I did Jenny's hairstyle today for work and my team workers were amazed by how gorgeous and intricate it looked. Thank you so much, they all think I'm a genius and this hair put some epicness in my day :)
I tried the second style and it came out so pretty!!!!!!! I feel like a princess❤️👸🏿 I have 4A texture hair so I modified it by doing a flat English braid into each section to keep the hair from looking puffy and it is so pretty. I subscribed and want to keep trying more styles. You are a fantastic teacher!!!
I grew up apostolic (so really long hair lol. Most women I know have never cut it in their life) these are the absolute best hair tutorials I have seen! And I can use them for run fair hair too!
I can’t believe you made this video! I’d been watching Outlander and wondered about Jenny’s hair and planned on trying it myself before I saw this tutorial:) How funny others thought it was pretty as well! Thank you for this
I love that you do these hairstyles yourself. I grew up with 2 brothers and my mom doesn’t know how to braid. Very few of my friends braided their hair, so I’m most adept at braiding my own hair. A friend braided my hair back in January, and she pulled it tightly - which I guess is the norm - but it kind of hurt! It still liked great 😎 in any case, it’s been helpful to learn more braiding techniques from the vantage of a one person stylist and wearer.
Omg you have no idea how much I have tried the rope braid but never could until right now with the way you explained it I have watched does step by step but nothing omg thank you
it's so relaxing watching you do this, I keep watching videos for styles I can't actually do lol. I wear my hair just below my shoulder and cut in two layers, because it's so thick it would be too much of a pain if it were longer. my braids are nowhere near long enough for this stuff. I don't struggle with volume, but as I have a square face I like to distribute the volume to the top of my head. It's summer right now, so I'm wearing straw hats a lot. I use pins to keep the hats on, so I need a hair structure to pin into on the crown of my head. The Valkyrie half-updo you taught has been my go-to style for a week now, because that French braid gives me volume up top that won't get crushed under the hat and the bun is perfect for the hat pin! My French braids are kind of bad right now, but doing it up again every other day means I'm getting better! do I dare get an instagram account?
I'm really enjoying these tutorials of yours - even if so far I've only managed to master rope braids. That's still more adventurous that I've been for while. Great work.
You are AMAZING!!!! My sister is talented with hair like you, but I'm all thumbs so this kind of thing just boggles my mind. All these designs are stunning!!! Thanks for sharing!
I thank the Lord for this videos! I’m in theater at my school and my play is set in this time and I needed to know how to style my hair. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Omg, this is amazing! I love Outlander and have been wondering about some of the hairstyles quite a bit, please do more of them, they're great, just like you. Thank you so much!!
I wish I could do these styles so they look full when they are done, but I have extremely thin hair and all of it together only makes a really skinny braid. :(. Thanks for the video, you did a wonderful job making it.
I love watching these videos. My hair is naturally curly and doesn’t like to grow fast. It is just past my shoulders and I am refraining from curling/straightening it at all so it will grow! Hopefully I can wear ones of these by next fall!
Thank you so much for sharing these three hairstyles! I wish I could wear them, but I have just too much hair for any updo. Anyway, it is always a pleasure seeing your clever fingers do their magic on your hair. Hope you will share soon more Hobbit/LOTR/fantasy hairstyles
Just discovered this video on the OutlanderCast blog...great tutorial! I wish my hair were long enough to do these styles...my daughters both have long hair, so I'll send it to them.
I really like and enjoy your videos, I've been following you for a while now and have learnt a lot! Thank you so much for all your videos, you are awesome
Great tute! The first two don't look as hard when you show us how....agree the last one would be best done by a friend who knows how to make cornrows :)
I've been subscribed to your channel for a while n seen a fair amount of videos but I'm not sure I caught that you're left-handed last time I watched this one. It's so nice to know I wouldn't have to mentally flip everything in the tutorial to make it easiest for me ;-;-;🙌🖤
thank you so much for making this video! i loved all of these hair styles (especially Jenny's hair, though after seeing her i could never imagine jenny any other way aside from tv jenny lol) and wondered how to accomplish the look. thank you again! you have very lovely hair :)
GIRLFRIEND!!!! you are the best!!!! thank you for your tutorials I have got so good at braiding and my hair is growing faster too. May I use your braiding for my blog? Ive got the Threads, Heads and Treads, going on for clothes, hair and shoes, a fashion 411 blog. I so love your tutorials because you are so easy to follow and you're not annoying!!! Love Ya girlie goo!!!!!
I think for girls struggling to do the Letitia hairstyle on themselves, you can fake it by doing the pin-curls first and leaving some hair out, braiding in a regular 3-strand braid, and then wrapping it around the pin-curls. It won't look exactly the same, but it will be close enough.
I love how the second one looks. I had to use a bunch of clips to make it stay in place so hopefully it holds up. I don't know if maybe my hair is a bit too long for this style 🤔
Thank you for not using extensions, thus creating a more simple, wearable version for everyday women. My hair texture and thickness is just like yours.
LOVE this video and Outlander. I'm part of a living history group and everyone basically puts on a simple hair covering. I've been trying to figure out time appropriate everyday hair styles. Outlander is the correct time and place for what I need but is it accurate? I'd love to see more 17th and 18th century accurate styles
+Leah x oh my gosh I tell everyone that if I were an actor, Brianna would be the single best role for me. I see myself as so much like her. I'm really short though, and their casting call says only 5'8" and above :/
She has tutorials on all the braiding techniques. Practice them on yarn before trying them on your head. That way you can get them into your muscle memory, and get an idea of how they should feel. If you want to practice a particular style before putting it on your own head, you can use a doll.
Jenny's undo has just become my holy grail go-to style!! It's so simple and elegant! Thank you so much!! :D
+Katrina C. Elssler glad to hear it! :)
I love how multi-wearable these are :) cute formal look, guest wedding look or if you just want to wear your hair up differently at work
Totally agreed!
love how detailed and specific she is while not going on forever.
I have no idea how your arms just don't give up.
She does aerial silks.
Incredible. Poor girls. Une bonne gifle réveille de temps à autre. 👎
Well you can see she has strong arms 💪
She does this often and it does indeed create some muscles!
I did Jenny's hairstyle today for work and my team workers were amazed by how gorgeous and intricate it looked. Thank you so much, they all think I'm a genius and this hair put some epicness in my day :)
It amazes me how great your hair turns out with these insane hairdos that you do on yourself! Must take lots of practice!

Fabulous up do's! I am in my 60's with a full head of very straight but shiny brown hair. I use your ideas and get loads of compliments.
I can’t believe you made this video! I’d been watching Outlander and wondered about Jenny’s hair and planned on trying it myself before I saw this tutorial:) How funny others thought it was pretty as well! Thank you for this
I LOVE the last one! I mean I love all of them, but the last one is just stunning!
Determined to learn the Letitia style for my great niece
Still the queen of youtube hair tutorials. :) These look lovely!

Ah a fellow Outlander lover. :) Jenny's updo is my favorite out of the three.
I came to RUclips specifically looking for Jenny Murray's style- thanks for making it so easy!
Omg, I devoured outlander in a day. How beautiful was season 1? I neeeeeed the rest,ASAP! I need the books, too! Wow, so good!
I'm left handed as well! We are a rare breed and it's nice to see left handed self branding tutorial. Thanks!
Love outlander series and love all 8 books, hoping the series continues for a long time

So happy the world finally sees Outlander. I've read the books several times, pure love!!
Wonderful tutorial!!! Thanks so much. I'm looking for new ways to do my daughter's buns for dance class. Love these!
I thank the Lord for this videos! I’m in theater at my school and my play is set in this time and I needed to know how to style my hair. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

You are so relatable and kind! The best hair tutorials I’ve ever found!

Me and my mum were trying to figure out how to recreate Jenny's hair all this week so Thankyou for making this tutorial
I've never seen that series but just the hairstyles make me want to watch it xD The last one is the most beautiful updo I've ever seen o.O !!
My mom loves watching outlander! I think I’ll try one of these on her hair soon, thanks!
I wish I could do these styles so they look full when they are done, but I have extremely thin hair and all of it together only makes a really skinny braid. :(. Thanks for the video, you did a wonderful job making it.
Massage the braid and tug on the sides to cheat volume! Some spray clay or sea salt spray will help that texture stay. :)
It is so nice to watch hair tutorials done by another lefty.
I love watching these videos. My hair is naturally curly and doesn’t like to grow fast. It is just past my shoulders and I am refraining from curling/straightening it at all so it will grow! Hopefully I can wear ones of these by next fall!
Great job !Your very talented ! And you can get pen curled with Bobby pens on some of the older styles .
Thank you SO MUCH for Jenny's updo!!! I love how easy it is!!! looks sooo complex when its done... THANKS ❤️

I tried the "Lallybroch Jenny's" hairstyle and it looks very nice!!
All 3 styles are beautiful. Now I finally what my mom meant when she said my curly hair is a beautiful gift.
I've been subscribed to your channel for a while n seen a fair amount of videos but I'm not sure I caught that you're left-handed last time I watched this one. It's so nice to know I wouldn't have to mentally flip everything in the tutorial to make it easiest for me ;-;-;🙌🖤

I Love that. unfortunately I don't have so many hair to do this 😭
I finally found you! Omg love these styles!
I think for girls struggling to do the Letitia hairstyle on themselves, you can fake it by doing the pin-curls first and leaving some hair out, braiding in a regular 3-strand braid, and then wrapping it around the pin-curls. It won't look exactly the same, but it will be close enough.
This is a great idea! I KNEW there had to be an easier way.
Someone else who's left-handed! That's so cool! Do you find it easier to Dutch braid instead of French or is that just me?
Im right handed and I find Dutch braiding easier too. At least on myself
LOVE THEM ALL!!!
I wanna try this ones
I love how the second one looks. I had to use a bunch of clips to make it stay in place so hopefully it holds up. I don't know if maybe my hair is a bit too long for this style 🤔
gorgeous! i love outlander
Beautifully done!
Maaaaaan do I wish I had hair longe enough for this 😍
Beautiful, love your hair color

Gorgeous as always... :) Have you ever seen Snow White and the hunter? In that film are some realy fascinating hairstyles...
These were super cute! Thanks :)
I adore outlander, especially Jenny's updo. You look ridiculously like Gellie with that hairdo. I was wondering what your natural hair color is?

outlander started in Germany =)
I like updos very much there so pretty and elegant.

I honestly think you'd make a perfect Brianna! Have you ever thought about sending an audition tape in for Brianna?
+Leah x oh my gosh I tell everyone that if I were an actor, Brianna would be the single best role for me. I see myself as so much like her. I'm really short though, and their casting call says only 5'8" and above :/
@@silvousplaits Hello, what's does 5'8 mean?

Well done!

Could you do Claires hair in Outlander?
