There is a setting for that. One time i randomized enemies, i ticked on or off a box that i thought gives me the boss amount of souls. Turns out i can't read and i only got the souls of regular enemies like 5000 for Artorias that replaced the undead dragon in the valley of drakes. He fell down and that amount was disappointing to say the least
Dark souls if it was actually a good game.
It's actually crazy how this was the original concept for artorias of the abyss, just a complete game overhaul

You should also be able to just change your bind to something better. I like having jump being just clicking on the left stick

fun fact: a throwing knife will guarantee a headshot once artorias kneels down to buff himself, which is a quick and reliable way to stop him from doing so.
I just finished watching your Dark Hand only run and was blessed with what I am already sure is going to be another exercise in watching someone torture themselves playing a video game. Can’t wait to see how this one pans out.

About your halberd and Priscilla scythe problem. There is a crystal halberd in a chest near the first bonfire in anor londo. Since crystal upgrades need a +10 weapon you can downgrade them to get your +10 fodder for the boss souls.
This also works with the lightning infused spear from Sen's fortress. And the occult club can be downgraded back to a divine weapon if you want one for Nito's skeletons or the catacombs.
I knew about the lightning spear thing, in my first playthrough I downgraded it to get ornsteins spear, but where the hell were you 6 months ago I really wanted to use Priscilla's scythe 😔
@sariuswasstolenalready Yeah, it's a shame. Lifehunt scythe is fun to use. But I just checked the wiki and the crystal halberd is a mimic drop. Since the Kalameet key don't drop with mods, you probably can't get this either.
The domhall guy sells some crystal weapons, but sadly no crystal halberds.

Also, consider using sorcery (I know lower undead burg is the literal spawn of satan but if get a full setup of sorcery items, it repays with great damage (even the damaging miracles are great options )even using weapon buffs(sunlight blade or pine resins are also options for future runs

I was thinking you could get the Pyromancy Flame from Quelaag's Sister's Servant so you could cast Power Within before defeating the Capra demon boss. I forgot that Quelaag's Sister's servant only offers you the Pyromancy Flame after you are infected with egghead which can't happen if all the enemies are Artorias.
I'm very glad people like you put themselves through this so I don't have to :D Thanks for the suffering, loved the music choices btw

To answer the pathfinding question; there's not really a reason to have multiple different scripts for pathfinding, unless the character flies or has some special properties pathfinding is a 1 size fits all type thing. Manus just gets stuck more because he's significantly bigger than Artorias
If you've ever done an Artorias themed run in any of the games, you almost feel... proud? Of all the Artoriases beating him to a pulp.
I in particular used his armor and the Giant Door Shields in DS3, and called myself... *Knob ArDOORias.*

Amazing video, great job and congratulations. Duke's skip is super annoying to perform, but well worth getting to skip the prison sequence. Also, not that it would have helped in this run given that the bonfire in the dukes prison couldn't be sat at, but you can actually warp out of the prison by rubbing up against the bars on the outside of your cell near the bonfire. The ability to sit at the bonfire extends just enough to let you sit at the bonfire from outside, and the warp-prevention hitbox is only on the floor of the inside of the cell.
I was doing a challenge of "100% player speed, 140% enemy speed, no health lvl up, dagger only", and Artorias is ungodly powerful with just that little buff. 140% speed doesn't make the game unnaturally fast, so i thought it's a pure skill challenge... and it is. It's just that Artorias has such a strong moveset, that outskilling him is very hard, with the only thing being harder is outskilling 140% Gwyn without parrying.

I know, that it's too late, but wait! You can use throwing knifes to stop buffing Artorias. You'll need only two knifes to make him stop. It's much faster than deal with it with two-handed sword and you don't need to come close! It's brilliant. Poor, that it's too late for you, Hollow!

Most likely all NPCs use the same navmesh, with a few exceptions like the hydra. So it doesn't matter what their 'normal' area is, just as long as there's a route laid out by the mesh.

Watching this video I had an idea for a challange(?). What if you replace all enemies that aren't sharing the player model with cosplayers? Like Artorias being replaced with an enemy hollow wearing his set and weilding one of the Artorias swords.
You could talk to the bug dude in the spider domain to get access to a pyro flame. You don't need just Laurentius
If you ever make another video like this, I wouldn’t mind if you go into more detail about each strategy for each room. Even if it makes the video much longer, it’s more entertaining.

Bad news... Boss arenas have invisible walls that prevent the boss from falling out of it but dont prevent the player from doing so.
