It’s time for an absolutely incredible off-road race!
We’ve got our hands on a Polaris RZR off-road buggy, and it’s going head-to-head in a series of off-road challenges against a Suzuki GSX-R that’s been modified to help it leave the tarmac!
So let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the Polaris, it’s powered by a 1-litre 2-cylinder engine that can deliver 112hp. It comes with four-wheel drive, weighs in at 745kg, and all-in costs around £29,000.
As for the bike, it’s a whole lot lighter than the Polaris, weighing only 198kg. It’s still packing a bit of power, mind, being able to put down 140hp. It was one of the most sought-after super bikes back in the early 2000s, and it's now had several mods added to it including off-road tyres and armour plating!
So can a superbike actually beat a buggy that's been built for off-roading? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

He is a professional, it's not a silly title mate calling him.If your an old viewer you will remember that when Sam teaching Matt and his mother to how to drift properly, dude is a great asset.

Great video. Brilliant riding by Chris on a old superbike with nobbly tyres on! How about doing it again and letting Chris ride an Adventure bike designed for off road!
That would make things way to easy. I think the bike needs a more aggressive rear tyre than the AX41 it 50/50 at best

Polaris RZR Buggy shaped very similarly to the Buggy from MAD RIDERS, a sequel from Nail'd on PS3.

I mean, driving a buggy with four tyres and the commitment of Sam is already impressive enough, but doing it on two and with a bike that is nowhere near optimal for those conditions is just nuts

Absolutely one of your Top 10 best episodes ever - Chris summed it up when he said he'd done a lot of these but today was the best day ever - and it showed on film! Bummed that the ending was sorta engineered against Sam, as he really did crush it, but given Chris had no cage and only 1 wheel drive totally cool that he won. Epic all around.

Dang, I spent 10+ years in Polaris Engineering developing RZRs...if only we had your vehicle test methods and track...I'm sure we could have built the RZR to win. We just didn't realize 12 second single laps were the way to victory... Honestly, I loved the video, great fun! BIG 👍
