Thanks for doing a 40+ minutes video on Pekora FF stream. One funny thing that deserves a mentions ; at the Chocobo section, she mentions that she looked up for Final Fantasy games because she liked Chocobo designs and always wanted to ride one. Also, Pekora on her karaoke stream did one amazing cover of "Suteki da Ne" , the ending song, I highly recommend checking it out. She really loved the game.
Her first FF, this is a pretty good FF to start with. I think she would enjoy 9 and maybe 8. It won't probably happen, but I would LOVE to see her tackle 14 just for the story. 7 would be good too. If she doesn't mind pixel graphics of the older games, she probably would like 6 as well.
Guys I don't know what fans think of ff now but 6, 7 and 9 were considered best, in that order coincidentally, by fans my age. I consider 7 to not only be the best ff but one of the greatest rpgs of all time despite how over rated it tends to be. 10 isn't really well received by old fans however and neither is 8 lol.
@@doublebassman123 8's combat system was awesome stupid fun... But not very good, objectively. Tripple triad is probably the best minigame ever. I'm so sorry, I feel bad reuploading this after seeing your passionate comment. But I don't want to compromise the experience, so I have to make this decision. Thanks for commenting again!
Here a reminder that they fucked up the aspect ratio in the 50hz PAL release on PS2, making every character look like a hamster with filled cheeks. You might not believe it, but that takes quite a lot away from the tragedy.
This was the case with almost every PAL release until the PS3 era. From NES all the way to PS2 games. It was not only letterboxed but was slowed down as well due to the reduced refresh rate/frame rate. I actually started pirating NTSC versions of games I already owned for this reason and was blown away by how smooth it felt in comparison. PC never had this problem, so this explains why the PC version of the games felt so much better too (not just due to more powerful hardware).
Thank you so much for the translation, it means a lot to me, this is probably my favorite game of all time and I really like hololive / pekora, yet I don't understand Japanese so it's difficult to understand their reactions exactly.

Holy cow, you did some hard work on this! Thank you
Her first FF, this is a pretty good FF to start with. I think she would enjoy 9 and maybe 8. It won't probably happen, but I would LOVE to see her tackle 14 just for the story. 7 would be good too. If she doesn't mind pixel graphics of the older games, she probably would like 6 as well.
If I had to pick one I'd love to see her try 9. The character cast is just too strong.
Lots of people Struggled with the time travel plot (a bunch of (potentially Really Confusing if you're actually following the story) not-actually-plot-hokes are only resolved by the last link in the stable time loop dropping into place after the final boss fight). It really got a lit of undeserved hate.
@@laurencefraser my dislike of 8 came from screwing myself over from not getting specific summons early in the game (i didn’t know i had to pull it from the first boss) and not knowing that monster strenght scales with Squall. I missed crucial items to upgrade weapons so i did grinding as usual, making the game so much harder instead of easier.
I would have had to start over for a third time to have a chance to finish it once…
I soo wanted a sub version of this, so i can cry all over again. Thank you so much!
This is crazy, haven't played for years, I hear To Zanarkand, hear Tidus speaking and the flashbacks are there. It may cos it was the first, I really played, but this is my favorite part of the whole series.
Same. VII was the first I played, but X was the first I beat. (was 3-4 when VII came out). X just has a special place in my heart and is the one I remember the most fondly
Although I always thought the framing device was a tad awkward. "Listen to my story..." *most of game happens* "Um, yes, Tidus, mate, we know. We were there."
God level editing and compiling. Thanks
FFX was my first. It was really cool to watch Pekora play through it.
Thanks for the translation and the work you put in.
I rarely watched a long video, I watch this one twice. Thank you
Oof I loss my comment, but thanks for the translation! I really enjoyed watching this.
I'm so sorry, I feel bad reuploading this after seeing your passionate comment. But I don't want to compromise the experience, so I have to make this decision. Thanks for commenting again!
Tidus and Pekora laughing together is literally hilarious to hear. A shame I missed her streaming this.
Bro thanks a lot for this, this must have been taking a lot of your time, i appreciate it
5 secs in Pekora: it's too loud
Me: Nah fam, blast that shit right through my eardrums, straight into my cerebral cortex
Let the tears flow through you
Here a reminder that they fucked up the aspect ratio in the 50hz PAL release on PS2, making every character look like a hamster with filled cheeks.
X is my favorite Final Fantasy and I've played through it multiple times. Hell, I even taught myself to play "To Zanarkand" on the piano. Needless to say I love the game. Seeing others experience it for the first time is always a treat. Big ups to Pekora for the stream and OBM for the highlights and translation.
The only streams I missed were the ones on weeknights because I had to work in the morning. I watched nearly all of her FFX run live, and it was so worth it.
You are a fucking champion! Thank you for this!
40 mins full edit?!! Thank you for doing God's work😭🙌
I loved!.
I hope that one day the rest of hololive fantasy and Moona will play FF-X
Thank you greatly for the translation friend
Pekora's speech after 18:24 oooof, I'm a sucker for this stuff.
16:30 I love her debate here
thank god for the caption, this is one of the most entertaining videos ive ever seen. such a good sense of humor and it works so well in this vtuber format
7:22 Tidus and Pekora having a laugh-out wasn't something I knew I needed.
Pekora : crying from tidus x yuna
FF fans : congrats...you are now one of us
Pekora : heavily ship tidus x yuna
FF fans : congrats..now you have fallen as well
Maaaaan,,,i love this game...
Man, I really hope she will do more FF stuffs in the future. FF and DQ are both great series, but in different ways. Its always fun seeing a fan of one discovering the other.
11:07 It's funny how they couldn't animate Lulu sliding down the rail with those leather belts so they just didn't show her at all.
Actually I'm pretty sure Kimahri was carrying her but yeah no way was she sliding in that dress
@@NoHer0 Oh wow, you're right. I never noticed all these years.
wow amazing work ! thank you for your dedication i really appreciate it!! great job
thank you very much for the translation!
thank you for this. its my favourite game of all time and i always enjoy seeing streamers reactions to it. this must have taken you a long time so thank you again!
This whole video just is reason enough of why i love Pekora so much. Pekora is just number 1 and always will be
I only just finished FFX for the first time last month and I really liked it. I have yet to watch Pekora play any of it other than the Tidus laugh, but I’m very excited to see how she reacted to the end
9:22 Thank you for all the lightning cuts. Each was its own highlight
Very glad I watched this video in my recommended. Amazing.
now Pekora is one of us, let's go through all FF!
Thanks a lot for that clip. FFX was my first Final Fantasy too, so yeah .. happy pain peko
Thanks for this 40mins gem.
This is amazing thank you so much!
Thank you for the herculean effort on compiling this. I'm so happy whenever the girls play *proper* games like this, hopefully they do more classic Final Fantasy too.
"It's going to be Firaga right?
...Ultima?"
L O L. Man I forgot how it felt to see this spells for the first time 2 decades ago. Good stuff.
Pekora's Aeon fights is the hardest to watch without shedding a tear.
Can v take a min to appreciate this madlad for subbing a 40+ min video
She chose a great first FF
Amazing job with edits and translation. Captured the emotional parts of our dear rabbit beautifully.
26:52 "hmm the BGM is not stopping"
Narrator: because it is not stopping
I watched her last FF10 stream
still going to watch this clip
She knows our pain now, FF family. I hope she plays X-2 eventually, and I hope she gets to my favorite FFIX as well.
I absolutely loved X, but I could never get into X-2. The gameplay is just too.... bad imo. I didn't like it at all.
Of course, Pekora the war lord cries the hardest when she has to kill her summons of death and fear. A warlord till the end.
as a big fan of this game
I'd say thanks for compiling the clip
gonna try the HD remaster soon
