Thanks so much for this, we are going for 4 nights next October after a couple weeks touring around Italy, we can’t wait! And yes the one thing we noticed about coffee on our last trip was how many people stopped in for 2 minutes for a quick espresso and left - virtually no places where you are ordering an extra large coffee to go!
Amazing! Coffee struggles are real 😂 We have a blog on the Amalfi Coast to help your planning. andrewandkait.com/2022/09/08/the-best-10-day-amalfi-coast-capri-and-rome-vacation-itinerary/ Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!

It looks like a dream vacation! I think you’re right that if your goal is to learn about Italian culture, then the Amali Coast is not the place to go. However, why not enjoy a beautiful place? My situation is the opposite because my wife has lots of family in Italy, so when we visit we spend most of the time with family and squeeze in a bit of tourism. During our next trip we plan to spend most of our time as tourists, including the Amalfi Coast.
Yeah we totally agree! Amalfi Coast is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. We believe places like the Amalfi Coast are tourist destinations for a reason because of the beauty of the destination. We plan on visiting again this year!
Andrew and Kait - This video came up on my recommended list because I enjoy the Amalfi coast. You did an amazing job with great photography, editing and narrating! You are both also very natural on screen - A genuine and authentic couple not trying to be too trendy, hip or cool, which was refreshing. I am subscribing and offering my encouragement because you really struck a positive tone with me. For background, I subscribe to quite a few travel vloggers so I'm familiar with several of the popular travel and adventure RUclipsrs - keep it up, and I'll be following your journey now. Cheers!
Hey guys, just found you today! We are planning a trip to the Amalfi coast next September, and you've already given us info we needed, such as how to book the sunchairs on the beach. Online! Cool. We'll check out all your Amalfi coast videos. We're also going to Rome for four nights- really looking forward to that. Also 4 nights in a pricey, but beautiful Anacapri hotel overlooking the sea. And we're doing 3 nights in Sorano! I wanted to experience medieval Italy, and after watching dozens of walking videos, we picked Sorano for the sloping pedestrian-only streets and the elegant decay of the buildings. We're staying in the Hotel Della Fortezza, a medieval castle turned hotel. Can't wait! Safe travels! If you have any other Positano tips you can pass on to me besides what you do in the videos, please do! And you're a really cute, adorable couple!
New subscriber! So glad I found your channel as I am currently planning our family's Italy trip. Could you tell me your recommendation for traveling from Sorrento to Positano? Did you rent a car?
Thank you so much for subscribing! We always suggest taking the ferry whenever moving cities on the coast. You can take a ferry from Sorrento to Positano and have porters take your luggage to your Airbnb or hotel for you from the port in Positano. We used Ferryhopper app to buy tickets and see ferry times. We have blogs detailing our trip that could help you plan your trip as well. andrewandkait.com/2022/09/08/one-weekend-in-sorrento-italy/ Thank you so much for watching😊
Positano is a beautiful, little beach town in Italy on the Amalfi Coast, famous for its colorful buildings, excellent restaurants, and picturesque coastline.
No, you can always ask for an Americano to get you close to the American style of to go coffee, but it will still probably be smaller than what we are accustomed to.
We took the Ferry to Positano from Sorrento. We wouldn’t suggest driving they don’t have many parking spots and it’s a difficult drive. They also have Ferries from Naples as well.
Hi, Yes! The best way to see the Amalfi Coast is on a boat. We booked our boat tour on Airbnb experiences. Here’s the link. abnb.me/x85XRCMEjrb Have fun on your trip. If you have any other questions let us know.
@@AndrewandKait my wife and I are planning a trip in September and just watching videos to get an idea of some of the things to expect. We were torn on when we should go. The reason we set on Sept (almost considered Oct) was because we want to bypass as much of the crowds as possible, beat some of the intense heat but still enjoy the beaches, and hopefully catch a break on in season travel expenses. Do you think Sept would be a great time to go?
Yeah totally! Less people, still warm, and cheaper all together trip. Sounds like a good plan. We always travel in off season. The water was still too cold to swim, but everything else was perfect in May. I’m sure it would be the same in Sept. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask us before you go.
@@em1860 Actually, September is still high season so the prices will still be up there but there are always amazing deals if you do your research. Because of Covid, there really is no more “bypassing the crows”…everyone is travelling to make up for the 2 years when they couldn’t! And Italy suffered the most financially, so prices are high to make up for lost revenue and also because they know tourists are travelling and will pay it. We were there early last May which is supposedly a shoulder season and it was packed with tourists. October is when things start to shut down and you will find fewer shops and restaurants open, as they end their season. Prices are cheaper then but weather is unpredictable and you won’t have as many options for shopping and food. Positano (pronounced POE-si-tano) will be crowded. Just accept it and have fun. I always find it silly when American tourists complain about there being too many American tourists where they are lol. Hello? Kinda hypocritical. You might consider staying in Praiano which is about 5 minutes from Positano and you can get so much more for your money and far less stair climbing. We stayed at the Hotel Pellegrino and they are amazing!! Full service 4 star hotel with killer views and an unbelievable rooftop restaurant. Luigi and his family are so gracious and we cannot recommend their hotel enough. He even offers free rides into Positano whenever you need it. Another tip is subscribe to The Positano Diaries on RUclips. Nicki Positano is a local who shows daily life there and gives valuable tips on what to see and do in the region. Last tip…excursions and restaurants get sold out and booked so book everything ahead of time…boats, restaurants, tours. We ate at the best restaurant in Positano, La Tagliata. It is an amazing culinary and entertainment experience. Highly recommend but they do book up so reserve early! Have a great trip…you’re going to love it!!
We took public transit so we don’t have much to share personally about parking, but we have heard it’s challenging with high costs to park and low parking spaces. We would suggest taking public transit. The best way to get from Naples to Positano is by ferry just get a taxi from the airport or train station to the ferry port we bought our tickets on ferryhopper.com. Hope that helps you make a decision on how to get to Positano.

what month did you go in?
This is absolutely wonderful
I’m going to positano next month, I’m so excited :)
How exciting! Have a great time. Our biggest tip is be prepared for all of the stairs and catch the ferry from Naples to get to Positano. 🙂
I've always dreamed of visiting here! Looks so beautiful ♥
It was so beautiful! Definitely a great place to visit. Just keep in mind the 400 stairs 😅

Thank you so much!
you two are wonderful people!
Thank you!
Beautiful! ❤️
It was so beautiful! We wish we would have prepared on the stair climber before going. 😂 400 steps up and down multiple times per day wore us out!
@@AndrewandKait that’s why I watch you all on you tube... no stairs! 😂thanks for taking us a long . Your videos are so informative and fun! 😍

what month was this?
Do they have American size espresso😁
No, you can always ask for an Americano to get you close to the American style of to go coffee, but it will still probably be smaller than what we are accustomed to.
Where did you park in order to get to the lincanto beach
We took the Ferry to Positano from Sorrento. We wouldn’t suggest driving they don’t have many parking spots and it’s a difficult drive. They also have Ferries from Naples as well.

We went in May this year. Are you planning a trip or just scoping out future places to visit?

I suggest trying regions like Puglia or Sicilia. Less tourists, cheaper, better food.
