So, the 1:1 version of this car is not all wheel drive. Anyone know if I can build this kit, omit the center driveshaft and run it as rear drive only for more authenticity?
I don't see why not... I've never done it, and I haven't seen anyone else do it, but after building several of these chassis', I don't see why this wouldn't work.
Ampro is designing a grill for these that’s more scale, and places the headlights where they are actually supposed to be.. I’m not really a foreign car guy but I kinda like this little car.
I've just worked out an easier way to cut the decals. I've never built a kit before, so maybe other people use this technique, but I've never seen it done on any videos I've watched. I put the decal sheet on one of those green cutting boards and used an exacto knife with a sharp blade. I poke the knife blade through, then hold the blade still and move the sticker sheet round the blade. It's a bit like using a sewing machine. The tool stays still while the workpiece moves around it. It honestly works a treat, especially around those intricate little details.
Interesting, I've never seen it done that way before. Glad you found a method that works well for you. I'll tell ya, I'm not a fan of cutting out all these black window trims. 🤯
@@poorboysrc Same here. I used a metal ruler to cut along the first line, but I still managed to cut it squint.
