  • 2 weeks, that is how long it took from the idea was born, until we were on the water in Ranong. FeelFree were so kind to lend us three FeelFree kayaks, Aventura 140 for the trip, and we planned to do a circle around the islands of Koh Payam and Koh Chang. Entering a few km south of Ranong city and ending up in the city on our way back. Not all went as planned, but it was a fantastic trip. Loved the boats.

I am really sorry for both the picture and in particular the sound quality in these videos. The first day my Gopro Hero 7 died on me. Did not handle a swim in the sea. But I was fortunate enough to borrow Gopro Hero 8 from Hassan, to continue filming, but failed to realise that wind reduction was not turned on. I am still trying to find an audio solution for kayaking, that is doable if wet. Gopro sounds muffled in rain or if submersed. #feelfreekayaks #kayakcamping #kayaking #seakayaking #thailandcamping #thailandkayaking #ranongkayaking #kayaktouring #kayakadventure
Khun Not, the dealer in Ranong helped us out on our trip. Kayaks and fishing gear is his speciality. I can highly recommend Nichadashop.

Ranong, the wettest province in Thailand! I loved our trip to Koh Phayam a few years ago. Stunning island. Please don't tell anyone about it!

Looked like such a great trip..except for the rain but I guess it’s normal over there. Shops right by the coast for you to get some grub is awesome.

It was indeed a fantastic trip, and rain was really just added spice to the trip. It is not cold. Options for grub was a tiny bit too much for my likings. I prefer off grid, open fire, primitive cooking. That said, it was good food we got for most part. :-)

Next time. We will do this again for sure. We will arrange for a small likeminded group and then it is time for adventure. Your help and local knowledge is a huge help. Looking forward to it. But first I got to learn to roll like you. :-)
