I understand why Lex would feel bad about not giving Vince 2 weeks notice but Vince had paid guys a bonus to NOT give notice when they left a Territory. Bobby Heenan was the only one of that group that left Vern Gagne, who gave his 2 weeks. That group included Hogan, Ventura, Gene Oakerlund, and a few others.
True. What’s funny is Vince aggressively tried to put everyone out of business, but it almost backfired and put him out. Crockett selling opened the door for Ted Turner to get into the game, and he had Vince on the ropes
Bischoff said he gave Lex some mid-low level deal for a guy of his experience. He probably wasn't that interested in Luger if he made it a stipulation to give no notice. Vince probably would have cut Lex 6months-1 year later if he had nothing for him.
@jefferyorton1723 While I don't believe in god..and think that anyone who believes in god is willingly ignorant, I do believe that Lex is one of the few 'christian wrestlers' that actually believes in what he is spewing. Guys like Ted Dibiase are full of crap..and it is just a gimmick to make money. Apparently, he actually charges the churches that he visits an appearance fee. Plus, he gets a cut of the collection plate. All tax free. On top of that...Dibiase is wrapped up in a crazy, multi-million dollar welfare and benefits fraud case with one of his sons right now. The case against his son...but Ted Sr. is named as a beneficiary of his son's welfare fraud case and was alleged to have recieved MASSIVE kickbacks.... again, tax free...since it was all fraudulently obtained.
It seemed to me like most guys who worked for WCW for more than 5 years, and then left for the WWF, always returned to WCW. The list is extensive, including: Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, Sid Eudy, Ric Flair, and Lex Luger.

Lex never got his World Championship title run. So, really, by mid-1995, it was totally appropriate for Lex to leave without notice.

Mcmahon is getting exactly what he should...
That Marc Mero question sure came out of nowhere. 😂
I assume Vince used the letter to wipe himself after reading it
Wheelchair lex is my favorite version of lex, I like how he keeps a positive attitude.
Idk. The toxic Jesus positivity feels like a gimmick.

I ignore the Jesus part and look at the person. Wheel chair positivity is a good thing.
@@johnliberty3647 sure thing. 👍🏻
I saw him standing at a singing a few months ago. He seems to be doing even better.
Famous Fletch was here.

They couldn't handle the work load and travel and we're used to be able to do and say whatever they want and that just didn't fly with Vinnie Mac
It’s like he’s taking the piss with this interview. Saying as little as possible
How long was lex in wwe? 2 years?
Love Lex
Lex
Ask mean gene, hulk, and everyone
Vince used to screw the territory promoters, how much notice they gave?
You didn’t owe Vince McMahon anything you were working without a contract and they treated you like a Gibroni on the way out

Awful nickname. The Total Package was spectacular.
