If you listen to her life stories, yeah.. She wasnt very popular as a kid. And as an adult she seems to mostly stick to herself (besides Coco), not because she anti-social like Aqua, but likely because shes really independent, a bit quirky in an odd way, and doesnt have the time to make bonds. Also IIRC she said she doesnt have any or many friends outside of her colleagues.
Kanata really seems to like playing out the lonely person trope. She had that call-in stream where she intentionally did not want the other members to call in despite playing up how much she was looking forward to a call. Now she has this one where she’s being the cameraman for a 3 person collab. I wouldn’t be surprised if she arranged with them beforehand to have them ignore her for the bit.
I wonder just how much the Hololive cast plan things in advance and how much is natural acting. There's obviously a /lot/ going on behind the scenes. I think it's pretty clear that virtually all of the Hololive cast /DON'T/ know their own lore inherently, and instead either do research or are given pointers on their lore over time. They also do a fair bit of chatting with their fellow cast members off-screen. And then there's discussions with their managers which almost certainly consist of /something/. What, you think their managers have zero critique or suggestions for them? Doubtful. None of that to mention the likely stark difference in character between the Hololive member's real personality and their character's personality. Some are probably fairly similar... but I suspect a lot of the cast are a ton different in reality than they act on screen. I wonder if anyone in Hololive is an absolute asshole to work with in real life... Hopefully not, but from my experience as an actor in Hollywood, that was true more often than not. Many were quite nice... and most were very trashy. And their character roles had absolutely no correlation. Many actors who play villains or complete assholes are incredibly sweet and nice in person. And many sweet and nice characters are toxic garbage in reality. Not sure how that applies to the Hololive business culture, but I think it very silly to imagine Hololive was able to cast people as themselves and still cast entertaining and lively people with unique and recognizable personas who happen to also be highly skilled at streaming and entertaining.
@@Mathignihilcehk "I think it very silly to imagine Hololive was able to cast people as themselves and still cast entertaining and lively people with unique and recognizable personas who happen to also be highly skilled at streaming and entertaining." That's like the whole point of doing auditions, though. They almost exclusively hire people with experience in this field. Those people doesn't "happen to also be" skilled and entertaining, those qualities are what cover is searching when they're auditioning. Also, using your "experience as an actor" doesn't mean much when this and that are two very different things. Acting for a movie is a one and done job, unless there are sequels. You're not expected to keep up the persona for a very long time. Compare that to these girls, some of whom have been streaming for years. Their personality are pretty much their irl personality, albeit exaggerated on some for entertainment purpose. It's not like we're short on stories about how x girl still acts horny irl, or how y girl is as shy as she seems to be in streams. We can even see some of their character development, like how pekora really got more confident in interacting with other girls after she befriended moona. It would almost be impossible for anyone to hold a personality that is very different from their irl when they stream for hours a day, 24/7.
The left out from classes actually happend to me once when i go to the toilet in high school since theres a gap 5 minutes before the next teacher coming in. When i came back , theres no one lmao. So i just stay in class alone sleeping for an hour instead.
Lol that happened to me once when I transferred to new schools. Ina silently creeping in the background 🤣

Who is ninja now
Probably Ina
Kanatan: "I'm not lonely! I came here all by myself, after all!"

Sad gorilla noises would be more accurate

The true Ninja.
Ina gets +1/1 then. 🧐

but a-chan ?
We hear a background character's story and spot a background character with an untold story near the end.
0:03 RIGHT HERE! Kanatan proves that Ninja's say "de gozaru". Iroha was outed even before her debut as a ninja
