Maaaaaaan! We didn't have a PS2 growing up and I had to finish this on a PC/Game cafe that has a PS2. I have my own memory card though but it was both embarassing and amazing crying in public. A few backseaters also cried.
PekoMiko's immersion toward story-driven game is amazing. Noel and Iroha's reaction are also good but it is always very emotional when Pekora and Miko could not hold their tears when watching the story. now another vtuber that I wish to play FFIX. Korone and Watame's reaction at the final scene were really great.
No game to date has me attached to the characters to day. I played this 2 years after this came out, and 20+ years later, NOTHING in those 2 decades made me feel what this game has managed to do. They don't make heartbreaking stories like this any longer.
@@tcrmnk6370 fits better.?when yuna was clearly trying to say that she is going to move on .how is that fitting.thats why the speech made so much sense as it what she have decided at that very moment and specially trying not to make tidus worry.
@@chrisgaming8846 I prefer to think of it as translating the subtext. She loves him, but can’t say it and so only thanks him, but he and we both understand what she really is saying.
Tidus is part of the past and when Sin died he gone too (atleast that how i remember it, i played it back in 2005) and there is FF X-2 after this where Yuna begin her new journey looking for Memory Sphere if i remember it correctly.
Basically Tidus discovers that he is not part of the same dimension of Yuna ( he is basically a spirit ) and if the party wants to close the rift, Tidus must also go back to his place. That is the summary. Yuna is a summoner and she ( in a convoluted way ) is responsible for summoning Tidus, without realizing it.
To be more specific,Tidus was a person that exist one thousand years ago, Sin(the final boss of this game) has the power to made the people inside of it's dream become real, and Sin was the father of Tidus(male protagonis) so thats why he appear inside of SIn's dream. Defeating the final boss would also means that it will no longer dreaming so there is no more power to support Tidus's existence in the real wolrd.
More like "I love you but I don't wanna worry you, so I will say thank you so you think I will be okay and move on from you" kinda thing. But then EN translator just say "fuxk it this game is for kids just say you love him straight forward and effective.😂
As someone who doesn't really like X's story all that much it had some really strong moments and the ending was one of them. Shame about uhhhhhhhhhhhh all that sequel content.
Our poor Elite Baby had me in my feels when she was crying last night but the moment she saw Seymour's NTR pic and went from 😭 to 🤬 she had me 🤣 and cheered me right back up..
Who did the subbing? Arigato does not mean I love you. I know that is the line in the US version of the game, but this isn't the US version of the game. It's not the same thing.
It's funny that they changed Arigatou to I love You in the English version. American audiences don't handle subtlety that well I guess. Personally I prefer "I love you" but I like my romance to be a touch melodramatic
It would be more sad if tidus say goodbye to everyone not only to yuna I mean... I know you love her but what about the rest of em you can't just ignore them like that
It actually hurts more that from 0:37-0:45, he looked back at them and seemed like he wanted to say something but decided not to. Because if he did, it would probably break them all to tears.
I personally consider Yuna to be the strongest female lead in all of Final Fantasy. And by that, I mean that she goes through so much heartbreak and grief throughout the events of both FFX & FFX-2, and yet she never truly breaks (she does come close at one point in X-2, if not for Rikku & Paine being there to support and encourage her when she most needed it). The kind of willpower and emotional strength she needed to get through all of that trauma is amazing. So many of us likely would have broken long before the end, but Yuna just keeps moving forward. She might falter and hesitate at times, but she never truly gives up.
Actually, she breaks at the lake scene, but that’s why she and Tidus are great characters. She’s there for him when he breaks, and he’s there for her when she breaks.
