i wouldn't rely on e-upgrades coming through for you if you really want to travel in an upgraded cabin. If A/C can sell out the cabin before upgrading you they will and your e-ugrade credits are simply returned to you. .....to bad so sad. Upgrades are not guaranteed. Love your info here !!
Is this gonna change anything regarding availability?! Been looking for NA to Asia (any city pair, any time) and STRUGGLING to find anything that isn't insanely over-priced 😭😭
Not sure what you consider over-priced, but there's for example YYZ->NRT for 37.9k economy on August 7th
@@VitorCruzeiro looking at business class rewards, i dont think its wise to use points for economy. Only thing i can find is Air India for 87.5k (which would be fine if it was guaranteed to be their upgraded planes, which wont happen until end of 2025)
@@valianes how about SEA->ICN for 75k on November 26th? Its operated by Asiana though and I have no idea how good/bad their service is, but the price seems ok for a 12 hour flight
Asia can be a challenge to find. Consider transiting through the Atlantic Zone - with or without a stopover. Search tools can also be a timesaver for finding space.
Which loyalty airline program is the easiest to get gold status for the three airlines alliance?
Hi Ricky, first of all congrats on thr 110k sub milestone 🎉
There seems to be a sudden policy change starting from late April/early May that AC no longer releases R space on some of the international routes, especially to Asia, even though the majority of the j seats are not sold yet. Is this temporary or permanent? I feel like my Eupgrades are devalued. Could you comment on this please?
R space are released on flights which AC deem as having less demand. If a particular flight AC believes can have most of the business class seats sold by cash, then they wouldn't release any R space, and let alone any J space. If the demand reduces, then you can count on more R and J spaces being released. We are still in the middle of revenge travel, but I believe it is slowly normalizing.
Thank you!
I noticed that the lowest Economy Basic fare no longer gives you any SQM as opposed to 25%. We purchased a Tokyo ticket in July 2023 with a return flight in the first week of January 2024 when we accumulated some SQM on our Elite Status but booking a trans-pacific flight for this upcoming December 2024 it says 25% Aeroplan pts/No SQM.
This probably won't matter too much for those seriously chasing Elite Status accumulating 25% SQM at a time will be impossible to reach a tier but even if you just needed a little bit more to get to the next tier, that 25% option would've been nice.
The beginning background music... Is a little bit much hahaha 😅 it's like an intense action movie trailer, and the volume id a little high
Good information but you don't need the LOUD music. Tone it done so that it's not competing with your voice. Very annoying.
Air Canada has gone downhill the points used to be pretty good now they are ridiculous. It used to be 12,000 to go to Toronto to Halifax now it’s 25,000.
How does that make sense, on my card program finishes up I will be cancelling
Just out of curiosity, which cards will you be getting next?
@@PrinceofTravel that’s a good question. I currently have the visa Infinite travel card
Scotiabank
Thanks for this! Wish 25K/35K changes also extended the AC baggage allowance to UA and LH too.
Erm acctualy the td areoplan visa infinite is not a premium credit card
Please talk slowly

How do the USA issued Chase credit card benefits improve or worsen?
It wasnt shown but is the Chase Aeroplan card w/25k status going to get the 24 months in E-upgrades?
And is that retroactive for e-uogrades earned in 2024?
Thank you...
same question here
Just to be clear, the Lufthansa priority check in thing and the zone 2 boarding for 25K and 35K is effective now? That will be super handy for my trip later this month.
It's supposed to be but have seen people reporting it not working.
I just brought Chase aeroplan… I was booking tickets for my trip and saw a special offer for 160k (70k+90k) points… unfortunately I don’t remember the terms and I reach out to the customer care and they also don’t know that… any thoughts?
E-upgrade certificates are useless. Never can use them.
Agree!
It's still a matter of supply/demand and timing. Lots of people have eUpgrades and status now. If everybody can upgrade easily, then the airlines don't need to sell Business class tickets again. While challenges exist, it is far from impossible to use them effectively.
Really depends on route and season.
It would be nice if Eupgrades could work for families. But it they as there's a limit
Thanks for the info + video!
Error on your display at 5:20sec. TD aeroplan branded credit card should be Infinite Privilege, not Infinite.
How much are they paying you
I have the TD VIP without elite status. Under 25k. So I’m still eligible for eUpgrades?
You won't earn any without reaching 25k status.
Rollover benefits or earning eUpgrades? You only earn eUpgrades from having status.
@@PrinceofTravel ok thank you for the clarification!
I have 27k aeroplan points does it means I am under 25k member ? Please explain @PrinceofTravel
@@pvz2462 no. That’s points only not flying miles. Read the fine print at aeroplan site.
how can we use American card benefits as Canadian !
You will have to be eligible and apply for a card issued by a bank in the US. It's a long topic, feel free to join us in Prince of Travel elites on facebook and ask this question. As more people will be able to chime in.
COYG
TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite is a premium credit card???
No it is not. Apology for using the wrong photo. It should be the darker version, the TD Visa Infinite PRIVILEGE card instead.
😮by the way, you speak so far.
Kindly change the video speed to 0.75x speed, and you will be able to slow down the video. Many perceived the videos as being "too fast" is due to the amount of information being provided, so if you encountered any information that you have questions of, just double tap the left half of the video screen to backtrack 10 seconds, or tap "J" if you are using laptop keyboard.
🙏🏼
I have 600,000 Aeroplan miles, yet they give me no status?!?
If you want to earn Air Canada status, you have to do one of two things: 1) spend money on Air Canada ticketed flights, or 2) earn 100,000 Aeroplan points in a calendar year (not including points transfers from AMEX) to qualify for 25k Status via Every Day Qualification (EDQ).
@@PrinceofTravel thanks, I didn’t know the dollar amount was so high. I don’t know how many Aeroplan members have this much points balance though I suspect I am in the minority. That is why I think they should just give me status for 33 years of loyalty to Air Canada and the Star Alliance Group.
Many people who have lots of points but also not having any loyalty status with the airlines. Flying a lot over many years is not the same as flying a lot in a given year. Airlines usually target business travellers where travellers often flown for hundreds of flights a year. That is the most ideal customers airlines want, hence the high status given to these business travellers. For many people who only fly with the same airlines few times a year, despite having flown over many decades, is still not the same as business travellers' level of flight frequency. Hope my analysis helps!
@@PrinceofTravel indeed it does, thank you.
PoT please speak slower, thks,
you can also set the youtube video to playback speed at 0,75x or pause at anytime. The reason it seems fast is because there were information building over information, but not necessarily the speed of the talking.
Do not know how to adjust speed on my phone or app
Can you explain how you're able to gain so many points to fly like this? You must be a business owner? The average Joe will never be able to earn the amount of points required to fly the way you do.
An “average Joe” can definitely earn enough points to fly in business class. That’s what we’re all about at Prince of Travel. Come check out the beginners series on our website: princeoftravel.com/guides/miles-points-for-beginners-why-points-matter/
i feel bad for my Canadian brethren, because Air Canada is the absolute worst airline around.
Agreed!
I just don’t agree. They’ve been solid for me lately. Not perfect but consistently very good to me.
@@quickform2264 Good to hear sir. My question is, do you have much experience with any other airlines? From my experience, Delta is the gold standard for Canada/US travel.
So agree, especially their signature service!
I flew Air Canada from Vancouver to London last summer and enjoyed it. Was it on par with Singapore Airlines? No, but it was still a good experience. It was superior to my experience of flying WestJet to Europe, and vastly better than American Airlines.
