I’m honestly really impressed at Shen’s 20 vigor havin’ ass making it *this far* without leveling up. Nice to see a fellow Smooth Brain out in the wild.

Honestly impressive. One would thought she would have picked up it is NOT normal to get almost 1-hit by any boss she meets, but I get it that the game is extremely overwhelming that one is bound to ignore some stuff.

I went through the entire game initially without going above 20 until the very last boss lol. I got stuck for so long, I had to reallocate my points to 40 vigor
I also put almost nothing into vigor, but with an intelligence build it’s easier not to get hit. Shen’s scythe definitely needs a bit of tankiness to go with it
Fun Fact, due to how Elden Ring programs NPCs, Radahn doesn't actually target the player. He teleports his horse out of sight under the player...and then AIMS FOR HIS HORSE.

She powered leveled Faith early in the game just to use the scythe
dunno if it gets mentioned in the vid and i missed it, but couple of fun facts: 1. Radahn's horse is named Leonard and 2. the only reason Radahn learned gravity magic and became so strong in the first place was because he became to big to ride leonard so he learned it to make himself lighter.

adding another small detail that was removed from the game: the Cat ring was some sort of Amulet representing Radahn's cat, the cat used to climb and jump from the highest points of the Carian school.

No. I'm saying that learning to fight him solo after you've gotten the "first playthrough experience" is fun. He ain't even in the top 10 hardest bosses in ER solo, but he's a very enjoyable fight

To answer your question about Alexander, yes, he is in fact sticking the bodies of fallen warriors into his jar body and mashing them down into blood paste. That seems to be the origin of Warrior Jars as a whole, and the stronger the warriors inside, the stronger the Warrior Jar. So Alexander collected a bunch of the corpses of Radahn's and his enemy's armies and used them to make himself stronger, as well, it appears, as part of Radahn himself, which ends up giving him real cool elemental effects on some of his attacks later.
And the reason the stars fell after you won is because General Radahn is so cool and so strong that he was insane for years, and fought you, all while still using the majority of his power to essentially create a gravity shield around the planet that prevented the stars, and the creatures that live therein, from coming down to the surface. That's also why he rides such a tiny horse despite being such a large man. He loved that horse, Leonard, since he was young, but realized he was getting too big to ride him, so he mastered gravity magic in order to make himself light enough to continue riding his favorite horse. He's ultimately portrayed through lore as one of the most sympathic and generally decent of the gods and demigods. And you're probably dying so much because moreso than any other FromSoft game, you *need* to level your HP stat in this game. You're just going to get one-shot by every late game boss if you don't.

Ringed city actually isn’t that bad at level 80, as someone who beat Midir at level 70 something. Though if you do it before Soul of Cinder it makes the final boss disappointing lmao.

Before watching this, I wanna mention something about this: I watched the full stream VOD’s, and it was around this point in the playthrough when chat started being… just the worst. So if large swaths of gameplay are cut, that’s probably why.

Also, loved your reaction to Radahn. He's certainly one of if not my favorite Boss for myself, with both his presentation, his boss fight, the absolute size of the lad that is hilariously on top of his horse Leonard (yes, that tiny horse has a name), and his lore of being an absolute giga-chad.
You wanna know how he'd able to ride his horse? I'll tell you: when he got so big that riding Leonard would've been considered animal abuse, he walked over to Caelid and went to fucking school to master Gravity magic to the point he can hold back *fucking stars* just he can continue to ride the lanky fucker without hurting him. Even when maddened by scarlet rot, he loves that damn horse enough to consider him practically as a part of himself and not eat him.
Also, your reaction to his fiery entrance into phase 2 was golden.

These big headed ants irl use their big flat armored head to seal entrances to the colony when other ants or predators try to attack by jamming their head in the entrance, pretty funny looking though lol

I greatly enjoy shens style of play. Because she's simultaneously really good and goofy with it all. Sometimes massively underleveled and still managing. And the way she will find one weapon and never again touch another one is really charming, much more so when they aren't a meta weapon or build. Especially since I love the Winged Scythe and how much its underused

Blaidd calling the fight "sick" is one of the most egregious examples of a translator getting too hyped on the gamers behalf...and I'm totally here for it.
That headpiece you're wearing for the Radahn fight took me an excessively ignorant amount of time to farm.
Watching Shen run straight into the portals in Nokron and after the Fia's Champions fight without picking up the important item or talking to the NPC next to them hurt.

Always love seeing people react to Radahn's meteor attack. It's almost always hilarious. Radahn's a very cool boss! Presentation-wise there's almost no other boss that beats him out in Elden Ring. He is simultaneously intensely hilarious and incredibly awesome. I would not have it any other way.
I want to thank you for continuing this series despite how toxic the From Soft fanbase can get. I know you've had trouble with them in the past, and I bet if I read through all the comments on here I'd see plenty of them even now. So thanks for uploading these even with that happening, me and plenty of other people really appreciate it.

Radhan is such a badass. As a regular dude he whooped Melania's ass so hard she unleashed her scarlet rot cheat code and destroyed the entire area. He mastered gravity magic so he could still ride his horse and hold back a god powered meteor from crashing and he's the one boss in the game where you basically need people to come help

Fun Fact Time!: The ants with big heads are an actual thing IRL! They have large armor like heads that act as entrance covers for ant hills/ant homes. It confuses predators and keeps the hill safe! They’re basically the bouncer

I love knowing nothing about the mechanics of this game but still getting angry with Shen about all the Smithing Stone Sixes, just like "Yeah! Fuck that guy!"
To upgrade your weapons you need smithing stones. There are two weapon categories in regards to upgrade, Regular and Unique. Regular needs Smithing Stones(yellow ish ones), which comes in stage [1] to [8](plus special one for final +25). Unique needs Somber Smithing Stones(blue-white ones), [1] to [9](and again, special one for last +10 upgrade). Shen's scythe is a unique weapon so she needs white ones. Each upgrade tier needs specific tier of smithing stones, and she seems to not have any Somber Smithing Stone[5], leaving her unable to use her [6]s regardless of how many she has that specific tier of.
The "no vigor" arc has ended. The "not using mimic" arc has begun.
Unlike vigor, you don’t really need mimic to beat the game

I can't tell you how much joy it brought me to watch someone else suffering as much as I did against Radahn and the Valiant Gargoyles. As I understand it, they even toned those two bosses down in one patch or another. Radahn in particular was something else.

A funny thing is that if you run towards the water and he comes at you and hits the water it kills him instantly. Saw somebody pull that off the other day
