Nice video bro, u seems super kind and open in every single point u address on the video, people like u helps a lot in the minoxidil comunity, i have some advices also u can try if u want :), first is when u face gets dry, it happened to me (im actually allergic to propilenglicol, one of the components regular minox brands) my face got dry and itchy, but in the market we have minoxidil without propilenglicol and this solved all the problems on my skin (also looks much better than before start using minoxidil). Second instead of dye your beard from time to time, u can use anti-gray shampoo, twice a month in the shower, helps a lot to not dry out the beard and it graduates the color naturally...and last, just leave it grow a bit longer, covers many of the patches (especially on the cheeks)...and again...great video, nice attitude...+1sub :)

@@JMusaATM I live in Spain, the brand I have found here is Regaxidil, but in the rest of the world it is easier to find EssenGen-5, if the problem of dryness is alcohol, there are also alcohol-free minoxidil such as Aquagaine, if you do not find none of these brands, you can also use thinner beard oils, they absorb much faster in the skin to prevent it from drying out :D, but if u gonna change brand be careful because when u change from Kirkland for example to PG free minox and then u put again Kirkland, the dry effect gets worse, and if u are allergic as i am, u can end with an strong allergic reaction 5 minuts after of apply Kirkland again xD, so be careful with the formula you choose...other than that, keep it growilng💪💪
Im thinking about using minoxidil for my beard only, do you think that it will cause permanent implications on my head hair? i dont know, i just see a lot of RUclipsrs use minoxidil for their beard only, and a few years later they all seem to start balding, do you think there is an indirect correlation? i know people say the scalp hair loss is temporary but once coming off of minoxidil a few year later, they all seem to have slightly less head hair..

Thank you for this video. My reason to start Minoxidil is I really REALLY hate shaving. Time consuming, irritates my skin, and now fabulously expensive since shaving gear has well more than doubled in price. I feel I had to shave because nothing looks more pathetic on a guy than a lousy patchy beard that has bald spots. When you are young you can get away with it, but once you get into the 20's if you can grow a good one then do that, if it is not good you need to shave. When I was young I had a unique calico mustache that ranged from glossy black to Viking red, to golden blond, and every sort of brown you can imagine. But I only grew it out once for a few weeks and shaved it because it itched like mad. I will use your advice.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Everything is definitely overpriced nowadays it’s stupid. I barely had facial hair at one point so I really am happy products like this exist for us men struggling to grow a beard or dealing with a patchy one. Hope your gains are where you want them to be now.

You don't have to apply it for life on the head. I head alopecia patch and was applying minoxidil for some time and now that i have a thicker and darker patch of hair there.

My story is funny man😂I was 11 years old and I allready started to see I grew in a very dark mustache. And my strongest point is. My goate. I have allways had a goate from the start. What I wanted was a full beard and after highschool I grew out the phase of clean shaving. And started to explore on beards. Saw my fav barbers cut people up and had great shape up on the beard and that’s when I really started to get serious. When it hits my birthday hopefully I get the full beard little over a month from now. The effects it gave me was headaches ok and off every other day my heart felt weird and the middle of my chest felt like someone had hit me hard and was unable to breath properly for a while when it happened. But am off it and am happy of off it. No side effects just use tea tree and Jamaican castor oil at night have to have a clean face to get it to absorb better. 10/10 recommend to do this well help those with patchy beards or wanting to get the beard in general.

And when I was in highschool I was the one being jealous at how perfect some people could grow out a full beard at the age of 18 years old. I would get toothpicks as some people call them the thin side burns and rock a goate. Got old and went with a L shape beard at the time. Thanks for the tips🤟🏽

Glad you started I have a few friends who are in their 30s with a patchy beard doing the same thing. Trust me you’ll have good beard in no time. Also have a workout plan for improved beard growth.
Ive had a decent beard since i was 12 yrs old. But im growing a bigger beard and my cheeks aren’t as thick as id like, like my chin area. So im applying minox on my cheeks as im growing it out. I hope i get a think dench beard.

(11:25) It's fun, cause I'm from The Netherlands and the only Minoxidil I could find online was the spray. I don't see it really coming back on RUclips, but it's really handy. It's like spraying perfume over your beard and massaging it in afterwards. Might be not working with a longer beard, but will be some months till I reach that anyways.
Dang that does sound handy and a lot easier to apple. Sucks they don’t have much options of minoxidil in the US either. We only have foam and liquid everything else is mostly overseas.

It may fade over time but it only darkens your skin for a day or so if you haven’t applied Vaseline before you put the dye on.

Só I've been on Minoxidil for 6 months and 3 weeks ago I've gotten a bad face swelling, wrinkles and very dry skin, so I took 2 weeks break. Now I'm back on it applying only less than 1ml at night. Do you think my gains have been ruined? Would I have to start again? or just continue for another 6 months to complete a year.
If the product is affecting your skin I’d stop and seek a professional help but if it’s working just fine than use it up until your thin hairs fall off and you get your terminal hairs growing in. I can’t tell you how long to use it. Everyone’s body is different.
i did minox for a month, got some hair in my cheeks, stoped, then in the following months got almost a full beard, very very patchy and very thin hairs, very weird then got back in the minox to get a real beard

I let it grow to much first time around and got good gains but this second round im keeping it very short for 6 months and seeing how it goes.
Shaving CAN help, also if you stop using minoxodil suddenly and for a short amount of time ON YOUR FACIAL HAIR it will fall off, your beard needs to be thick and pretty much grown to keep your gains and you need to slowly stop using it, i experienced all of these things trust me
In my opinion it doesn’t, it would if my genes were great and my beard grew back in a week but mine grows pretty slow so I speak for people whose beard grows slow as well. And yes our beard needa get terminal first before we stop use. Thanks my brotha for sharing

It’s permanent if you stay on it until your vellus hairs fall off and your terminal (thicker) hairs come in. Could take one or two years. Depends on genetics!

You have to make your own judgement. Most of my hairs are thicker and a lot darker and grow back quicker than my first year so I’m sure by this point my baby hairs are long gone but when you come close to that point you’ll also know but two years is a good time to stop especially with how fast your gains are in such a short amount of time brother. Maher Almaawi It will help fill in your patches and it may be good for your skin. Everyone’s body reacts different to the minoxidil. I had dry skin for the first few weeks but now I’m 7 months in my journey with no problems.

K J Many have reported to losing hair as part of their side effects in the first few weeks. So it may be a possible side effect for you as well. If you experience severe hair loss then I would either take it once a day or stop overall.

Minox only thickens already existing hair like vellus hairs. If you're bald under your lips then minox ain't gonna make new hairs just make the small white one into normal hair.
The other side, is when I was in high school I had the evening moustache and beard "shadow" and that's NOT good to visit a girl's home and her parents looking at you like you are a few years older than her, and hearing you are in her same school, actually asking if you washed back a couple grades, and then looking like they don't believe you on being told your actual younger age than they believe you look. It's like they think you and she both are lying.

You should always wait until the ending age of puberty before using Minxodil, I went from 18-20 with no hairs at all, and from 20-22 with a alot of hair but patchy. I am now using Minxodil to fill the gaps.

Laxus Dreyar Unfortunately, you can’t stop the shedding process but that should be a good sign. Your vellus hairs are falling off as they should and the terminal hairs will be coming in place of it.

Peacekeeper That’s perfectly fine as long as you’re applying it daily. I would recommend trying Jamaican black castor oil to help with the dryness of the skin so you can hopefully go back to applying twice a day.

Peacekeeper Around 9 am. You can even do 10 pm and 10 am. As long as it’s at least 8 hours between you’re good. But if you must apply it before it won’t make much of a difference. What matters is creating your own strict schedule.

@@thedarkage187 Age doesn’t matter. The hair follicles on your face is probably dead like mine was so the earlier you start the more convinced you’ll be of the wonders of minox. It’s purpose is to increase bloodflow to your beard area by growing a hair in any part of your cheek that has a hair follicle. Your genes dictate how many follicles that’s there but you’ll find out once you start applying it consistently and seeing the desired results over time.

I started using minoxidil about 3 weeks ago and I bought the foam and it isnt uncomfortable at all. BUT, its does dry the fuck out of my finger that I use to apply it and my skin starts to peel. I just bough the liquid form so I wont have to use my fingers

It’s possible but Everybody’s body reacts differently to the drug maybe the foam is the best option as I heard most say they rarely had any side effects when they started it off with the foam. Definitely use your best judgement or consult a doctor

You gotta stay on it longer than 2 months g. For as long as it will take for your baby hairs to fall off and your terminal darker hairs to kick in. That could take typically 1 to 2 years depending on your genetics

Great vid. In a minox group I am in, there was a guy who was applying minox to his eyebrows and he would wake up with severe eye burning and crusties all over his eye. This guy actually asked the group if it could possibly be due to the minox. LOL

Bro,, you will lose your gains if you stop taking it before the hairs are terminal... that’s not a myth... it takes about a year for those vellus hairs to turn... depending on your testosterone and genetics the time may differ....

Dreamove It won’t grow you a full beard and it depends on the genetics but you have to be consistent with it for at least 1-2 years or at least until your baby hairs become thicker. If you stop before that, it’ll fall off. You may notice results within your first 12-14 weeks but you have to stay on it.

Joshua Hartman That’s a great question I wish I knew the reason why. From my experience it was the opposite. It seemed like all the guys I knew could grow a beard at the age 14-16 and I never thought it’d be possible for me until I turned 22. Minoxidil did the trick for me.

Look bro everyone genetics are different. I used it for 1 1/2 and some hairs fell off but I had most of my gains. Some may need to use it for a year or two or in rare cases three. Maybe give it a try before making assumptions. Thanks for watching.

I wouldn't use it at your age. I didn't even have to shave at that age, and couldn't grow a beard until after 30. Now I can grow one in about 3-4 weeks, and it is pretty thick and even. Patience.
