    Absolutely the best instructional video on RUclips for automotive I have seen! After seeing this video on replacing the water pump, I decided to do it myself. Even the quality of the video (lighting, audio, and steps) were well done and I do video/film production for a living. I subscribed to your channel just because of this video.

    Wow. Just like all the other comments! This video was right on point very thorough i knew it was my waterpump going out. And looking under the hood was kinda overwhelming i was somewhat doubtful thatvi would ne able to pull it off. But with your help it really wasnt hard at all. You saved me a minimum of 600 bucks i cant tell you how thankful i am. And from now in i will HIGHLY recommend your videos to everyone. Again thank you so much your directions were very clear and easy to understand and follow. Great job buddy!!!

    Great job sir! I've done plenty of work on my older Jeeps but was a little unsure of working on my Chevy Avalanche I j purchased about a year ago but you've given the me the confidence to .This has to be One of the best and most thorough step by step automotive videos I've seen.     I will reitterate what others have said: thorough yet concise with just the right amount of details and demonstration with the important pointers and pitfalls to avoid. (I especially like that you included the different torque specs AS you explained the process of reassembly! Could I have looked them up, sure, but you were helpful and had them right there. Perfect!)

      @@backyardchevy328 got the old pump off!! Thank you so much again man, do you by chance have the part numbers of the pump and thermostat you used? My thermostat is a one piece. I was going to order online to save some cash but might just take it to the part store so I don’t have to return a wrong part.

      @@megancoaker5775 it was extremely easy, took me maybe 20 mins to get the old one off if I remember correctly, then another 20 to get the new one installed. Replaced the thermostat and filled with coolant and was back up and running. I found a new Murray pump on eBay for around $60

    Aftermarket parts don't last and sometimes leak

    Thank you very much for this video. I really like your style over some of the big brand store tutorials.
    I was just about to take my truck to the shop because I had to do the swap outside in 30-35 degree weather. It took me 3 hours with most of the time running in to get warm. Actual swap time was between 45 minutes to an hour. ( My fan was much harder to get off. ) Ordered Silicone radiator hoses with money I saved doing it myself. Thanks again.

    This was an awesome tutorial I really appreciate it, I'm saving it, I'm about to do this job this weekend, the only difference is is mine has electric fans, what was that pad that you used after the razor blade in before the blue towel to clean off the gasket area? Never heard of em i don't think

    This video is amazing and well edited. I agree with the other reviewers as such. However I will be handing this repair over to the mechanic. As a small business owner and full time employee I cannot justify this amount of work for one part . I would also want the belt , tensioner and Rad/heat hoses replaced. Good stuff man !     A friend has a leak, he is far so he is showing what he can via phone and I'm pretty sure that the pulley seals are leaking like yours. its "only" 110k miles. It leaks when the van engine is not running. Thanks for the veri detailed video!

    Extremely helpful..I saw in other videos people put RTV and the gaskets. Is the RTV necessary? Or fine without

      They do that so the gasket doesnt move or fall off..if u can get away without using it..its best..i just use the bolts to hold the gasket

    The fan clutch was horrible to remove. Nothing worked so I just took the whole pump and fan out together. Other than getting the fan off it was an easy job, good video

    What type of gaskets did you use on this for the water pump? I see numerous metal ones with the acdelco kit. Is there updated gaskets?
