Update: We recently found out that the only reason why Sora wasn't added to Smash earlier is because the creator of the Kingdom Hearts franchise wasn't sure about adding him due to wondering how it would fit inside of the game's canon. The creator even said that Disney encouraged him to go for it.

The character interactions were also minimal.
