I don’t know why but I could watch these all day 😂 I do not need a third iPad but this could fit in my purse so easily and would be the first time a data plan would make sense for me. It could be my little buddy!
Gonna sell my old small one so I can get this smaller one but I'm going to wait a few months to see if they release a different version or something. They're always having random releases.
@@GopherCakeStuff hmmm I don’t think they have ever released a different version just a couple of months after releasing one. They usually only do it at at least 1 year intervals. Apple products don’t usually ever have defects though so you should be good, if that’s what you’re worried about.
Hey Gary, I want to say I love the content you make on these devices, a lot of stuff you’ve recommended in the past I’ve bought. Between you and Max Tech, you guys have really reshaped my tech ecosystem. And my quality of life have improved as a result, thanks man.
Gary, you have a very genuine and natural charisma on camera. I really believe you could have been an actor or some type of broadcaster. You are a natural. Believe me, you've already easily convinced me to add this iPad to my regularly used 2018 11" Pro. Dude, you are that infectious.
The new Folio case and Apple Pencil 2 are my default must-have add-ons for my new iPad mini. I bought a heavy notebook style cover for my old iPad mini but that was to help it pass to look like a Kindle on the bus. I don't believe in screen protectors. They tend to wear down the points on the Apple Pencil. No bag, the mini fits in the inside pocket of my jacket so it is well-protected outside. No iPad is suitable as a laptop replacement. If you need a laptop, get a MacBook Air. I have several big Anker batteries in the 20,000 mAh range so I can charge more than I device at a time. I'll look for a USB-C to Lightning adapter so I can still use my EarPods, though I'm really looking forward to the stereo sound. I rarely used EarPods with my old mini.
Bluetooth keyboard probably biggest thing. I do plan to just use the same one as my MacBook but need to figure out a compact one to throw in my bag. I type more than I realized. Like now. 😂
I’m hopeful that Twelve South will make an updated Book Book case for the new Mini, the one I have for the previous version won’t fit since the new mini is actually smaller in size, even though it has a larger screen. I adore this case. If your into stitching and zippers and quality leather you’d love their cases, plus it just looks classy. Other than that, the B&W Pi7 earbuds are a must for any audiophile. The sound puts the AirPods to shame. But they also cost twice as much…
My purple iPad Mini arrived today, and I love it! The size is perfect, it’s fast and a gorgeous colour 💜 Just deciding on a Bluetooth keyboard to go with it!
I actually like that you threw in the bit with the controller at the end. I’m watching this video on my new iPad mini 6 and totally forgot the fact that I can use my Xbox controller with it to have some fun after work!
I’ve always been a mini fan, but none have really caught my eye because I wanted to pencil. Now I have that and a nice mini. I have the pro, but the idea of being able to have an on the go ipad that fits in my purse. Had to get it!
I think the Apple Pencil is very expensive unless you’re drawing. If you want to take notes, use one of the Apple Pencil clones....they’re £/$20 and work so well that I’ve got three of them! Also, if you write a lot of Matt screen cover is amazing and prevents finger prints altogether.
I got a backlit folding Bluetooth keyboard that unfolds to full size but folds up to phone size, and my plan is to use it to turn the iPad mini into a fully-fledged purse computer! You might be surprised how often a tech lady ends up needing to do some impromptu research or messaging on the go, and it’s really obnoxious to do all that on a phone or to have to always lug around a bigger tablet or laptop.
I do all my note taking on my iPad Mini. I love it....just don’t use the writing to text function. It’s not reliable enough. Just take notes as you would in the Notes app. Works very well.
Have my new mini on order. Still on the hunt for the perfect rugged case. Don’t see any options from otter box or Griffen survivor yet. Aeropex Aftershox are by far my headphones of choice. I’d just lose the AirPods in a snow bank and it would still be something stuck in my ears. Nothing helps you hear what’s going on around you on the job than nothing in your ears. Also looking for a MagSafe style type C connector for charging as my flaky lightning port on my mini 4 has taught me would be the best option long term. As a cable installer I’m pretty abusive to my equipment. I’d stick with the mini 4 for a while longer but the charge port drives me mental now.
I plan on using a Bluetooth speaker, JBL clip 4, the case that I have for the mini has a loophole for the pen to stand on but I use it to clip the speaker on.
Casetify's folio case, the Zugu case, and the iMieet case are my top choices right now. Casetify's folio case has a loop inside the case for the apple pencil, there are slots for paper or credit card storage, and it has a book-like look. It also supports artists and sustainability due to recycling. The Zugu case is made of a faux leather, it has a secure spot for the apple pencil, a storage option on the back of the case, and it has a secure stand. The iMieet case is unique since it doesn't allow storage where the apple pencil charges to avoid battery damage from it charging 24/7, and instead has a storage option on the other side of the iPad, and you can magnetically attach the apple pencil to the charging side without taking the case off. But the storage part is on the other end, and people in the reviews were confused by it. If you don't thoroughly look at the images and you don't read the descriptions of the iMieet case, it is easy to get confused. Make sure to look at the pictures and the description of the product you're buying or thinking about buying before you actually buy it.
Great choices, I want to buy am iPad mini case but don’t know which one. So do you think having the pencil on the other side is a great idea? Is it bad that rhe Apple Pencil is always attached? That was my only concern referring to the iMieet one. The Zugu one looks perfect otherwise, great recommendation.
Can we use it as office laptop like just small works because i am replacing my laptop but i dont want have new one because their battery dont last long
I’ve upgraded from the 5 to the 6. The only thing i have to get use to is the Touch ID placement. I found it more convenient on the 5. Obviously Apple had to move it for the design change. Games run smoother and the 4K video recording is so smooth and clear when moving around.
if you do a glass screen protector, to me, it disconnects the pencil from the laminated display. it makes it feel like a 8th gen ipad and apple pencil 1. just get apple care, its stupid cheap on this ipad and screen protectors usually suck
Hello, since October 29 th I am beside my iPad Pro 11 inch a very happy owner of an iPad mini 6. OMG this is really a fantastic device. I use for transportation of my Mini a pouch. I do not wanted to have a case, because it makes it to bulky in my opinion, as A Tablet stand I use the Halopad. The Benefit of it is that you can even use it in Bed it will not drop there. Also I have JBL Headset and Bluetoothspeakers for Audio because they are very durable Devices.
Every iPad mini video is making me regret choosing the base iPad 9! I love it but the mini size seems perfect for my use… but I’m happy with the price I paid 😅
iPad owner for 6 years and not a scratch on any screens. All you need is a good case with magnet and no need for screen protector at all unless you get a case that doesn’t have a magnetic flap and leaves screen exposed. As for smudges, still gonna happen.
Nice vid and good recommendations - not sure about the Sony mem cards though, I and many friends have had issues with their reliability (even outside of recalls) and gave up using them, but many great memory card vendors out there.
Hoping to see a folio style keyboard case soon for the iPad mini 6. Had a Brydge keyboard for my iPad mini 4 years back and appreciated the compact size.
I HAVE A QUESTION, if i wanna by this iPad mini (6th) shuld i buy the 64 GB or the 256 GB? The only thing i am doing on the ipad is watching RUclips, Netflix, Discovery+ etc. I am not an artist or something like that, the only thing is that i dont wanna spend to much money 😄 PLZ awnser me!
I just bought an iPad mini and AppleCare+, but I can’t decide whether or not I need a case or screen protector. If it wasn’t nearly $70 with tax, I’d just buy the apple folio case and call it a day, but alas…
So I bought the first Gen iPad, and the thing I miss having included in the unboxing of that model that I’d wish every iPad iteration came with much more than the Apple sticker. It came with a screen sized microfiber cloth, which I still have. I’m not a screen protector guy, because they didn’t exist when they initially came out and I’ve become accustomed to the screen as is, and I’m very careful with the way I handle my tech. I get high return for my trade ins. But that protective cover I will invest in to keep my gear I working order. So why doesn’t Apple make a usb c hub. Oh yeah it’s better to gouge the consumer with each of those dongles, than to make one single one, since it’s their common practice to always give the consumer 85% of sweet spot, but not the full 100% of what would satisfy every person and their wallet.
iPad 9. It has the bigger screen over the mini and you can accessorise it more due to the smart connector (e.g. smart keyboard). It's also quite a bit cheaper than the mini.
I really wanted the smart connnecfor for easy charging. 1. Is there a smart connector stand for the m1 models? Just a stand and not the magic keyboard 2 would a magnetic usb c work well on the iPad mini 6? I have seen a few products but I have never tried them myself, akin to MagSafe, but it leaves the tip attached to the usb c port. My eyesight is just so bad to be fumbling for the usb c port and much prefer this alternative

Agree - i have pro i mainly use for work now i’m trying to justify I “need” which means want the new mimi

I think is the best iPad mini 6 case that I have/use is the ESR Rebound Series Magnetic Case I got from Amazon.
Nedrelow's iPad Mini sleeve needs to be on here. Best thing you can buy for it. Hands down.

Cranking out these videos, nice!
i kinda hope that otterbox makes a defender case for this.
How about bluetooth keyboard what do you recommend?
You should get one of those cases where the cover/flap is connected magnetically so you can remove them. I just got one for 10 bucks for my iPad air.
Best mini keyboard? None of those cheap flimsy ones, too big or that attach. It’s very hard to find a decent one…
I bought this case, it gives a big bulk,so i switched to the smart folio by Apple, it’s neat!
I’d love to hear how your transition from note taking on a notebook to the iPad goes! I’ve tried it but always go back my notebook.
