A case. Having the sleep/wake ability is crucial and protects the screen when not in use. I like the ProCase ones on Amazon that come with a variety of colours.
You can snap the nufolio case back onto itself in stand mode so it holds its a-frame even on hard surfaces. I think it's meant to be used that way actually! just take that little strip of leather or whatever it is and fold it back under and snap the button back. Love mine as well!
My favorite and only iPad Mini accessory is the case that Apple has for it. I don't use a keyboard or anything else with it, as for me it's just a straight up youtube/reddit/kindle/web/whatever device.
Agreed, iPad mini is a legend ! I actually got rid of my bigger iPad Pro and stuck with the mini because it just fits all purpose, I even use it as second monitor for my MacBook Pro at work. The Paperlike was a bit of a letdown tbh, yes, it does make it feel like paper but it also adds grainess (if thats a word?) to the screen, basically it makes it feel a bit more pixelated. I guess it's because of the minis high pixel density on a smaller size screen that makes it more obvious. Even after daily cleaning, I took it off after a couple of weeks, especially annoying when reading. That Harber sleeve looks awesome! Thanks for the video, casual and informative as always.
Also absolutely love the iPad Mini, I also take it everywhere I go - and like you I would love to have a magic keyboard for it… Only thing you may have missed - when using with a keyboard is a mouse… Personally I use a Logitech MX Anywhere 3 and my preferred keyboards are the Apple Magic Keyboard (very light and excellent typing experience, but lacks backlighting and is cumbersome to switch to another device) and the Logitech MX Mini (a bit heavy and slightly bulky, but very nice to type on and has great backlighting, great autonomy and charges via usb-c so you can use the ipad Mini charger to give it a quick boost. For a stand, I either just use the Apple case, a more protective otterbox or a simple but well built satechi ipad stand. For longer stretches out of the house, I also take a Mophie usb-c battery and a 3m Mophie charging cable (a bit bulky - but gives more freedom (and is also used for my MacBook Air). The pencil is an obvious necessity. Mostly when out and about and when I don’t have to take a backpack, I use a few sling bags that fit the Mini. The new AER Day Sling 3 is a perfect fit and the newly released Pakt Anywhere 5l Sling not only holds the iPad but also the Apple Magic keyboard (version without the number-pad obviously), as well as most other accessories so it makes for a perfect solution of a small unobtrusive bag to taker on a walk, bike ride, etc… For a future version of the Mini I would hope for built in MagSafe (same standard as the iPhone) and a smart connector / magic keyboard. The Pitaka system is nice and looks very interesting but I find it too expensive as a system in support of a single device (how wonderful that device is)…
TODAY I ORDERED MY NEW I pad mini thank you for all your advice and tips. Now I have to order my paper light screen protector.. Thanks again I enjoy your channel.
Subbed. I ordered that iPad mini magnetic charging case. You solved a problem I’d wanted to deal with but didn’t think there was a solution. I can see your RUclips getting pretty big due to the excellent presentation and your down to earth nature, keep it up! Also will look forward to more tech gadget ideas that aren’t the usual stuff every tech RUclipsr regurgitates.
I’ve been convinced recently to take the plunge and get an iPad mini 6 (even with 7 around the corner) and I’m on the hunt for a really good leather case for it. Im a big fan of the kindle oasis Amazon premium leather case and hope to find something similar or better!
My favourite pastime - watching videos about best accessories for iPad Mini 6 on my iPad Mini 6 and realising that I can get neither of these gorgeous things
Hello.... amazing finds!!! Was looking for accessories such as these for work. Just made my orders! I even personalized my pouch! Thanks so much for these finds and the reviews!!! Excited to receive my little packages that will come with a powerful play!
I just updated all of my devices and computer after eight years, I bought the high end iMac 24 inch and had it specced to the max, two iPhones, the SE and the mini, and an iPad air, I may switch from the air to the mini next time, if I'm not tempted to just buy one now. (seriously, I cant have two iPads but I'd like to)
Currently using the 5th Gen Mini, and waiting for the 7th before I upgrade. Looking forward to losing the Touch ID (which I never liked), and gaining USB-C, plus whatever else Apple decides to 'give' us. It'll probably be overly expensive for its form factor but - having just upgraded to an iPhone 13 Mini - it's the size that meets my needs. Anything bigger might end up unused in a drawer. Thanks for the content.
I have an iPad 9th gen, i bought it because i need a proper keyboard to work, but this iPad mini’s setup is really amazing. I’m seriously thinking in sell mi iPad and get the mini. Great video.
i just wanna ask a question. if u(me, us) gonna use a usb-c cable and a charging brick as well, why not connect them directly to the mini for charging? why do we need the wireless charging pad and the case?? i do not see any value...
Got mine with Cellular on a 2 year contract with unlimited data plan for £48 per month. I'd say the best value of the entire iPad range is the top spec Mini 6
Thanks for the video, it’s always nice to see what iPad accessories others are using. I bought a new M1 iPad Pro (11 inch) at the end of last year and my two favourite accessories are the tomtoc tablet sleeve bag (can’t seem to post the link here) and the Logitech K380 keyboard. Both are very good value indeed and more than adequate to do the job.
I was about to splurge on the Pitaka set as I have the case for iPhone 12 and like the company, but saw on another video that it uses the USB C socket and doesn't provide a passthrough. Unfortunate really as I still want to use the port for Sidecar and maybe some ad hoc situations that would require the case to be taken off every time :/
I am not a big fan of paperlike. I love the look of it, I love the matt finish while watching media. I just really, really dislike the feel of it when using your finger. It is the same cringy feel I get when using the kindle.
No, Mark. No more. That last accessories vid for the MacBook Pro had me spending on stuff from Harber London. You must stop this! My wallet is suffering!
@@MarkEllisReviews like you Mark, I fell in love with the products. I only bought 4 pieces so far: 1). Tech Dopp Kit 2). Dopp Kit 3). Slim Leather Folio Laptop Case No. 7 (*2). One for my 16"MacBook Pro and the other for my Daughter. And I am aiming to get her a backpack for 6th Form back to school end of August. Hahahahaha! This is all your fault Mark.
Interesting, as always. May I may a suggestion? You always give prices in Pounds and Dollars, but the Euro is missing. I’m sure you have more than a few sunscribers in Europe apart from me? I always have do a bit of mental arithmetic, just to figure out the relative costs. 🥴
Of course you can make a suggestion! The currency thing is so tricky. If I went for Euros, I'd have to include several other currencies, too, and that would take much longer to produce the content and it would be a bit messy as a result ;) USD/GBP cater for the majority of my audience which, unfortunately, you have to swing for occasionally ;)
Is this even "wireless" I mean if the contacts are perfectly connected and not shrouded in anyway, then it's basically a wired charging connection, right?
Actually ordered the Nuphy Air 60 on the 11th with 20% off -- looks like that offer must have just expired. I've had the Air 75 for about eight months. I bought it to toss in the backpack for office days, but turned out I liked it so much it became my main keyboard, so now I decided to get the Air 60 to actually keep in the backpack and leave the Air 75 at home.
Do you honestly love the folio? It doesn’t look that great- and it’s expensive. I don’t think it’s good value. Are you just promoting this product for money?
I’m not ‘promoting’ it, I’m offering my opinion on it, which is favourable. And yes, if you buy one, I receive an affiliate payment. It’s what keeps the lights on, ensures this content remains free, and enables me to grow this business.
What's the ONE iPad accessory you couldn't live without?
A case. Having the sleep/wake ability is crucial and protects the screen when not in use. I like the ProCase ones on Amazon that come with a variety of colours.
Definitely a case
with the mini, the pencil i the go to accessory
Late to the game here but that would definitely be the charger
I don’t really use accessories with my current iPad 5th gen, but I really one of my only ones, my mfi controller, it’s pretty good for gaming

@@MarkEllisReviews currently binging your old vids for anything I can get to improve my tech setup, currently got as far as December last year. Aha
@@Murdocke89 Nice! Love to hear this!
The nuphy case: you can snap the button on it again when using it as a stand and it won’t slip.
I thought I'd tried that, but sounds like I need to have another look - thanks!
hey Mark, you can clip your Nuphy folio (once opened, clip it to the back), and it shouldn't slip anymore. take care
yes!
This Pitaka stuff looks great, but with the stand and case and a few other mounts the price is more than the iPad!
I’ve been convinced recently to take the plunge and get an iPad mini 6 (even with 7 around the corner) and I’m on the hunt for a really good leather case for it.

I love my ipad mini 6 with apple pencil… its for note taking, reading, journaling and planning😊
Me too! I love it so much because it’s ultra portable. I now need an ultra portable keyboard ⌨️
Always a pleasure. Thanks
Thank you too!
I love your accessory finds!! That pito stand is genius! definitely considering getting it.
That keyboard looks so cool!
Very helpful video thanks for posting. Just upgraded my stuff so will investigate these products.
My favourite pastime - watching videos about best accessories for iPad Mini 6 on my iPad Mini 6 and realising that I can get neither of these gorgeous things
I thought I needed an iPad mini, yet here it sits on my desk. At least it weighs less than my 12” for traveling.

Put the flap underneath with a strip of thin rubber to prevent the slippage or you could do the snap
yeah, i think its meant to be snapped back together to hold the a-frame

The mini is definitely the best iPad let’s hope we get a pro model or ultra sometime
Well if you're sitting next to me banging on a keyboard like that next to me... then I'll ask for a coffee.
And I'd have to buy you one!
You can also use the Brydges keyboard case for the older iPad mini for the 6. Just slightly bigger than the iPad
dope video! def considering all of these!
Do you think the leather one is more water resistant then the soft one?
Massive fan of mine too mate, same colour as yours too.
Snap!
Appreciate you! Copped the Nuphy with your code.
Nice!

I like that backpack of yours. Could you tell me what brand and model that is, please. Thanks a lot
Love the idea of the NuPhy. How does it and the folio fair on your lap? Does it require a table?
Is that the starlight color? It looks silver
Did you select the iPad mini 6 with Wi-Fi and Cellular or just Wi-Fi? I'm trying to decide which option to get for travelling
Got mine with Cellular on a 2 year contract with unlimited data plan for £48 per month. I'd say the best value of the entire iPad range is the top spec Mini 6
What is the speed of the wireless charger (watts)

Get a folding Bluetooth keyboard for maximum portability- all fits in a small bag
Looking at the case folio stand, the way you had it doesn’t the closure strap connect back under the keyboard part to add stability?
Thank you for this review and I do not know how many people just like me, I bought an iPad mini just because I want those acceceries....😂😂

Fair enough!
fold the strap under the folio and it wont move as much , even on a slippy table.

Thanks a lot. You just cost me $200 on the Pitaka case & stand. 🤣
I’m watching on my mini which is in an otter box.
Not sure why you would want a keyboard etc for a mini. Why not just upgrade to a bigger iPad and use a keyboard case?
Thank you for sharing, iPad mini user here. Love it!

There’s no wire between the device being charged and what’s charging it 😉
