I never really understood how to use the color warper and now thanks to this video I do. Thank you for putting this together!

Good to see you are making videos again! Your channel seems to be the only one which actually explains Resolve. All others are "Look at this function. I will now use it under the most ideal conditions imaginable with functions I don't understand fully!"
While yours are "Look at this footage. It's completely off the mark. Let me show you how to fix it blindfolded!"
Any plans on expanding your tutorials to VFX and so on?

Interesting method. Thank you! It is reminding the old style of hand-painted color photos. Black and white plus a few plain colors. Unfortunately, it is unsuitable in most cases of video shots.

I'm growing very fond of this channel and will follow it more consistently.
As per this video, quick fixes are the holy grail of colour grading, I believe, just because it is an extremely time consuming process (the longer phase of the post-production, for me at least).
This technique forces you towards a very specific look and feel tho.
Do you think it also works across other color axes, rather than red/cyan? Locking up skin tones as you did with yellows/greens, of course.

Great, this is something I have to try on underwater footages I have that are ruined by a the use of a red filter at the wrong depth and with the sun in the face!! This is a real pain in the back to manage!!

This was excellent? I learnt a lot and it's a very good technique.
Two questions - first, for the footage you were editing at 9.40, you never showed the final steps required to fix the colours, particularly on the building, that would have been very helpful.
Second - does thosy technique mostly apply to rec.709 footage, or will it work well after applying LITs? Specifically in my case, Phantom LUTs.

Interesting and video! But I think using the color warper that heavy may cause strong atrifacts and unnatural results, even with 10/12bit log footage. I know you wanted an artistic and fast edit, maybe the RGB channel mixer is a better look creator, and using curves and the color warper for minor tweaks in the end :)
