Mike starts out by discusses hanging out at Vince McMahon Sr.'s Florida home while Vince and Eddie Graham would talk business. Mike attributes the WWF's hiring of Dusty Rhodes, Bob Backlund Hulk Hogan, and Billy Graham to his father's meetings with Vince Sr.
We then hear about how Dusty Rhodes came up with his iconic "American Dream" character and his legendary babyface turn in Florida before going in depth on his personal feelings of Dusty and him taking Florida talent with him to JCP.

Bob Roop rejuvenated his career with Kevin Sullivan and the Army of Drakenss..
Loved his work in ICW POFFO
I like the video of Bob Roop showing that one guy the ropes who wanted go be a Pro-wrestler LOL
The “Dusty broke dads heart” thing starts at 7:09 for those who want to get directly to it
Basically Mike Graham told us it's dusty Rhodes fault that his daddy killed hisself
RIP Mike
This guy is the same as Bret Hart, son of a promotor, Tragic story. I always knew how Eddie Graham died, and also how great his finishes were. This family is on the same level as the Von Erichs, especially because of Mike's son Steven also taking his own life. Such a tough business, professional wrestling. This family lived and died it.
Mike's uncle took his own life too
@shannonbarnwell3114 jesus...was he involved in the wrestling business at all?
R.I.P. Mike Graham.
Mike was on tbe booking committee in WCW..
Wish his Dad hadn't taken his life.. 😔 😟 🙁
That photo of Dusty Rhodes at the beginning of this video made me wonder what could his bra size have been?
This is a story that I never heard before 😮
Business is business. JCP made Dusty a good offer and he took, it's as simple that and Magnum TA went with him not to long after that.
Never know what was real or fake with this guy......
Seems like a requirement to be a wrestler up until the 90s or so
Mike Graham says his dad never pushed him to work elsewhere.
You know why, Mike? Nobody was calling Eddie and asking if his kid was available. Oh, they’d call about Dusty, Dicky, and even Ron Bass, but never Mike. Since he always got pushed via nepotism, he never worked on his promos or character, because he didn’t have to. So, he never improved. When Florida closed, Mike was still just boring Mike Graham, without daddy’s company.
Little ruff don't you think!
@ Honesty is often brutal.
you could just tell he was an angry drunk
I got the same impression
Yep
Dusty broke zero guitars, drew many dimes
not dimes,,,
dollas,babay,DOLLAS!!!
Thank you. Came to see if any dimes were drawn. Can leave now. Bless you.
Did you thretan Dusty with the like you pretend you did with Benoit both of whom would have kick Mike Graham's wimpy butt
His dad was dead when Dusty Rhoades went to New York . How did he do it ? By a seance ?
In the ‘70’s not the ‘89 polka dot version.
Dusty went to New York more than once.
His daddy killed hisself in 85 dusty was at Crockett than
@@sitcom1971 Usually when Dusty went to New York it was to get the fans in Florida the anticipation of him returning (also no one else could really get over as a face while Dusty was there)
He never drew a dime.
Totally agree
Mike might have drawn a nickel and 2-3 pennies, but never, ever, a dime.
Ol Mike Graham... always a hater😅
I always liked him UNTIL I found out that he used to stretch wrestlers that were just learning and threatened Chris Benoit! Never liked him again. 😑
I understand your point but Mike didn’t do that stuff it was others that were pressured by his Dad to do that stuff which some of those guys did not like doing that. Eddie was very protective of the business.
Well, Mike admitted to doing a little of the stretching, unfortunately.I wish he would ‘ve asked him about his heel turn- since Mike wrestling as a Heel was REALLY shocking. Didn’t last that long but I wish he would have asked him about that.
Died how he lived did Mike Graham, wasn’t worth a damn and made his bones talking about the success of others.
yikes
