I love the Hydro but at $40 a month on top of the purchase price. forget it . might as well be a boat anchor as far as I'm concerned. I'll get the Nordic Track and the $15 individual Ifit plan. nice review though, thanks
Very helpful review of rowers. Thanks. Based on all my research, I love the look and features of the Hydrow but I'm not going to shell out $2500 and then pay $44/month on top to use it. They've purposely made their product only usable with their paid subscription. They say there is a free "just row" feature (super basic) but that won't work if I can't connect to the internet. It's a big loss on their part to try to force customers into a membership. It's not sustainable for the company and they will eventually go under with this business plan. I'm thinking the Nordic Track solution offers the best solution. Appreciate all your insight.
do these change resistance automatically only if using ifit? i know i would not stop to change the resistance. im looking for one that acts like a bike or treadmill does with programs.
You should get a Concept 2 or the new Rogue rower or go with the Sunny. I use the Concept2 in the gym. It is an amazing machine and the Rogue is essentially identical. At home I use the Sunny. For $250 it is incredible. By the way, I'm 6' 1" and weight 205 lbs and it is perfectly stable with me.

Interesting that the Peloton Row did not make the GGRE list for top 5 magnetic rowers.
