I love my iPad Mini 6. I originally got mine for editing pics and watching videos when my husband and I go on our long motorcycle trips. But it's ended up being the device that travels with me EVERYDAY just like my phone! I do all my calendar planning digitally, so it's my planner. I use it to journal in Apple Notes and to read books in Apple Books or the Kindle App. I have a Kindle Paperwhite that I've actually only used once, as the mini is just more comfortable. I'm of that age where I have to wear readers to clearly see text, so the mini is a little easier for reading than my iPhone Pro Max. I also use it to watch youtube or occasionally, Netflix. I don't ask it to be my work device, but for me it's the perfect personal digital tool. 🐬
@@Exploring_Backroads2023 I honestly tend to mostly take pics on my iPhone as the size is more conducive for that when traveling. At home, I do occasionally take pics on it if I am listing something for sale or something like that, and I really don't notice much difference between the quality of it and my iPhone Pro Max.
I have an iPad Mini 6. It is my favorite iPad. I have a 12.9 M2 Pro as well.
It is my primary knowledge capture and reading and note taking device. I am never without it. To tell the truth I answer the phone with it more often than I use the iPhone. I can’t wait for a new version of the iPad mini.
Back in the day people used to carry something called a “Commonplace Book.” A commonplace book is a personal compilation of knowledge, ideas, observations, and quotations. It is a notebook or journal where people record and collect information that they find interesting, useful, or inspiring. The concept of a commonplace book dates back several centuries and has been practiced by many notable individuals throughout history, including writers, philosophers, scientists, and thinkers.
The iPad mini is my digital version of a commonplace book.
I keep mine in a leather book cover that also holds my Apple Pencil. It is perfect for writing down notes while sitting in a dimly lit bar sipping on a nice scotch or chianti. It never runs out of paper.
If you get it with WiFi+Cellular, you almost don’t need a phone. Just add a VOIP plan, from Vonage or someone, even SKYPE.
I highly recommend the iPad mini.
I absolutely love my 12.9 inch pro, but I have to say I’ve had a mini since they first came out and I have the current version now that I’ve had since it came out two years ago and honestly by far the mini is my favorite iPad ever.
Still have mine and it’s the ultimate sketch book and fits snuggly into my small bag. Can’t wait to see more iterations of it
I have an iPad Air 4, but it was a bit too big for using on the plane so I bought the Mini which is basically just a smaller version chip and all. Turns out the speaker on the Mini sounded better than the speaker on my Air 4.
iPad mini 6 is all I need paired with my MacBook Air M2…. LETS GO HEAT!!!
I traded up from my IPad 3rd generation air and got the mini6 when it came out.I love it. It is the best iPad ever.
I have a 12.9 M1, MacBook Pro 2019 and a Air 3, my iPad Mini 6 probably gets more screen time than all of them combined. It goes with me whenever I get in my car and most evenings it’s the device I continue using when I get home. It’s the perfect size and weight for most things I do, not much heavier than my 14 Pro
I'm still using the iPad mini 5 and it needs a new battery but it's still fine for reading books, watching videos and reading email. The 6 is definitely nicer with the larger screen and USB-C. I have a small medical kit with a slot that will hold a paperback book or small tablet an the iPad mini is perfect. The thing is that upgrading to the 6 is a tough sell because the 5 is so good. I also bring the iPad mini 5 when running on the treadmill. The treadmill has a screen and tray that are a certain size and the iPad mini fits the width of the screen at my treadmill. The metrics are at the top of the treadmill display so I can see the numbers while watching the video. I mostly do audio podcasts but watch a video sometimes.
Truly, apple should also focus on their ipad mini.. it's super promising
Commenting from an iPad mini! The perfect iOS device. 🐬
If you put multiple fingerprints using touch ID and you decide to remove even one of them, you will have to redo touch ID for other things, for example, password managers. 13:36
Thanks for doing this video. The mini is as a few have already said the ideal iPad whereas the larger pro models are trying too hard to be laptops. I’m a fan of the mini but for it to be truly useful I feel it needs greater battery life, a brighter screen and better memory options. As a final addition I think it would also benefit from mag safe support. 🐬
I got the iPad Mini 6 WiFi+5G new. It fits in fie as my inbetween. I'd like to see more Pro features sets implemented in to a compact design. I't not meant to be my iPhone or MacBook Pro replacement. It compliments them as a team. M
I have a 14pro and 12.9 iPad Pro but I find I’m using my iPad mini 90% of the time I’m home. If they make an iPad mini sized fold phone I’d be innnnn
Thinking about picking one up while in Japan, here’s hoping the price is better than the states
I’m contemplating on downgrading from my M1 iPad Pro to this iPad Mini
I had the 2nd version of the IPad. I really loved it. It was light and a great form factor. Then when the iPad Pro came out, I was elated. I got the 12.9 inch and while I loved the screen real estate, it was very tiring to hold. I have had it since then. I have been really interested in getting a new MacBook Air now that they finally are fast with the M series chips. So i have ordered the Mini, will sell my Pro and will buy an M3 Air soon. The Pro, while great, I have found to be not the greatest size iPad and not a laptop. It is over powered for what it does and doesn’t make sense for me to update to the latest ones.
I love this little iPad, I only bought it cause I'm a student Pilot and need the iPad the fits the cockpit. Other than that only thing i hate about it is not having a 120hz display coming from a person who owned a ipad pro 11in.
To the regular user like me, the iPad Mini 6 is the perfect device! I have one personally and I can't go back to the larger iPads anymore...
Hi, for the ipad mini 6, one use case I'm heavily considering is taking notes.
How do you like taking notes on the ipad mini 6?
O yeah guys, dis ist da best pad. I jast walk round in my kitchen wit it and wave at mine neighbour aand order mine holidays on it and draw doodles. Wowee!
The iPad mini 6 is the last iPad that actually feels like an iPad and not a slightly worse laptop replacement
I own 256gb version. I just hope a bigger memory on newer model
I lumafusion on it I hope there is a m1 update I definitely take it to the gym
I love mine but got the 64 i wish i would of gotten the next size. Just because
Switched that flip
can you let me know which screen protect I should use if I want to use the pencil ? thanks
🐬 I don't really like the ipad mini 6 all that much because i went from a ipad mini 2 to the ipad pro 11 inch 2018 model and i can't go back .All and All the pro model is my go to now .😊👍🏽
I. subscribed because of the D.WADE sweat-shirt that you're wearing.
I want an iPad MINI PRO, with M1 chip | Pro Motion | Dual Lenses | and option for 1TB | Blue…
🤔
Would you / anyone recommend this in October 2023? I’m looking for something to mainly read in, but also could sometimes check emails / consume media. I feel like even if the Air 5 is a good device it’s rather big to carry around everywhere :/
whatsapp calling will work on ipad mini?? and what about face time?
It is very indeed the best iPad ever because I have one ❤
would editing videos on capcut be better on the mini?
🐬 nicely done Fernando
I wish they put 128gb as basic storage 😢
They are volume buttons not rockers.
using may ipad mini 6!!!! wont replace this to ipad pro hahah
May I ask about the MagSafe charger at the back?
Sure! Its the 3 in 1 magsafe charger by Momax. I love it

Thanks for the video. I have problems with fingerprint readers and really want Face ID. The base memory is also an issue. Come on apple memory is cheep don’t be a Scrooge.
At 8:57 there is a cute Shiba Inu
wanted it but it has jelly scroll and screen spots so i pass

“ONCE I SWITCHED THAT FLIP” Jesus Christ 9to5Mac is really poaching Mensa scholars lmfao 🤡🤡🤡
iPad mini was released in 2012…and it took 11 years with the same dimensions for people to praise its size and form factor SMH
at first i thought you said it took 11 years to pay it off because apple is to darn expensive.

This dude shaves his arms for sure

$820 for a two year old device in my country. Who is it for? Nobody.
🎉Dolphin symbol. Finished.
A $500 plus leisure device..are u kidding..buy a cheap $100 tab then..
why the camera move around and allow the neck to cover the screen when i want to see how the handwriting works? i really hate this en-sheet-tefication of youtube video editing. if i want to watch mr beast editing, i watch mr beast videos. seems like i have to write this on most of youtube videos now, just to show how bad the editing is these days.
Bruh that wrinkly ass shirt he has on
i need ipad mini.. but can afford it.. please gift to me.
please
Amateur video.
Not necessarily a bad thing, but does not inspire confidence. Dirty iPad, non color matched screens, etc.
🐬 awesome content! 🩷
Exceptionally well titled video. This is the form factor for a TABLET. All these 12.9 and 14.6 inch tablets just aren’t practical for a handheld device. 🐬
Totally correct... this is the main reason for this size iPad.
yeah i use my 12.9 for school to use a laptop. it works fine then, and when watching things i set it up. definitely not good for handheld
I would expect a tablet to be from 8-11". I think that the Air and Mini are great options, because they are fast and portable. However, the mini does seem more reasonable for being an iPad. The Apple Pencil and folio case look great, but you can extend the capability by purchasing a 3rd party keyboard case for like 40 bucks; Apple doesn't sell a keyboard directly for this. A lot of people say that turning your iPad into a computer with a keyboard isn't meaningful, but a lot of folks want to max out the use-case for a device they already have.

I moved up front an iPad Mini 5 to the Mini 6 when it released two years ago. I use it for content consumption and controlling my Echo devices, and I'm totally pleased with it. I have a Mac laptop and desktop for more intensive tasks.
Mini 6 is amazing I loved
Trying to decide whether to move up to Mini 6 from Mini 5. What features make it worthwhile?
@@iraf.3567 I really like the new design, the A15 chip makes a noticeable difference in performance, the screen is gorgeous, and the speakers are much better (at least, to my ears).
@@iraf.3567 I had the 5 and got the 6. Hard to describe but once you lay your eyes on the screen of the 6 nothing else matters. Get it. You won’t regret it.
I bought one just a few days ago. I had the first-gen iPad mini years ago now, so I'm interested to see how much it has improved. It's arriving tomorrow!
How is it?
I want one but at this point in time it can’t be too far away from the next generation so I may as well wait.Hopefully, the jelly scroll issue will be fixed too.
You mentioned at home cases but the iPad mini makes for an amazing work tablet. I worked at one place as Computer Service Desk tech and carried my mini everyday and everywhere. I could update my tickets on the go, update inventory using excel, look up troubleshooting guides online, and remote back into my main winbox when needed. Pair that with an network dongle to test a LAN, and you had very light weight mobile assistant.
I just bought one 2 weeks ago and I love it. It replaced my iPad Pro 11 inch
Same lol, 11” just too big lol
Those 60hrz iPads needs a 90hrz and it basically will be a killer
I do love my iPad mini 6 cellular 256 GB. It’s great for outside use cases. 😊. the only thing I would „die for“ is the telephone app on that device. 🎉😂
Both of us here use them, so light and handy. They come out far enough apart that we get every one and pass the old ones down in the extended family. Great for reading too.
I picked up an iPad mini 6 with cellular from a liquidation store for $380 USD. I must say, I've been rather impressed with it. Having a 2018 iPad pro 12.9 inch, I find I reach for the mini 6 way more than I do the larger one. Oh & 🐬
I bought the iPad Mini 6 at the beginning of 2023. Since its release, but at the time I had the 2021 iPad Pro. What attracted me to the mini was the size, the fact that the device offers a full desktop web browser and the portability. I bought the LTE version, which this device was meant to have mobile connectivity. I use my mini as a GPS guide, content consumption, and some light gaming either through Arcade or Nvidia.
which do you prefer?
@@hyrise76 iPadOS
I bought my Mini 6 in February and it replaced my iPad Pro 11“, I am really happy with it. The form factor is so underrated, it’s so enjoyable to use your tablet with one hand, people should really try out a Mini before buying a standard iPad 😊
Missing promotion
God, please wipe it down before doing b-roll showing it in the sun light.
Oh no finger prints, what will we ever do?!?!?!
I have a 12.9 M1 iPad and an iPhone 14 pro max. I bought a mini 6 as a ‘tweener’ device, but returned it after a few days. Just couldn’t deal with the screen being worse than my phone and iPad. Also felt iPadOS wasn’t well optimised for the mini.
I recently bought an ipad mini 6 myself just for the reason to watch content on a bigger screen in bed and use free form on it and homekit..
I have a bad feeling that there might not be an iPad mini 7. What if Apple brings out a folding iPhone? Why is everyone suddenly re-reviewing the iPad Mini?
Gods, I hope not. iPad mini 7 is what we want.
🐬 Great review! I can’t believe it’s been a whole two years for this device already. I always think I want an iPad Mini and this one with the Pencil 2 support is extra tempting. But I think I want to hold off for at least 90hz display refresh now that I have been spoiled by that for years with iPad Pros. I think I would just use this as my journaling device and casual gaming/browsing. Do you think that would be a suitable workload?
My iPad Pro m1 12.9 is barely getting any use since I’ve got this. I think it’s time to sell the pro.
Using my iPad mini 6 only had it a few months the battery only lasts a few hrs wtf I thought it was supposed to last like 6 hrs or so I only browse web listen to music and watch RUclips
🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬
I've had iPads since the very first one, to the very first 12.9" iPad Pro, even the more recent 12.9" iPad Pro M1, and several others along the way. I finally decided I didn't need something so big and powerful, and now just have the iPad Mini 6. It's a great little leisure device like you said. Perfect for catching up on my news, watching TV, and a host of other things.
My biggest complaint about the Mini 6 is that it seems like the design of the iPadOS caters more toward the larger iPads. The home screen icons and the layout don't fill up the screen as they should and the font sizes (even if you tweak them) in some apps look ridiculously tiny which makes it hard to read without reading glasses. I wish that Apple spent more time on making the OS look better on this smaller screen size. In many ways, I wish that they put iOS on it. I don't have any of these issues on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Everything looks correctly sized and fonts are easier to read than my larger iPad Mini 6. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this problem in reviews and videos and it's the first thing I noticed having larger iPads for years. On my iPhone they have a setting (Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom) -- Apple *really* needs to add this to the iPad Mini (I think it's available on larger iPads). This would help.
Oh, and if you do want to get an Apple Pencil for it, consider getting the cheaper $28 knock-offs on Amazon. I got a black one (they come in other colors too) and they work great... and don't stick out so much like the white Apple one stuck to the side of it!
Sold my mini for this reason the Home Screen setup was tiny not scaled well at all, also coming from an iPad Pro the lack of promotion made it weird on my eyes after long periods of use. I liked the form factor but it needs some upgrades IMO
@@garycroftsmicroscopy Glad it’s not just me. The scaling is so “off” it really bugs me. Hopefully they fix it. I sent feedback to Apple.
It’s so bad that I don’t even use it anymore. I’ve got a same-size Samsung tablet that doesn’t bat this issue. I use it more often now.
FURST 🐱
Is it worth upgrade from iPad Pro 2018 128g to this iPad mini6?
Heat fan here that just got a mini 6 and watched game 6 on it too.. hoping for a game 7 win Monday
Hands down my favorite iPad. The size and for factor are perfect!
Add a popsocket and it'll be even better!
I WISH FINAL CUT WORKED ON THIS - I WOULD USE IT ON THERE
They need to eliminate those absurdly thick bezels. They’re way too thick given the tiny display.
Great review! I bought the iPad Mini 6 recently. My only regret is I bought the 64 GB storage option and passed on the 256 GB option. Great tablet overall despite that. 🐬
Price-point its the biggest issue for the iPad mini 6, but yes, if you're a macbook user and you want a complement, ipad mini its the right choice, perfect for content, gaming and notes
Fernando, What HUB do you use to connect your iPad to your external monitor?
Traded mine for a iPad Pro 2020
shouldve got this instead of the 10th gen :(
I upgraded from a iPad 5th gen and I love this iPad mini 6 I got it in October and i love it
I have the basic iPad 9th Gen. $249 is just too hard to beat! 😂👍 I am thinking the Mini 6 as well, when the price drops.
your hands look snall
Is it still worth buying?
As someone who bought one a month ago, ABSOLUTELY
Are my eyes deceiving me or is there a large piece of wood in the dog’s bed? Seems like it’s obstructing a good portion of his rest area😂. Love my mini 6. I have no tv, laptop, or desktop, and use the mini 6 for reading, writing (I use a Logitech keyboard), watching entertainment, and all other necessary day to day tasks. Sometimes I dream about a bigger screen, but quickly recall how heavy they are to lug around. I’m a minimalist, so having 2 iPads is not an option.
why why want put a better camera ? I guess they waiting for 2035 ?
Just got mine in the mail today. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.
