One of my nieces married a geek who does the electronics for marine scientists off Townsville. He says that, no matter how expensive, electronic levels need to be calibrated. I looked at my Canon, there's no way of calibrating that.

I'm on manfrotto but thinking of switching to arca
I use a Benro geared head. Same issue with having to reverse if pointing up (astro), but almost no play in the gear movement.
I've heard the benro is better indeed but I don't have that plate system. Maybe it's time to switch..

plus one recommendation for the Benro head, I like mine a lot. And I reverse it for astro too :-)
I've been using an "electronic protractor " for years. Don't trust bubble levels.

Cool Matthew! Seems, the Setup has been build up over the years!😎 Those Wheels are interesting, but don`t they move at long Exposures? Would love to use them, but i`m afraid...🙈😅 And ... let us know, when you find a better geared Head!✌
Depends on the floor you're on to be honest, sometimes it rolls but I can stop it with my feet
to be honest I awaited sth relevant- like a red dot aiming device for guns- thats is really helpful in contrast to the rest of the gear…
