9 yrs in, mine still good, i just changed mine for the hell of it. As a truck driver, Ford trucks are the most popular trucks that like to breakdown on the side of the road😂
Thank you, Brian! Your experience and skills really show, you make it look like a breeze. I have a couple 20+ year old Chevys on their original water pumps, these newer ones seem to be less reliable.
Great job man. I have to do the same to my 2018. Is it normal for all the radiator coolant to leak out of the pump. I barely made it in my driveway and when I did I opened my hood and had fluid leaking everywhere. Is that normal when the pump goes out? I could not see at first where it was coming from but I’m guessing it was all blowing out of the broken pump. I could hear the grinding and see the wheel wobbling. Thanks man
Thank you for this video!! I was able to do mine by myself in an hour and I’m no mechanic!! Thank you thank you thank you!!
Glad to help. Thank you for watching!
WoW Brian you make it look so easy 💙 Thank you Amigo 👍

Thanks brother!
Excellent explanation and good technique. Thank u!
Thank you!
vacuum filling is also a great way to fill the coolant and a time saver for sure!
For sure but most DIY people that are gonna watch this video. I’m not gonna have one.

I would agree the new ones are not as reliable as the older trucks. I have a few customers running around with Chevy trucks for 500 K.
I just did mine man and it was not leaking before and now after changing everything tightening to spec and re install it keeps leaking 😢
Nice video, thanks. You mentioned that most of you coolant leaked out. Where did it leak from?
Mine has already 230000mi on and no problem, but as preventive maintenance I will replace it
Good video
Do you have to remove the radiator cap to drain the coolant as well?
@@cdnrdz it makes it drain faster if you do

Can I get the exact torque wrench you used for this job?
Here is an affiliate link for the one I’m currently using .amzn.to/3HWBLhF
What do you use to give a customer a quote? Is it an app or website? I’m considering mobile mechanic but I don’t know what to do about giving quotes
For labor we use AllData.
Chevy puts out garbage anymore. 5 years old, and the water pump goes bad. Junk. Guess its time for a Ford.
Yes , to start with all the big and high cost ford issues.
