These two young ladies with their lovely voices remind me of my many days in Tijuca and Leblon playing my flute, dancing and singing. I thank Maestro Chamorro for allowing me to enjoy the sound and voices of his wonderful artists. I plan to be in Figueres and Barcelona, God willing, next spring. Alba and Joana are great singing together. That song is not an easy piece to sing, it requires good memory, clear Brazilian Portuguese diction, excellent timing, and harmony; and you have to feel the fascinating bossa music and social dynamic of the Brasil of that era. BTW, I enjoy Alba’s swaying to the rhythm; she’s full of zest. Man, she was just a little kid with a big trumpet and a cute voice just a few years ago! Joan Chamorro has a unique musical gift and pedagogical approach; the man is a superb teacher, he’s a national treasure of Spain and Catalunya. iViva Don Joan Chamorro!

Everything about this is absolutely wonderful! Alba is even better here (really sparkling) than in the earlier version with Rita, and Joana is also great. The arrangement is magical - so many delicate colours - and the playing is marvellous! Thank you for this miraculous young ensemble!

It‘s so delightful to watch Alba singing with her eyes open. Not that it would affect the sound in any way, but it adds so much to a very joyous athmosphere of the piece.
So good it happily reminds me of the original video with Mr. Jobim (the composer) and Elis Regina. These Sant Andreas young ladies providing dynamic vocals, all the great musicians nailing every nuance of the music, the smooth and beautiful Sax of Scott Hamilton and, of course Joan C. are on a level I wish I could achieve. They are Astonishing! It’s so bright, sweet and happy that it literally brought a tear to my eye . Thank you for sharing this performance. 😅

Simpática interpretación de uno de los grandes clásicos de la Bossa Nova, con las adorables Alba Armengou y Joana Casanova "haciendo" de Elis Regina y Tom Jobim en aquella histórica (por muchos motivos) grabación de 1974. Se nota que la han visto muchas veces. Sensacional como siempre el gran Scott Hamilton al saxo, en otra de sus muy frecuentes colaboraciones con la SAJB. Muy bien el acompañamiento de una orquesta llena de talentos, basta con repasar los nombres. Video para disfrutar con una sonrisa.

This version has more intimate camera work and I think a slightly better reproduction of the lows from the band. Joana and Alba are relaxed and having lots of fun with it, as is Scott. A little different from before but every bit as well done. Loved it.
