Truth. You can't be a villain and play the keytar. I'm pretty sure you'd actually burst into flames if you were to pick one up while having darkness in the heart. Kind of like a cross, but not make-believe.
What Anthony fails to understand is that Colleen is a creative, and sometimes creatives feel the need to musically demolish their careers and social lives.
What's kind of sickening is that, if you ignore the context of everything she's saying... it's actually a pretty good song. It's pretty well constructed; the rhyme scheme and meter flows pretty well, and the chorus is, even I have to admit... kind of an earworm. Not to mention - she hits. Every. Single. One. Of the most popular and effective manipulation tactics these people use. Pretending to turn off the camera, preemptively saying that people will call her manipulative to stave off criticism for it, calling her actions "weird" instead of anything actually self-critical, thanking her supporters for "being there for her" to create an facade of vulnerability... and the, let's be honest, not half-bad acting. It's honestly kind of scary how effective this would probably be if you were already on her side.
And then acting like she was just young and dumb, like no you were 32. She was literally in group chats with children up until last week. The amount of hypocrisy, denial, deflecting, and downplaying in one video is mind blowing. She’s insane.
I wish so fucking badly that her LEGAL TEAM would upload their reaction to this.... That's the only reaction I REALLY wanna see. Imagine how fucking baffling it would be to be consulted one minute.... then immediately after realizing THIS is what you're tasked with "defending" Maybe Legal Eagle can do a "if someone came to me and responded like this" hypothetical response.....

Thank you. She acts as if she just misspoke on a video or something and it’s like no…you literally groomed children. Even so, why so performative? You already don’t care what your legal team has to say, so you might as well just make a regular apology. Her whole “apology” reeks of “IM A VICTIM,” when in reality she’s a creepy woman who has groomed kids. I don’t know what she thought she was doing but this apology is neither cute, nor an actual apology.
I love how she plays both sides. "I didn't do anything wrong, it's all rumors guys" followed by "it's ok we all make mistakes we're all human". No admittance for wrongdoing followed by her forgiving herself for wrongdoing that apparently never happened. Also, the comment she made about knowing what the comments are going to be like, they'll say she's gaslighting and lying. THAT'S CAUSE YOU ARE rofl... smh
She's trying to say she didn't do anything pedophilic and that WE'RE causing gossip by looking too much into it. And trying to guilt-trip and further gaslight on top of that. "over a fart joke"... Lady, you know that was not it.
Actually unhinged behavior. I have no idea how you get to a place where victims are actually coming out against you and you reach for the ukelele. A true specimen of mental illness what a ride
It's also funny because, like Anthony, I had only a vague sense of who this person was and had never heard the allegations against her. After watching the video I'm a) Insulted the way she talks about the audience as antagonistic, b) slack jawed that the only time she acknowledged she was in hot water for child grooming was saying, "not a groomer, just a loser" c) and baffled that she chose to make a sing song child's song defending herself from allegations she GROOMED CHILDREN. True or not I now hate this woman and think she deserves whatever's coming lol. Nice job Colleen!
She's almost 40...so when she says things like "I haven't done it in years" we're still talking about someone in their 30s doing the things she allegedly has done. It isn't a 20 something year old who messed up in their late teens.
@@baintreachas if one was to pronounce ukelele by the broadly accepted yet incorrect pronunciation (i.e. yoo), 'a ukelele' would make more sense. since the original comment used 'an', this implies the correct pronunciation (oo-) which you described. i hope this explains it!

I'm sorry!!! It's that easy. It's insane that she had 3 weeks to write a real apology to her victims. But instead she wrote this long accusatory song. Instead of taking responsibility for being a creep and rotten person. Crazy isn't it?
Not only that, there is proof out there that her website didn't say pg-13 until 2018. And on top of that, worth pointing out that most of her victims were over 13 anyway
To be fair to her (fair?), she didn't release this as an apology. If it were an apology, she'd need to apologize for something. Even the Paul brother insincerely apologized for the video about that forest in Japan. This is a "Kevin Spacey's 'Let Me Be Frank'"-tier deflection/self-defense.

She needs to grow up and understand that she hurt people wether she intended to or not and acknowledge that other people have feelings.
I have no idea how she managed to write this song, perform it probably with multiple takes, film it, and upload it without her or her legal team realizing that it was a terrible idea. The level of delusion is disgusting.
"Even though my team has strongly advised me to not say what I want to say, I recently realized they never said that I couldn't sing what I want to say." She at the start of the video
She does it in a song because if she straight up said the exact same words, they'd be simply offensive and not at all remorseful, so yes, this is a form of manipulation
Seriously, all I knew about her before this is that she made what I'll call "internet music" that my sister watched like eight or nine years ago. I don't know what else to call it, it was music that seemed to result from internet culture. But yeah that's all I knew. Then yeeeaaaars later, when I haven't thought about her in a while, I see a nostalgic name pop up next to the worst accusations, and those accusations are true. Before that, hearing anything from her just gave me nostalgia of sharing my room with my sister. She fucked herself so hard with this shit. Biggest "pride leads to fall" lesson I've ever seen play out on the internet so far. Edit, second biggest. Forgot about Andrew Tate.
She predicted that people were going to call her a gaslighting narcissist but predicting that people are going to state the obvious doesn't make it any less true, lol. "I foresaw you were going to call me 'X' which means that I'm clearly not 'X'! Checkmate, haters." That's not how it works. :'D
this apology is is so sinister, like the simmering rage pouring out of her, the way you can feel that she’s boiling and wants to scream “bUt i AlREADY SAID SORRY!!!!” like it’s so infantile and pathetic hahaha. like i cannot believe this is real. imagine being so narcissistic.
The "fart" joke was when she made a kid spread her legs towards the audience on a show, a girl who was wearing a dress, and then made a farting sound and acted disgusted. She humiliated the kid who was clearly uncomfortable, and that kid said later that there were men looking at her weirdly the entire time after. That wasn't her only time doing something like that to a kid because she also told a little boy to put his hand down her pants. On stage. In front of an audience too.
She created an atmosphere within her child audience that encouraged them to "dress provocatively" at her live shows so they had a chance of being called onto stage. She's always been a disgusting groomer, all it took was her writing a song about it to fully convince everyone. The always sunny episode where frank wants to write a song about how they DO NOT diddle kids is now reality.
The fan’s name is Becky and she’s come out and talked about how humiliating it was for her. Ok let’s play devil’s advocate and say that Colleen actually meant it just as a fart joke. It still hurt Becky and Colleen should’ve apologized. The fact she’s like “ugh it was just a fart joke!!!” just shows how out of touch she is. Perception over intention.
“My team strongly advised me not to speak about this but… they never said I couldn’t sing my closing arguments… YOUR HONOR GET ON THE TOXIC LYIN TRAAAIIIN”
I don’t really get this. The whole phrasing of “acting on an intrusive thought” heavily evokes OCD. Unsure if you’re implying she has OCD and was following an obsessive thought irrationally telling her the only way to fix this is with a song. If that’s not what you mean “intrusive thought” and “acting on” probably aren’t the right words
Yup, most recent worst apology that I remember is by CreepshowArt, you know-the youtuber who stalked her bf's ex girlfriend for 10 yrs, stole her career and posted homophobic comments in secret while pretending to be supportive. She came back year later bashing all the friends, playing victim and blaming everyone else for her behavior. The pattern is similar in this one- the over the top angry non-apology, and dismissing all the evidence
Me either. This is the perfect amount of condescension and frivolity over the right type of serious allegations to make it a very difficult failure to beat. It's about as awful as I can imagine happening; it might be possible that Putin might break out an accordion and passively-aggressively apologize for the invasion of Ukraine but I'm just not seeing it. She really Streisanded herself, and I had no idea who she was until this. Vaguely heard of Haters Back Off and was confused why the character was making that face.
I can't tell if Colleen is trying to gaslight people or if she thinks getting a kid onstage, spreading her legs in a dress and leering down at her is so totally a-okay that the only thing she can imagine people disliking is the fart joke part of that.
only human after all moments in question: filming naked little boy on beach and making a blowjob joke and having a sketch where an audience member dates miranda sings but the audience member brought on stage was a little boy who on this 'date' had to stick his hand down her pants because she shoved a packet of chips down there for them to eat (because miranda is so quirky of course uwu).
I had zero idea who she was until a few days ago. The more i looked into her and learned about her behavior over the course of her career the more i went from "oh, people are taking her out of context and exaggerating things she did and said" to "holy shit, this bish is actually a female Onision.
When she kept talking about "all these allegations and rumors" that was my thought exactly, these aren't allegations or hearsay they're documented instances across dozens of screenshots and videos
I don't understand. She is accused of grooming minors. She has a team, possibly a legal team. And instead of acting according to the gravity of the situation with them to mitigate the damages, she went basically "yolo, I don't need to listen to my colleagues that I gathered for situations like this huehuehue". I don't know, but she seems to me exactly the kind of person that would be randomly sexting children with no second thought what so ever
she said everyone in her team recommended that she STFU but she was going to do a song. Truly deranged. There's a ton of comedy about Colleen's PR team when they realize she posted the song.
Every time she insists that she's "taken accountability" it reminds me of the scene in Breaking Bad where Gretchen confronts Walt over him involving her in his lie to his family without her consent or even her knowledge, and he says "I'm sorry" once, without actually acknowledging or owning up to anything, and when she understandably demands an explanation from him, he gets indignant and insists that he already apologized and doesn't owe her anything more than that, and keeps patting himself on the back for his "apology".
"my team strongly advised me to not say anything... BUT because I'm clever and clearly smarter than everyone.... I'm gonna sing it instead!" GET on her intellectual level

Sienna Mae's interpretive dance "I didn't do anything wrong" apology vs Colleen Ballinger's "you guys are toxic not me, you guys are the liars not me. You should feel bad for me" ukelele apology. The next apology needs to be some play or skit.
Didn't Gus Johnson release a skit right after his ex talked about him not supporting him through a painful and dangerous medical ordeal about how annoying people who exagerare being sick are? I think that kinda counts!
Update/Warning: Colleen just got a copyright for the song and she's making the rounds giving out copyright strikes for videos featuring clips of the song.
Someone on twitter theorized that she made the apology video *this* way because if someone reacts to the video, then she can copyright claim the video since her *original music* is on it. It's 99% false, but it would be funny if it is the 1% possibility. Edit: Just as I thought. The song is on Apple Music and she is issuing copyright claims on anyone reacting to the "song"
Or maybe she did it to distract people from the seriousness of the accusations. Now instead, everyone's focusing on how ridiculous her apology song is.

She couldn't even write enough lyrics to get her to the 10 minute monetization mark lol. She made us listen to that damn chorus a million times.

I was watching her some time ago and recently I was so shocked by the whole situation and her response, true. Those couple of years really showed some nasty side of humanity in the YT community :/
A pure example of someone who peaked in the 2010s with that goddamn ukulele singing
maybe if she did this over an MF DOOM instrumental then i would've accepted the apology
I'll put it over One Beer and have it to you within 24 hours
@@TheNinja94acan't wait
@@TheNinja94a first comment in 6+ years i’d guess? just hoping you do this
@@TheNinja94a 🎉🎉🎉🎉🙏
She played herself like an accordion
she redefined the standards of RUclips apologies lmao
Omg...it was NOT an apology! It was a FK U song.
Idk Sienna Maes was pretty bad lol
A whole new low
@@laneybobs8157 That's even WORSE, her career is going the way of Logan Paul, Irrelevancy.
@@Meocross Her fan base is strong. She'll survive.
Definitely gaslighting. Which is ironic because she accuses the audience of it
HE ACTUALLY DID IT 😭
She doesn’t want people to “monetize her demise” but she didn’t have problem when she “capitalized taking advantage of little guys she traumatized”.
Hey! That’s a bar!
Lmaooo
This deserves more likes
She really bookended it with "I'm only human after all" 🤮
It’s a canon event
Queue Daft Punk beats
Nobody's Perfect by hannah montana followed by only human hahah
only human after all moments in question: filming naked little boy on beach and making a blowjob joke and having a sketch where an audience member dates miranda sings but the audience member brought on stage was a little boy who on this 'date' had to stick his hand down her pants because she shoved a packet of chips down there for them to eat (because miranda is so quirky of course uwu).
don't put the blame on me
I had zero idea who she was until a few days ago. The more i looked into her and learned about her behavior over the course of her career the more i went from "oh, people are taking her out of context and exaggerating things she did and said" to "holy shit, this bish is actually a female Onision.
13:10 glad I wasn't the only one having this animalistic emotional reaction at "not a groomer, just a loser"
it's giving James "I'm desperate" Charles
There’s too many screenshots for her to be responding this way tbh lmao
She was caught in 16k.
Lol right she has the confidence of a person who hasn't seen the receipts yet...
Probably because her "team" is made up of 13 year olds who are obsessed with her lmao
She would have been fired by her PR team the moment she posted this.
She’s obviously mentally unstable, as evidenced by the behavior that got her in this place
she said everyone in her team recommended that she STFU but she was going to do a song.
I'm gonna sing it instead!"
GET on her intellectual level
@@charcoalwilson well if she gets sued for something, she's definitely the one to represent herself lol
@@charcoalwilson Exactly what this made me think of as well. My dad is a lawyer and man I've heard so many horror stories in this regard. And I've also read a lot about antisocial types and yeah - they can't stand any sort of hindrance to their ego. Notice here that she's also subtly shifting blame to her PR team for saying she can't speak 😤 those meanies!
Psycho stuff.
@@charcoalwilson She's a youtuber. They make videos. That's literally how she makes her living. That's not the same as representing yourself in court.
@@charcoalwilsonit's not a psychopath thing; it's just an idiot thing.
Fine, let me get my lobotomy pick.
Sienna Mae's interpretive dance "I didn't do anything wrong" apology vs Colleen Ballinger's "you guys are toxic not me, you guys are the liars not me. You should feel bad for me" ukelele apology. The next apology needs to be some play or skit.
Sienna Mae should come out with a dance video set to this apology song
Next apology is just gonna be a full apology album
Personally, I think abstract painting is the way to go next
The next “apology” will include bragging about it
Didn't Gus Johnson release a skit right after his ex talked about him not supporting him through a painful and dangerous medical ordeal about how annoying people who exagerare being sick are? I think that kinda counts!
Separating the art from the artist when the art itself is an apology is a insane concept
Yes that was the joke he was making.
Update/Warning: Colleen just got a copyright for the song and she's making the rounds giving out copyright strikes for videos featuring clips of the song.
You get copyright as soon as you write the song.
This falls under fair use. She can't sue for shit.
Her drama was contained to her corner of the internet until she made this "apology." Now the whole internet is aware!
Lmao right 😂
Someone on twitter theorized that she made the apology video *this* way because if someone reacts to the video, then she can copyright claim the video since her *original music* is on it. It's 99% false, but it would be funny if it is the 1% possibility.
Edit: Just as I thought. The song is on Apple Music and she is issuing copyright claims on anyone reacting to the "song"
I immediately thought so
Nahhh that makes no sense.
She's just that delusional thinking it would be a good idea.
you can copyright claim videos that used your materials even if its not a song
Or maybe she did it to distract people from the seriousness of the accusations. Now instead, everyone's focusing on how ridiculous her apology song is.
@@HR63927I mean, people are literally looking into those claims and seeing the horrible shit she’s done, like in this very video. So like
Not really??
Is Jenna Marbles apology about the fish tank the only genuinely sincere and earnest youtuber apology video in history?
Agree
Yes.
Idubbz actually made a decent effort recently
Ethan Klein apology
I'd say Idubbbz is up there
I never expected someone who makes musical content for a living to make an apology video as tone-deaf as this.
