    Thank you,I'VE just purchased the beetle Rally on this chassis.
    This has given me a insight into the build and hop-up options.

    Matteo, another fantastic presentation! I'd love to get one of those, if I could.... It looks like a perfect little park/trail runner. Also, I MAY still have a old style, BMW 2002 body, which seems PERFECT for this chassis!

    My Friend Matteo... I had to watch these Videos again! I am building a MF-01X finally, and expect great Tips from these. 👌😉
    I bought only a Chassis Kit, and bought from England, a Morris Minor Body in 210mm Wheelbase. I've got an Axial Wraith and SCX-10 II for heavy Off-Road... This will be a fun, light Rally, Dirt path Car. I wish I find a Jimny, but they are nowhere to be found. 😖😭😭
    Now I will watch your other Videos on this Car. Have a great Week!

    This is the first time I've seen anything about this model. It looks like the perfect solution for an M-Chassis sized rally car.
    I have an old, modified TB01 chassis with a Mini body, but even with the M03 steering arms and driveshafts, it's too wide for M-Chassis bodies. I also have an Suzuki Swift M03M in its box that I've nevet got around to building.
    The 205 - 225 - 239 mm WB is very interesting, It means a lot of the old HPI Mini and True Ten bodies (like the VW Polo) will also fit!

    Hey Matteo, Great Video.
    I´ve got the MF01X a few weeks ago and tuned it for more offroad use.
    Its very similar to the TL01 so i used the TL01 Suspension and 1,55 Wheeels.
    I also locked the Diffs. Its great fun as a little Crawler/Scaler.
    You can see the build on my Channel.
    Keep up the great work, greetings from Austria ^^

    Thanks for this Matteo. Useful to see the size comparison with the other chassis. It looks like this might be a good chassis for a rally car ? How is it with grit and stones getting into the steering and other moving parts ?

      +Matteo's RC Movies Yea after that bash I had to put two holes in the tires outer tread opposite each other because the tires got filled up a 1/4 of the way with sand and dirt.with the holes in the tread area it should fling out the sand from getting trapped inside the tires.I also am adding some 5mm washers behind the wheel pins on the axles to take out the axle play and it will also widen the width a few mm also for even better cornering!

    gibt es mittlerweile denn schon Öl-Dämpfer für das MF-01X ?

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  8 лет назад

      +screeny30 Danke für dein Lob! Ja, Öldämpfer gibt es. Im Bausatz werden die Alu Dämpfer für das M-Chassis empfohlen, die sind aber recht teuer. Ich habe in meinem die CVA Dämpfer super mini, die auch aufs M-Chassis passen eingebaut.

    • @screeny30
      @screeny30 8 лет назад

      habe auch gelesen, dass die vom TT-01 passen sollen - aber schade, dass Tamiya direkt nichts anbietet

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  8 лет назад

      Die kommen ja schon direkt von Tamiya, und die einzelnen Chassis sind sowieso in vielen Teilen Baugleich und so passen z.B. diese Dämpfer auch problemlos an verschiedene Autos.

    so considering about the off-road capability, cc-01 is better, considering about the speed on the flat road, mf01x is faster?

    • @kimiandmatt

      +Matteo's RC Movies OK, but it does confuse me right now. Last year I got my first rc: Tamiya DT-03, 2wd buggy. It's fun and with high performance. Now I want to try something different and sth. 4wd. MF01X seems cool, but the tamiya M chassis just looks like so normal, no special CC01 is sth different, like what I mean. however, I prefer some chassis with faster speed and better off-road capability. Which one will you recommend me to choose in my situation? I really have no answer right now! THANK YOU.

      thank you for your recommend. It looks like a very powerfull and high performance chassis. But I don't like the shot turck type now, they just like my 2wd buggy too much. I prefer some body more like the real car, looks more realistic. Thanks anyway!

    I just built this kit (vw rally) and the front dif feels very rough rear diff is smooth. Taken it apart couldnt find any build errors. Has anyone had this issue of a rough vibration in front diff when one wheel spins and the other is still? I dont know how this will drive. Been building RC kits over 20 years and im stumped. Anyone? Please?

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  6 лет назад +1

      I could not find a big vibration in mine. Is it possible the vibration comes from the dog bones? Does it make the same vibration when the suspension is a bit lifted up? I have many experiences from vibrations coming from the dog bones.

    • @GreatBirdOfHope
      @GreatBirdOfHope 6 лет назад +1

      I think you are right. Thats gotta be it dog bone angle. I will say though, i ended up removing the entire front drive system. Gears dogbones and the shaft drive. Was substantial weight savings and although it gets stuck a little easier, now it is more authentic to a rally bug RWD, as well as doubling the run time. Its weight characteristic are more authentic now with less weight in front and motor in rear. Also i think you make the best Tamiya RC videos. Thanks for your channel. Subscribed.

    Can you give me please the info about the pieces i need just for rear transmission of this model? I need just the rear transmission pieces with internal gear in order to build a Vw Kombi offroad (2wd) with handmade rear aluminium suspensions with longitudinal arms and handmade torsion bar, and front sand scorcher suspensions.I will use the Maisto VW kombi bodyshell.

      +Del350K4 hahah perhaps. Mainly I'm wondering if it's possible with one person, or if he has someone to help. Even on the sunny shoots I never see shadows of any people anywhere to give clues :)

      Someone asked him once, ages ago, and he said "I just walk beside the car with the camera on a stick". Immediately upon reading this I taped my camera to a beach umbrella stick and got some good tracking shots of my Carisma Bug offroad, but with my wife driving the car. Ever since I´ve been secretly practising driving with my right forefinger on the trigger and my thumb on the wheel, holding the stick (I´ve progressed to a cut-down broom handle) in my left hand. Despite my best efforts, however hard I try I can´t even get close to Matteo´s exquisite framing and smoothness. Some mysteries are just inherently unfathomable, I guess...

      ***** Hey guys, thats my problem. I can not film my self how I film when I am alone! So, I have to recruit someone to help me and this is not so easy. But I do not give up to try it sometime.
