I had a 10th gen iPad ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA . Felt it getting pretty slow at times even after doing a reset. So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.
Two of my fave tech RUclipsrs. I also have a Waterfield bag- it’s about 10 years old and has had a lot of use, but still looks brand new. Incredible quality.
@@PatrickRambles I have the AirPorter in black leather/ballistic. Great for short international trips. For anything longer I’m all about Stubble & Co’s bags for tech gear.
Wow, two of my absolute favorite YT guys!! This is great stuff. I'm addicted to my big 12.9" iPad Pro, but it's cool to see the Mini get it's turn to shine. If Apple ever decided to put a miniLED screen on the Mini, I bet it'd be the top selling tablet of all time.
Mark is a riot! Traveling with just his iPad mini…..aaaand about 70 lbs worth of peripherals 😂😂. I hardcore want to Daniel Titchenerize his tech travel inventory.
I also have an iPad Mini. It is my favorite iPad. I have a 12.9 M2 Pro as well. It is my primary knowledge capture and reading and note taking device. I am never without it. To tell the truth I answer the phone with it more often than I use the iPhone. I can’t wait for a new version of the iPad mini. Back in the day people used to carry something called a “Commonplace Book.” A commonplace book is a personal compilation of knowledge, ideas, observations, and quotations. It is a notebook or journal where people record and collect information that they find interesting, useful, or inspiring. The concept of a commonplace book dates back several centuries and has been practiced by many notable individuals throughout history, including writers, philosophers, scientists, and thinkers. The iPad mini is my digital version of a commonplace book. I keep mine in a leather book cover that also holds my Apple Pencil. It is perfect for writing down notes while sitting in a dimly lit bar sipping on a nice scotch or chianti. It never runs out of paper. If you get it with WiFi+Cellular, you almost don’t need a phone. Just add a VOIP plan, from Vonage or someone, even SKYPE. I highly recommend the iPad mini. The idea of carrying that much stuff with the iPad mini seems counter to the idea of the device. IMHO.

You can see why each of you have had so much success on RUclips. I am an amateur tech nerd, although I do make use of the tech I have everyday at work. The challenge for you guys is how many more videos can you make about charges, screen protectors, headphones and covers, etc., as the industry has not given us anything particularly different in a long time. I have gone off into e-ink devices, which causes a lot of eye rolling around me. Will VR devices really be a thing anytime soon? I doubt it. So, what might be coming down the road that is really new? What can we imagine? Happy travels.
Two of my favs, talking about my favorite iPad. Such a great surprise on a Sunday Morning 😊I use my iPad Mini everyday! It has replaced paper for me. And let's not forget about that MX Master 3 😍another one of my favorites. Great job guys!
Great fun video you two. I truly enjoyed seeing your interactions, and seeing what you two have in your travel bags. I have streamlined my cables down. I cannot stand carrying a lot of cables.
I ordered the ESR charging stand. I’m glad to finally have some order to the chaos that is my charging area on the counter. Great video. I enjoyed the collab.
Thanks! Yeah the ESR is not my favorite in terms of looks but it's the only one that holds an actual fast charger for the Apple watch and it does a great job charging the rest too.
Just got a new Mini a few days ago. Thanks to both of you and you reviews on the mini. Been using the 11” for a couple of years now. Also finally bought a 12.9 cause i got a Apple gift card from work. Going to try out the mini for now too. Haven’t used a mini in quite some time. Been enjoying it so far.
Garage Band for iPad only records 8 compases unless you set a larger song length or set it to automatic (using the + sign at the top right). That might be the reason why the iPad mini did not record your conversation. Nice video.
Tip: Still waiting for the AW Ultra fast charger without a cable. The Satechi usb c apple watch charger (no cord), charges both the Airpods and Ultra, and with acceptable speed, but only when connected to ipad mini. Connected to other chargers or battery banks, ultra charging has been dog slow for me. But this makes the Satechi the a good non-cable charger to bring with ipad mini cellular that I take everywhere.
It s funny how patrick is waiting patiently his turn to roast him 😂 and that yellow skin is to die for ! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 great collaboration but patrick’s stuff are way interesting !
Its really funny that you guys use so many accessories for such a small portable device, but I love it at the same time, because really it's all about what works for the individual isn't it? No reason to go for a bigger ipad if you like the mini better. I have the ipad air 4, after deciding on it thanks to reviews here and elsewhere, and I still really love it 18 months later.... but I think I would opt for the mini next time, just for portability reasons. That being said, my ipad air has managed to replace my laptop almost completely... I only use a cheap bluetooth keyboard (that magnetically attaches to the outside of my apple folio case when not in use) and the gen 2 pencil, and that's all I carry with me. It all fits in a sleek 12 inch laptop pouch with space for the charger 😊 I do want to play with more accessories (and better quality things) in the future but it really would just be for fun and not because I need it.
That last sentence sums up our use case. I don't need 75% of what's in that bag but I like playing around with tech. Mark and I are fortunate enough to have a reason to buy more than one iPad (our channels). If I had to choose only one and I didn't have a laptop, an iPad Pro would still be it. The iPad mini is my favorite tablet though because it doesn't try to be something else. It's just a fun, light, little iPad. :)

I also agree that if you have an iPad mini, it makes sense to write notes with the pen instead of typing lol just seems way more natural.
