Would it be possible to make a video comparison on different sizes? Tone, sound quality. What works and doesn't work on different sizes. Typical uses and style of music performed. History. Difference in technique, if any. Physical limitations for players etc. ? I tried to search for such video but wasn't able to find anything comprehensive.
@@FelixSaint just To clarify you mean on the different lengths of Shakuhachi and the type of tones they produce and what pieces fit well for them and what have been done historically
@TairyuShakuhachi Precisely! In my mind , for some reason it feels like most non 1.8 were made as a jinashi and makers just went what sounded right. But i feel that is wrong and there might be traditional significance for various sizes as well.
So that would be exactly 1 year away from original giveaway. And back then I said you should do 2.1 if possible and now its finally here! And it sounds and looks amazing. I hope my luck was just waiting on this one to manifest itself haha
I’m on the trial Shoden and loving it 😊, actually getting ready to switch to the full Shoden lessons. I went in the Perks and noticed that I cannot upgrade, could it be because I haven’t been a member for a month yet? And when I subscribe to the full Shoden, shall I still be able to enrol in the giveaway (even though I already am a member)? Thank you! It’s fantastic to be able to learn like this.
Thank you so much for your comment. That's strange that you can't upgrade. I would go to the membership page and there should be an upgrade button. Then you can choose the full Shoden or Chuden etc. You don’t need to do anything else. All members are automatically entered in.
Ok I got it sorted. There seems to be an issue with the RUclips app in iOS : no upgrade button. You actually have to go on the desktop version to find it(force it it you’re on tablet) and uninstall the RUclips app for it to work. Temporary bug for sure, but in the meantime if someone else had the issue, here’s the fix 😅. So glad to be in the giveaway … it would be the perfect excuse to come pick it up in person. There’s a reasonable chance that I might be going in Autumn, starting from Tokyo then going North (3rd time in Japan - I’m hopelessly hooked).
