Once it goes over $100, that should perk up the attendant’s eyes & ears. If there isn’t a bus, RV, or someone filling up ATV’s, they should be suspicious when the pumps go over a certain amount. Hundreds? Over a thousand? Someone needs to get fired.

I always thought pumps shut off automatically at a certain amount.
They did, that's how he got caught. It's not illegal for someone to fill up a big tank of gas.. but they did report it as suspicious.
@@rondodson5736 It's the card that does that. In this case there was a transport company from Michigan getting ripped off; those cards are set to fill much larger tanks, typically 50-100 gallons.
What doesn't make sense to me is how does the common user specific card pin not protect the company here? There may be interstate shite going on as well
Can't really go by just money, fuel is expensive. My truck will easily eat a $100. bill up if it's at quarter of a tank or below. Not to mention I know multiple people that have auxiliary fuel tanks in the back of their trucks for fueling equipment or towing 5th wheel campers. If a $100. was the mark for gas station employees to be suspicious, they wouldn't get anything done as your average diesel pickup will take more than that to fill.

Sounds like something was a setup. How could they NOT notice this, and who was he selling it too? Was he selling it door to door? "Hey, wanna buy some diesel?" Always the same company he was hitting??? Is Cuba short on diesel?
How many times do detectives have to watch him breaking the law before they arrested him ? I find this hard to believe especially when he had done this before. Did they investigate who he was selling it to ? They should be arrested for receiving stolen goods.
