I couldn't grow hardly anything until my early 30's. I've had a circle beard since then. Now I am 40 and slowly growing a full beard. Patience is absolutely crucial because some people, like myself, have facial hair that grows really slow. I expect my beard to take six months to a year to fill in. Also, I started using beard oils, wash, and conditioner at the beginning stages of growth rather than wait until there was something more substantial there. Skincare matters.

But then you have Jack, hes young, just out of college, a few years ago he was going through same struggles as everyone watching these videos. You feel like you can trust what he says, not just bc hes a great speaker and experienced beardsman, but also because he was in your shoes not long ago. Struggling his way up. I was quite certain that I’d never be able to grow one well. Some dudes had full beards at 16 which made me feel like I’d never have one. You have a few years to go before you have to worry about it not growing.

I'm only 16 and all I see after 2 weeks is some thin black hairs for a mustache, a bit of a soul patch with like 3 or 4 small black hairs, and my chin which has only around 2 or 3 little cm length hairs that are also my hair color, I dont count peach hairs because that stuff is all along my chin and is longer than my black hairs, I dont get neck hair for some reason but the longest iv hade facial hair for was abt 2 1/2 weeks, I dont know if ill be able to grow facial hair
Patience and persistence is really the biggest advice you can follow. Never went for full 30 days before myself even though mine comes in relatively fast after shaving. I usually quit because I thought this wont lead anywhere or looks stupid. When I kept resisting the urge to shave and cracked week after week it just turned out that my cheeks are only a little slower growing than the rest and not as dense as the rest as well. In the first weeks you notice these kinds of things fast but after giving it time they caught up and I went for full 12 weeks, getting more happy with my beard week after week and learning how it actually grows. Stay strong and resist the urge! Only with some (more) time you´ll learn how your own beard works.
You could ask a neighbour or relative. They're free too. Not against this channel, I'm just saying. I asked a guy with an epic beard at my gym about growing my beard and he gave me great advice :D Maybe he watched beardbrand ha

W0RN I tried liquid minoxidil for 3 months. It did work because it brought in new vellus hairs but I still had transition hairs in the upper lip and other regions of my face. Had those from the start. This was last year when I was 20. I quit because I want to wait until I get more terminal hairs to start again. Don’t know when that will be at this point

I grew a beard to coverup a knife wound on my face, best decision I ever made because not only did it hide the scar and make me look more approachable it actually ended up looking sick I won some kind of genetic lottery I didn't know I had won and I have a super thick dark beard so it was a win win for me.

Jack, I've been following this channel for a while now and your beard looks fuller and healthier each time you shave and regrow it. Even at 65 years old, I have found that to be the case with my own beard. Beards evolve over time, you just have to keep trying. By the way, having tried nearly all the beard products out there, I have to say that Beardbrand products, although pricey, are the best I've tried. Most beard products smell like pine tar or wet leather. You guys have very nice masculine fragrances in your products. Keep up the good work.
I’m 38 and my facial hair is finally starting to take shape. A year ago, I heard and decided to give it 3 months without doing anything to it, besides care. Brushing and products. And living in SE Louisiana, I’ll tell you; my family is not known for beards whatsoever. Mustaches, oh def! But it grows super slow in the heat and humidity. Yet if you form it right, and everyone is different in that respect. You can grow one and have something great.

I'm 22, soon to be 23. I been having to shave more and more these past 2 years until I needed to shave every 48 hours. Decided to now start growing. These tips are very useful and interesting. Two weeks in and I am definitely at the awkward phase or just starting it. my moustache part is not ready yet, maybe in a few years.
I literally only grow hair under my jawline. Like it goes from the side burns and literally just grows under my chin and right at the line of my jaw. Im 3 weeks in and starting to lose hope 😂

try minoxidil
W0RN I tried liquid minoxidil for 3 months. It did work because it brought in new vellus hairs but I still had transition hairs in the upper lip and other regions of my face. Had those from the start. This was last year when I was 20. I quit because I want to wait until I get more terminal hairs to start again. Don’t know when that will be at this point

I am 15 and I have some facial. I first started getting some hair when I was 13 but since then my facial hair has got a lot denser and I have never shaved in my life probably that's the reason behind me being able to notice my progress. And beardbrand has always helped me. Thanks beardbrand
Very encouraging. For someone who never really was able to grow facial hair, this is my first time ever really giving it a chance. I’m almost 4 weeks in with almost a full goatee with some hair growing in along my jaw lines. Only stragglers on the cheeks right now but really going to give it all a fair chance to grow. I am and always have been a guy who has no interest in growing a beard. I’m happy with my angular face and high cheekbones and so is my lady friend ;) and I don’t want to hide it underneath facial hair.
That being said, I want to thank you for your reasonable input in this video. I see a lot of videos with bearded d-bags who think the sun rises and sets on their faces and who claim that clean-shaven men are less masculine and “wimpy” so to speak. You came across here as respectful and nonjudgmental and I appreciate that. You enjoy your beard, but don’t feel a need to push it on someone else like an unwelcome scripture.

I grew a beard to coverup a knife wound on my face, best decision I ever made because not only did it hide the scar and make me look more approachable it actually ended up looking sick I won some kind of genetic lottery I didn't know I had won and I have a super thick dark beard so it was a win win for me.

Jack, I've been following this channel for a while now and your beard looks fuller and healthier each time you shave and regrow it. Even at 65 years old, I have found that to be the case with my own beard. Beards evolve over time, you just have to keep trying. By the way, having tried nearly all the beard products out there, I have to say that Beardbrand products, although pricey, are the best I've tried. Most beard products smell like pine tar or wet leather. You guys have very nice masculine fragrances in your products. Keep up the good work.
I’m 38 and my facial hair is finally starting to take shape. A year ago, I heard and decided to give it 3 months without doing anything to it, besides care. Brushing and products. And living in SE Louisiana, I’ll tell you; my family is not known for beards whatsoever. Mustaches, oh def! But it grows super slow in the heat and humidity. Yet if you form it right, and everyone is different in that respect. You can grow one and have something great.
