I've been doing research on overnight kayak and canoe trips in thailand and your videos are the best I have found. I'd really love to talk about doing a trip like this!'

How in the world did that man find your drone? Seems like “a needle in a hay stack”, did the dogs sniff it out? (Love your videos btw, thank you for the thorough information on your kayak reviews / opinions.

Most appreciated. Yeahh, I had zero expectations at that point, the drone was gone. Pure luck he stumbled upon it. Unfortunately it did end up crashing later for good. Your kind words made me realize I am well overdue with new info for the channel. :-)

Great video, something I would like to try myself. I live in Hua Hin and kayak around the dams and rivers. Which model is the kayak? Is it the adventura V2?

It is the Feel Free Aventura 125. My friend brought them up from Bangkok. Very stable kayak, but I think for longer trips like this one, I would have preferred the Atlantis 14. A tiny bit too tight with space for gear. But it was tracking very well. I want to do some island "hopping" one day down south, but after this trip it will not be highest on my list. The last bit on the Bhumibol Lake was pretty boring. Way too open and you just kept paddling forever without feeling as if you were moving. Small rivers are much more fun.

@@BackonTrailasia ok thanks, I will check it out. For the rivers and reservoirs I am using my feel free moken lite but it’s very slow, I have an epic V7 surf ski that I use in the sea, but I don’t use it so much so am currently looking at trading it in for a a decent tourer that I can use both in the rivers and sea. Which would you recommend? Yes the reservoirs are quite boring, i much prefer kayaking the rivers, such as pranburi river and sam roi rot. I’ve just been watching your other videos, great stuff, exactly what I have been looking for. If your ever down this way give me a shout, I would love to join you.

@@jayleslie5514 Certainly, not often to say the least I am doen south, but will give you a shout when it happens. As for kayaks, then I have not tried that many, but the Jackson karma RG has become a favourite for smaller rivers like the ones we have up here. But it is even more limited in space than the Aventura, so it really is a matter of where it is used. I think I would have hated the RG on this trip.

I flew it only with controller. No phone, so I had NO idea where it went, and if it actually went in the water. :-)
