    I will do something I rarely do even to major channels I watch regularly that are fed to me by the recommend tab and subscribe cause despite the requisite youtuber voice (in the intro), your positivity is nice in, specifically the Doctor Who space, a very overly critical online space. Doctor Who is just so positive, I'd prefer to watch a "bad" (if there is one) episode of (post 2005) Doctor Who ten times over a decent day at work. And this was damn good Doctor Who, I cried watching the little window in your reaction, and I cried both times I watched the episode, like how is that not damn fucking good.
    Also in retrospect, looking at your catalog of videos, fire show choices. Probably gonna end up watching a whole lot of you at least for the next several hours.

      (in requisite youtuber voice) Welcome! Glad to have you! hahaha
      Ya I actually got into reacting because of Doctor Who reactors like Fandom Reactions, Blind Wave, FailWhale and so many others, but I have noticed a more critical tone about Doctor Who starting to infect the react space since they've kind of faded from doing reactions. I joke that Doctor Who is my religion, so I will ALWAYS come to every episode with excitement and joy at just being able to watch New Who! (back in that voice) and I'm glad to have you following along! lol

    I thought it was a great Christmas special, I love the concept of the Time Hotel. Really wanted to see the Doctor go through the Hobbit Door. As an Atheist myself, I don't really like religion, but as i said to Joshua, Doctor Who has always been full of religious iconography. Christianity is just the last of a long line that has been referenced. he last minute didn't take way from a good episode.

      Agreed, it may have soured the ending it didn't detract from the episode itself.
      I do hope (and expect) to return to the time hotel at some point because it's such a cool concept... And we WILL see what's behind the Hobbit door! (Peter Jackson HAS said he wants to do an episode of Doctor Who in the past, so maybe it's a sneak peak? Lol)

    The ending wasn't really religious, it was more about spreading hope

      If it was about hope, I would have preferred they put: Bethlehem, Palestine at the end.

    I really enjoyed this episode. Pun not intended. It was great to see Ncuti bouncing around again as the Doctor. I loved seeing him be mean, but this time, it was with a purpose. Moffat was always good at writing a mean Doctor. I’m going to say it again, but I’m getting sick of the Doctor crying. He’s allowed to feel his emotions, but the fact he’s cried in every single episode has really, really, really cheapened his crying, being effective to the audience for me. I think Anita was more interesting and impactful than Joy was. The episode is basically titled after her, and yet she disappears for a third of the episode. Also, shouldn't it be "Bethlehem 0000" or "Bethlehem 0001 B.C." and not "Bethlehem 0001"?

    • @DFQreacts
      @DFQreacts  16 дней назад

      You know, I agree that Anita left a bigger impression than Joy even though the main plot revolved around her! Anita was a nice side companion that The Doctor was able to help even though she was just in passing. (perhaps, I'll bet she'll make a cameo down the road!) Maybe the Time Hotel will be a new Torchwood-esque plot device!
      And ya, I get that. I think he cries really well, and it shows that this Doctor is allowing himself to finally feel...and maybe that's why this Doctor is so emotional is he hasn't ever let himself just be exposed and raw...idk. But thats what made 1014 so gutting when he got angry or desperate, because he never showed that side.
      More like Bethlehem 0001 DW lol

    This was the worst ever episode of Dr. Who the whole thing with religion was just over the top its the one area the show should never go to.

      What are you on about mate, Religion gets brought up a lot in Doctor Who. The Priests of Silencio (the Silence), the Anglican Marines, We had the portrayal of the literal Devil, Yaz was a practising Muslim, Many themes of Faith in the episode of "God Complex", these are only a few examples of religion being brought up in Doctor Who. Doctor Who has never been afraid to bring up such sensitive topics as religion. the actual religious part wasn't till the very last minute of the show, stop being a hater for such a lousy reason, and comment on the actual show.

    • @DFQreacts
      @DFQreacts  27 дней назад

      While I do agree they shoehorned in Jesus thing was really unnecessary and kind of ended the episode on a bitter note, the episode itself and performances I thought were all great. Religion within the show is fine, as Raven pointed out, but to take an affirmative and position on the side of a particular god and religion is where I had issue.
