Great review! I think I’ll be constantly evaluating my travel credit card options. After jealously hearing of my brother’s travel perks and credits, he sent me a referral link for an AmEx Platinum card. We’ve definitely gotten our mileage out of it with travel credits, Uber, streaming and other credits, a travel insurance claim and, of course, the lounge access. About half of the AmEx Membership Rewards points from the spend bonus turned into business class seats on Iberia to Madrid (those lay flat seats/pods have been on our bucket list!) But, I think we’ll be reevaluating which card to use every few years…if it doesn’t hit the credit score too bad and we can earn fresh spend bonuses every few years, it seems worth it. Do others do this successfully?

Best way is a fast train from Rome to Salerno, then a ferry to Positano, so easy.

Don´t forget to mention that not only a booking is needed but there is a fee to enter the cat room. 19.99 pounds sterling for the cat room and 24.99 pounds sterling for the kitten room for a specific amount of time. This fee is PER PERSON! And aside is the coffee and pastries bill.

Positano is beautiful but if the Positano Diaries taught me anything, is that I would never want to live there. It's so crowded with tourists, unless you're from there, getting around is not very easy, and all the walking and therefore sweating (I sweat a lot and very easily) would ruin my vacation. My ideal situation would be to have someone who already lives there that I could go stay with for a week 😅

The botanical gardens is a great day long trip. You can combine it with the Biodome and the Planetarium. The scale is much smaller than what I have seen in other cities but it is still worth the trip.

Wonderful video! Exactly what I was looking for, we are taking this trip in July. Can you give an idea of how much time it took to get through baggage claim at FCO and down to the train station? I am thinking of buying our train tickets in advance and am trying to figure out a timeline. We would be taking the train from the airport into Rome and then the train from the central Rome station into Naples. Did it also take a lot of time to switch train once getting to the city center and getting the next train to Naples? Any help would be appreciated.
