I know you've just started but I've heard of side effects such as heart palpitations, hair falling out from your scalp and acne, have you noticed any of that? If not keep an eye out for them
At almost 4 weeks now, I have noticed several. Redness/hotness of the face (for the first week), really dry face (from the liquid minox), and some hair falling out of my scalp. I know it sounds alarming, but it's part of the natural cycle of hair, and I think I normally lose a lot of hair, the difference is now I'm watching for it 😅 But my hairline won't suddenly receed several inches or anything. And crazy enough, this is the first week ive applied, and i really do believe i have some results. Ive never been able to grow a full beard, and already getting small hairs on my cheeks. I also been taking fish oil supplements, and biotin. Along with multivitamin
Hi everyone. I have read in Beard Wiki that you will have to wait 24 hours to use minoxidil after microneedling. Does this waiting period also apply for 0.25mm derma rollers? Thank you!
Good question! If you've only used minoxidil for 1 month, chances are that your "gains" have not yet become terminal, fully developed hairs. Anything that is not yet a fully developed hair will stop growing, and not come back once you stop minoxidil. You MIGHT get new growth, everyone's facial hair is different, but it's unlikely. Minoxidil isn't really helpful to "kickstart the beard", but is more useful when used for long (1-2 years) periods of time. Short answer: You're unlikely to see new growth from the minoxidil if you stop, however genetics might continue to start new hairs. Hope that helped 😁
I really don't grow facial hairs. There is some mustache and on my chin but very very thin. My father and brothers don't grow much facial hairs as well. Will it still worth a try for me?
I'm 21 and can grow a decent beard and am thinking about doing this but in all honesty idk if I should because I have a full beard it's just half blond and the rest is dark brown do it looks thinner than it is. Although I do have some thing spots on my chin and cheeks
Good question! Depends on what you're looking for. If you have patches in your beard or want more density, then yes! If you're already happy with your beard now, you save money not buying the product and time by not applying it 2x per day 😅
@@ToBeardAndBeyond urm im not unhappy with my beard, my neck and cheeks are pretty strong most of it connects bar from my tash isnt there yet there not far off connecting . Good question! Kirkland and Rogaine aren't too different from each other. Rogaine is the "name brand", so it usually runs a bit more expensive, so I usually recommend Kirkland, but both are 5% minoxidil that should work the same. There's a link in my description to purchase! 😁

Hello just ordered 6month supply. I am 16 years old almost 17 I have a ton of vellus on my face already some are transitional hairs that get long kinda dark but aren’t thick yet I’ve also heard that it might now work for me because of my age or what not and I don’t really care thanks for the opinions but you only live once my dad can grow a beard same with my brothers but they keep it short but what I’m trying to say is that will it work for me I’m not sure but I will be taking pictures thanks!
i have a question, i stopped using minoxidil but my face is still dry all the time, and my face produces these flakes. it's like i have dandruff on my face skin. i tried some moisturizers but it didn't work. what should i do?
Same here. Use a gentle pH balanced cleanser AM/PM (I use SebaMed) - > The Ordinary hyaluronic acid + B5 (make sure to apply to damp face otherwise it can draw moisture out of the skin) - > The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA moisturizer - > thin layer of petroleum jelly. For additional benefits, layer all of it with sunscreen in the AM. Hope this helps
Im noticing a lot of dryness on my face. Do you apply lotion before or after applying minoxidil. And if so do you wait for the minoxidil to dry before putting lotion?
Yes if you're just getting started, for the first I'd say maybe two weeks your face is going to be ''irritated'' or feel chapped. It's not use to some strange substance invading it's real estate. This will pass or should pass after your face gets use to the new norm. (routine) However I'd wait at minimum 4 Hours after applying Minox before you apply a good moisturizer. I would apply twice a day at minimum starting out. Eventually once you get use to it, you can get away with once a day. Apply - wait 4 hours, wash your face, dry your face and apply moisturizer or any oils/treatments.
No Artificial Thanks for the advice! Yeah cause I never really had a problem with dry skin and my cheeks were more oily but then I started my journey a few days ago and It got dry.
Jan Jabines No I hear you - it was the same for me. It’ll pass, I ended up having to not apply for a day just to give my skin a break while I applied a lot of moisturizer. Or slow down to applying minox once a day till it gets adjusted. Whatever works - shouldn’t last long.
Already some really great advice given, but I too suffered from REALLY dry skin with liquid especially. It got so bad that I would apply minox and put lotion on top after an hour, although I don't know if it's "recommend". I do recommend foam however, I've had no dry skin whatsoever anymore! 😁
To Beard And Beyond I’ll take a look into it! I might use the liquid supply until I run out first though cause I dont wanna waste it hahaha. Awesome videos btw it’s nice seeing someone who had the same stuggles use minoxidil cause most videos I see on youtube about minoxidil use people who already have a good amount of facial hair. Keep these up, cause they really help!
I haven't experienced it thinning out my hair in any way. Some times I find more hair when I shampoo in the shower, but nothing major. I'm sorry to hear that! I'm only 3 months in, however.

@ to beard and beyond, i have a stupid question. Do you know is it safe to have long beard while using minox and own cats. Im afraid because i drop beardhairs allover the house. Can the beardhairs have minoxidil in them?
If you use minoxidil for long enough, the hairs slowly become terminal and will grow back on their own! If you miss a few days or even a few weeks, you won't see significant loss in hair, but if you stop for longer periods of time, then anything that isn't terminal will not grow back :)

Do you have to wash it after 4 hours? Can i Leave it on at night?
If you're just starting, use the foam. Don't be cheap. You won't have many side effects.Use liquid after it gets thicker.
I do think I'm going to switch to foam, having it dry in just a few minutes is also super preferable!
2:00 corona virus confirmed..
You're right....shhh
Charles Ford Jr that’s exactly what came to my mind also but in cardi B’s voice 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Oh god seeing a post about corona from “7 months ago” just threw me for a loop
I'm a little scared but I'm gonna buy some today! I've had a thick mustache and goatee -ish looking thing for a long ass time, but still I don't grow that much on my cheeks. Hopefully this works!
It has for me brother, I hope it does for you too! 😁
@@ToBeardAndBeyond thanks for the reply. I sort of chickened out. I bought some but its sitting in my closet. There are lots of success videos, which excited me. But I've also seen many experiences of people having weird reactions to the product/regretting using it. So right now I'm not sure if its worth the risk
How did it go?
I dont know why, i didnt think about using the wand to apply it. Ive been trying to come up with something to use, like a toothbrush, or anything. Thanks for that. As for the rest. Side effects, and all, ive not had any. Maybe a little burning, more like itching for the first 10 minutes is about all. And crazy enough, this is the first week ive applied, and i really do believe i have some results. Ive never been able to grow a full beard, and already getting small hairs on my cheeks. I also been taking fish oil supplements, and biotin. Along with multivitamin
im 15 and this worked super good
Good video bro. Gonna start my own minoxidil journey in about a month. Cant wait.
Thank you, and I hope it goes well for you! 😁👍
8 months later, how did it go?
Qui lava More or less a full beard.

I use disposable gloves. I wonder what the interaction between propylene glycol and the gloves is
Huh, I never thought about that!
I'm looking forward to see your progress, I've been using minoxidil for 2 months
Congrats! Hope things are going well for you too!
How is it going bro?
Love this vid absolutely fantastic!!!!❤️❤️❤️
I thought this dude was Carl Gallagher at first
Hi everyone. I have read in Beard Wiki that you will have to wait 24 hours to use minoxidil after microneedling. Does this waiting period also apply for 0.25mm derma rollers? Thank you!
Great channel❗❗❗
Wanted to ask if I quit minox after 1month will I be able to get new natural growth results, or does it stop it from growing?
That first tip after one week.. is just pure comedy
While on your journey did you shave at all or trim ? And if so did shaving more often help the grow process?
I really don't grow facial hairs. There is some mustache and on my chin but very very thin. My father and brothers don't grow much facial hairs as well. Will it still worth a try for me?
The foam is awesome man. Zero sides
I switched 4 weeks ago and won't go back!
Would I get side effects if I only used it for mustache gap?
Please can you keep us updated with your progress
You got it!
I'm 21 and can grow a decent beard and am thinking about doing this but in all honesty idk if I should because I have a full beard it's just half blond and the rest is dark brown do it looks thinner than it is. Although I do have some thing spots on my chin and cheeks
Is it worth trying if you already have a strongish basis of a beard, like i have a pretty good bit of length.
But i know you dont really reach your best form of your beard till your early 20's , im 18 and i just dont know if its worth getting it to speed up the process. And i onvioisly wouldnt mind adding to the thickness.
Hye bro, Im having genetic issue I couldnt grow a beard. So which brand would work for me? Kirkland or Rogaine?
It’s the same thing
Good question! Kirkland and Rogaine aren't too different from each other. Rogaine is the "name brand", so it usually runs a bit more expensive, so I usually recommend Kirkland, but both are 5% minoxidil that should work the same. There's a link in my description to purchase! 😁
@@pneu9059 thanks for the reply dude
@@ToBeardAndBeyond Okay noted. Thank you man :)
I love the fact that he didn't mention that only 40% respond to it
I do, and really well, but not everyone is lucky
Also, the red skin and inflammation it's due to the fact that the solvent is alcohol. Lol
I am in a day one in minoxidil journey😂let's see the results personally
@Yeshwant Sape man matter
@Yeshwant Sape yes but you have to wait atleast 3 months
Results?
Is it safe to add minoxidil for both facial hair and your hair in the same time ? And can I add more than 1 ml since I’m applying both my facial hair and hair ?
Does it effect your hair on your head such as receding
Im a bit late but it wont
Theoretically it should
Conor Mulligan only way it could, is through a temporary side effect of minoxidil which causes some hair loss but other than that it wouldn’t
Conor Mulligan u can prove me wrong, i dont know too much about minoxodil
@@Umi23 i dont either but i think it really depends on genetics
At 6 months rn it’s definitely a slow journey
I have another problem which is iam living in hot country do u know how can i keep it save because I heard it should be on 24 c* , so is it ok just to keep it in the locker? And keep going bro 🤙
i don't know if it varies between the liquid minox and the aerosol foam, but I would say do your best to keep it as cool as you can. I don't think temperature will affect it's effectiveness, but yeah just keep it in the coolest place you can think of! Thank you, you too!!
I’m 17 with a little bit of beard do you recommend starting now or wait until I’m a little more older ?
Start using when you turn 18
How hello guys quick question, how often should I derma roll ?
Hello
I have a bit of a natural beard, I want to start using minoxidil to fill in some holes in my beard. Do you think I can lose the beard I already have?
You won't lose anything you already have 😁
Should I shake the minoxidil before using it liquid and foam?
Hello just ordered 6month supply. I am 16 years old almost 17 I have a ton of vellus on my face already some are transitional hairs that get long kinda dark but aren’t thick yet I’ve also heard that it might now work for me because of my age or what not and I don’t really care thanks for the opinions but you only live once my dad can grow a beard same with my brothers but they keep it short but what I’m trying to say is that will it work for me I’m not sure but I will be taking pictures thanks!
Best of luck to ya!
I couldn't grow a decent beard until I was over thirty. didn't even have to shave at 16- 18. But now can re profile picture.
I noticed I’m breaking out with this stuff you think I’ll get results if I’m doing it 2xs or even 1 a week
Hi ive seen alot of gains in my beard I use 5% 2ml everyday and a derma roller i use it sinds september and I am asian
Bro how was your result now??
@@haldersaswata7473 iam shedding right now its getting thicker and I shave if off beceause its better
i have a question, i stopped using minoxidil but my face is still dry all the time, and my face produces these flakes. it's like i have dandruff on my face skin. i tried some moisturizers but it didn't work. what should i do?
Why do you need to wash your face after 4 hours?
So did it thin out your hair I’ve tried it for 6 months and my hairline has a thin patch in one spot so I just quit
I haven't experienced it thinning out my hair in any way. Some times I find more hair when I shampoo in the shower, but nothing major. I'm sorry to hear that! I'm only 3 months in, however.
Hey hi, I'm using minoxidil since last month and i completeled using minoxidil for 5 weeks n 6 th week is running. @ to beard and beyond, i have a stupid question. Do you know is it safe to have long beard while using minox and own cats. Im afraid because i drop beardhairs allover the house. Can the beardhairs have minoxidil in them?
Does the hair fall after stop using it?
If you use minoxidil for long enough, the hairs slowly become terminal and will grow back on their own! If you miss a few days or even a few weeks, you won't see significant loss in hair, but if you stop for longer periods of time, then anything that isn't terminal will not grow back :)
Can I use minoxidil for beard even if I have literally nothing on my beard and I can’t grow one
Surprised you didn't mention micro needling.
What are the some bad side effects and how do you know it.
You wake at 8am? Wow.
Not anymore 😅😂 now that college is online, I'm waking up much later 😬
@@ToBeardAndBeyond I live in Hawaii and I am up at 6am at the latest, due to sunrise to sunset heat and ....the mornings are soooooo awesome here. Enjoy college! I dropped out, but I still managed to retire at 46 (military contracting) and buy a lovely property in Hawaii, Hilo....specifically.
Any unwanted or thinning hair on other areas of the body? ps love that you kept the sneeze in there
Ha thanks 😂 Gotta let my personality show through. I've just entered my 3rd week of minox, so I might have more information in a later video. So far, nothing like that! But I know those things can happen, and probably WILL happen, but much of that is part of the natural hair cycle, so shedding shouldn't be too worrying!
u kinda look like chael sonnen

Didn't work on me. Tried it for 8 months.
pls where can i get minoxidil for just a month supply?
The sneezes got you a like 🤪
I’m confused... Where is the beard? I have been over a year with minox....and I have no beard....still like baby butt.
Oh man, that's not good 😭 Try using 10% or 12.5% minoxidil. It helps people who's face isn't as sensitive to 5%. Maybe try dermarolling too!
@@ToBeardAndBeyond how do I get to purchase the 10 or 12.5 minoxidil
I used minoxidil for few months didn't see any changes when I stopped using it my hair fell like crazy can that be the cause?
You needed to use it for longer, you only had vellus hairs, not terminal ones, meaning they weren't permanent hair
I have good beard growth naturally but it's very patchy on middle part of the chin. Can minoxidil increase the growth?
It might not necessarily increase the speed at which hair grows, but it most definitely will thicken the hair and fill in the patches!
@@ToBeardAndBeyond Thanks! any side effects?? coz i hear rumours about it and please do recommended a good brand which is available worldwide.
F!zZ You may grow more hair in other places like your arms, legs, chest, ears and eyebrows but it varies from person to person.
@@Noot-Noot7305 I thought it works only on applied areas. 🤔
@@Noot-Noot7305 right! For me, I find some hair under my eyes, between my eye brows, on the tops of my fingers, and on my chest. Nothing CRAZY, and nothing I can't shave while on minox!

How long I need to use minoxidil I have a little beard
Probably 1-2 years for most people's hair to become permanent!
i just turned 16 gonna be using this, I can grow a beard, very thick mustache, just want to grow it even thicker lol
Did it work?
do you use 1ml on each side ? or you use half on each side of your cheeks?

I am asian too ... But my beard rocks almost everywhere except for a part where the growth is thin on the middle side of jaw. You need good jaw facial hair for a Kratos style goatie.
How's it
how would you recommend ending the use? like after how much time
It's important that you don't stop as soon as you have a full beard because the hairs won't be terminal yet. I'd recommend stopping 3-6 months after you have a full Beard.
