Thanks. Could not have installed my iPad Mini without this video. Mine came with a screen protector bonded to the front plate which I didn't want. Fortunately, it can be peeled away from the front plate relatively easily and the adhesive residue rubbed away.

Nice review. I don’t buy AppleCare for none of my iPads or any Apple products. But this military-style protector does it’s job. I’ve ordered the newer iPad Mini 6 today and will be protected with this product. The iPad Mini 5 will be given to a good friend of mine after I transfer all files/settings to the new one. Thanks for the review
After working at the apple store, the only apple care that is worth it are the apple watch and airpods apple care. The rest are scams. You can maybe argue the iPhone but like you said, just buy a case Lol.

My household has about 7 ipads, 4 of which are minis, all have been otterboxed since day one ....still managed to crack screens on at least three of them ...the screen replacement cost is almost the cost of the ipad itself...so wasnt worth doing ....only thing which saved some cost was the fact that one of the ipads had apple care and so was repaired at around £39 has opposed to around £300 ...even with the cost of applecare at around £70 added on it was worth it
Ok if you manage to go a couple of years without damaging your ipad....but i guarantee you will instantly regret it if you so happen to crack your screen in the first 2 years which would of been covered with Applecare
depends a lot on your household has well ....i had three small children 5-8 year old ....one who accidentaly stepped on an ipad ...and i broke one when folding a rear car seat on to it
Cases are good....otterbox is one of the best .....but for some..... Applecare is still recommended

Can the pencil dock on the side close with the pencil inside ? Seems like it would not close.
Does the ipencil charge while it's in the screen cover?
No but there is spot on the side of the case that allows charging while the case is on
Got my Otterbox yesterday. It came with a screen protector. My guess is that supply problems over the last year meant they couldn't always include it.
I've been seeing reviews on Amazon where most people also said they received a screen protector with it. Mine did not come with one. Was the screen protector that came with yours glass or plastic?

I've cracked an I pad screen trying to snap together the two inner plastic parts. My other otter box, the volume buttons wore out, so I had to carry the phone, (this time a phone), so I had to take it off, and then, OF COURSE, I dropped the phone an cracked the screen...Thanks Otterbox. ALSO, the Rubber part on my iPad Pro otter box case, was all lose at the edges, it was partly how I crackled the screen while trying to get it to stay put. Otto box has declined in quality.
