If you put the top of the shocks under the top plate furthest outside hole and the bottom of the shocks on the out side hole you can use a regular size servo just need to make some custom stand off to fit the gap
I didn't find that to be true on my chassis. In fact, I did a whole video going through multiple servos, and exactly what was needed. My understanding is if someone has the v2 of this chassis, it is easier to fit larger servos.
I have a 10.5T motor from Hobbywing and running a ReveD servo. Ask questions as you have them. Happy to help. Check out some of my other Sakura videos for links to the parts and how I set the car up.
Yes of course I have question 😁. Mine looks like stiff too, i cant even see this ifs shock functioning. The question is. -in rc drifting should the front shock travel ? -what is the effect after modify the shock (from ifs to common position shock) like you do ? It is easier to drift ? Thank You.
With the standard D5S setup, the front shocks are very stiff. This is not ideal, but does seem to work OK. Ideally, you will have good movement on all 4 corners. This is very important for weight transfer to get the maximum performance. You want the suspension to move, to transfer weight (and traction) to the tires.
I found that when building my d5mr v2, that I over tightened the bottom cap on all 4 shock dampers which compressed the o-ring, increaseing resistance on the shaft, resulting it very stiff unresponsive suspension/bad handling.
I see that it is not available anymore! Boo! In the video description, there is also a Facebook link to the creator's post. His name is Adrian. I would suggest contacting him directly.

Cantilever cuspension provides more travel as well as putting les stress on shocks, the more travel helps to have more grip!
Thanks
Dude this video is awesome!! You could make the ends of the shocks longer also big bore shocks make a world of difference!!
Yes - I thought of using longer ball ends on the shocks. Depending on how further tuning goes, I might do just that.
Thanks!
If I ever get into drifting I think this is probably the car going to pick up With this exact body
