Such useful advice ! Thank you. Heading to Rome and the Almafi Coast towards the end of August . Trying to gather as much information as I can before then ;-)
Depends, are you going to walk with luggage up a million steps if your hotel is located higher up in Positano? If your hotel is closer to the main beach and there isn't much walking up steps, well than YES Rome to Salerno then a ferry to Positano makes sense. There are so many variables - so it really depends on logistics
No need to worry about planning your trip. We have a Itinerary and guide! A perfectly planned trip to the Amalfi Coast. Check it out here: andrewandkait.store/shop/p/italy-guide-amalfi-coast-capri-rome
A lot of people are also saying training directly to Salerno (ferry port is right beside the train station so no need to uber to it), and then ferry to Positano. Do you recommend this?

This is epic! Thank you for sharing your experience. Is there a reason why you didn't recommend a train and driver option from Salerno? Or would Naples be a better option for taxis? Any apps that you recommend for taxi bookings? Thanks!
We have many other videos in Rome, Amalfi Coast, and showcasing a travel day on this route! We also have plenty of photos and resources on our website and in our Amalfi Coast Guide linked in the description 😊
You mentioned an Almafi coast guide, where can we find that? I'm planning a trip to Positano in July and am so afraid of the crowds!! We went 20 years ago and it was magical! We hired a drive to get there, harder to find a driver home

Best way is a fast train from Rome to Salerno, then a ferry to Positano, so easy.

Very helpful! How do you hire a private driver?
We have all of the details in our guide here: andrewandkait.store/shop/p/italy-guide-amalfi-coast-capri-rome
private driver is same as a car. just make sure you can get parking. stay in praiano not positano
She talked so fast, I missed so much of what she was saying…I gave up watching her
I know I’m a fast talker - I try to slow down but I can’t help myself sometimes lol😅😂 You can always change the playback speed to make it slower!
