  • I have yet to try my new kayak, the FeelFree Sea Emotion 505 for overnight trips, and as always I find a lot of joy in the preparations. One thing I always do, is to check if my planned gear does fit in the kayak as I intend it to, and why not bring you along? :-) You might find inspiration for your own trip.

Once I've packed my Kayak I place a floatation bladder inside the hatch then pump it up, it holds everything in place and helps prevent breakages and it also makes the kayak more stable, as the weight distribution is always the same with no slippage or noise from loose gear rolling around, it will also stop you losing any gear if you flip and lose a hatch, it also makes your yak unsinkable. Hope that helps with your setup, Good luck , look forward to your fishing trip ATB from Scotland.

Very good idea. Never thought of that. But, it require that I reduce the gear I bring, it is filled up. :-) That said, on smaller trips that would work perfect, when I do not need so much gear. Any recommendations for bladders? I need 3.

@@BackonTrailasia Yeah , I use the NRS or LOMO bladders, but any bladder will do to be honest and even if your well is full of gear, it's still doable and advisable. the bladder only has to lock everything into place, it doesn't need to be fully inflated, just enough to jam everything in place. Hope that helps.

That’s such a great idea with the flotation bladder inside the hatch! I’m going to take that tip for my trips!

I see lots of ads for the Coleman rice cooker but NONE show how to use it. Especially how to use it while camping.
How about a video, in your back yard or in the wild, showing us how to use that, start to finish, so I will decide if it is worth buying,

Good idea. I was also puzzled about the add, and it is the perfect multi use pot, so why advertise it for such a narrow segment as rice cooking makes no sense to me.
