I would not accept it for security reasons
@sunsetblessing4106 yes that’s the right thing to do
I’m Central American and our family customs are similar, we can’t say no to an elder so now I tell them “it’s illegal for me to take anything packaged and it has to be in a clear bag or else I can’t take it” which made my family not ask me at all or they send really small items now.
I remember my mom, dad and aunts back in the day brining lots of items for people to bring back as gifts etc. now my advice to them is to not bring anything back they haven’t packed and open themselves. Personally when I travel overseas I pack all my own stuff and throughly inspect my luggage for any tempering an hour before I leave and hold my own luggage from the room and put in in the trunk. I help with the removal as well and keep it close to me at all times at the airport.

This should be a teachable moment for the officers in the Trinidad passenger scenario. They need to sit in a room and watch their behavior and then be retrained. This is not a cartoon. It is a humiliating and degrading experience and they should be more professional. All that side bar is uncalled for 🤷🏽♀️
yes in reference to the trini lady.. that fat custom guy was definitely rude .
When they were initially walking away from the camera with her, they started speaking Spanish to one another.. Immediately irritated me.
It's a little weird that she was going to stay here for only one day. If I flew to Trinidad it wouldn't be for only one day. Trinidad has border security too, you know. Everybody does.
Also, it's weird that they couldn't verify anything she said to them, and she was using a debit card that didn't have her name on it. It's not common to check someone's ID to make sure it matches the debit card, but if anyone did, they would question what's going on, right?
There's several factors that lead them to question her more:
-coming here for only one day
-contact doesn't answer phone
-doesn't have hotel set up already
-has debit card with someone else's name
-coming from Trinidad, which Homeland Security had identified as a common source of addictive narcotics
Their job is to help protect the national security of the USA. OF COURSE they are going to look into something like that. Turned out to be nothing, but it was a little weird. If you were a border security officer, you would have questioned her, too.

This first case is jaw-dropping!
I don’t even bring back souvenirs let alone someone else’s suitcase.
I laughed so hard at 19:44 where the officer asked and he just went „it‘s a one floor house like bruh😂
The customs officer needs to be fired, she profiled that woman for no reason and that was so much for her.I’m from the Caribbean and I’d never want to go through that.
Cry about it.
LMAO!
She “profiled” her because THERES TONS OF DRUGS COMING IN FROM THE CARRIBEAN.
Me either. She is just rude!

My husband and I traveled back in the day we would go through customs and it was just the norm for us, we would just be chilled and except the situation as is, honestly it would make the officers so angry because we would not be upset ?? They felt like we had something to hide and was trying to pass through undetected. We truly just excepted the process and never let it bother us no reason to elevate blood pressure.
National Geographic out here giving smugglers free lessons and tutorials on how to minimize their chances of getting caught
I feel like they get a little irritated when then find nothing, like they hate them a bit for being innocent and for stopping them makin' a "catch" .
It’s not that serious they don’t hate them for being innocent but obviously it is irritating pursuing an innocent person. It takes time away from getting someone who actually does have drugs or whatever
@@Ana-hy5nh It's irritating purusing an innocent person? What about the innocent person feelings ?:)
Pupo & Rimola are horrible examples of officers... they just want people to be blindfully guilty... -__-
Not really..they're just being extremely cautious
Yeah their Minds were set from the Jump
@@JadaenX to what though? you honestly think they are even scratching the surface of whats out there?..
@@TANTHEMANFILMS I don't think you get the point. If you find a story confusing, surely you'll have doubts. Plus they know how desperate some people are. It's just officers instinct, plus you saw when Pupo said "what if she doesn't get what she's looking for? What was the purpose of the trip?" So basically,as much as they believed her, they didn't.

That lady was so scared of all these
liked the attitude of the port officer, with the lady from Vietnam. Doing his job very professional, without needing to be rude.
The 2 police officers really need to stop being so petty and unprofessional…. I love how the Trinidad lady proved tht female officer wrong, all tht because you picked on her I would of told tht female officer where to go she’s rude and petty. Must be miserable
They were beyond petty and too judgmental for my liking. Those comments that they stated regarding her being low income, supporting herself in the U.S. and they kept questioning her finances. I need them to take several seats as not everyone from the Caribbean is poor and struggling for money. Average people in the Caribbean have better savings account that some folks here in the U.S. I know lots of people who come to Miami for a day or two, shop in the shopping district in Miami, near the airport, make quick turnaround back to the Islands. I've seen a lot however I've never seen Customs waiting to search a passenger designated for an outbound flight leaving the U.S.
Smugglers are a tricky bunch sometimes they pose as innocent people. That's why the get stopped. Can you tell the difference between a smuggler and a innocent person just by looking at them?
@@marathongman9281 Speaking to each other in spanish and the lady could not understand them, making comments about her, coming back for the lady as she is leaving the country after she had cleared security...They were very unprofessional and racially biased.
@@sk_princess575 Exactly, i have a friend from Bahamas whose family would come to the US on a Friday and leave on Sunday and she told me a lot of people from the islands come to shop or just for the week end. The flights are not even that long and it's the same time zone, not sure why people are surprised. It looks like the agents are the one who are poor LOL
@@marathongman9281 apparently these customs agents cant tell the difference between innocent people and criminals either
