Love your channel, awesome help and great content. If you were to buy a sakura kit today, which one would you get..its a bit confusing as to which is the better one at the moment, thanks 😊
I prefer rear motor. I out as much weight back there as possible. However, the MR is really only a few % weight distribution different. I doubt most folks could tell the difference. They just released an upgraded MRv2. It fixes some fiddly parts with the v1.
Thanks for your amazing videos, love that, i learn always something New. Thanks a lot, i have the carbón fiber chasis on my d5, its fantástic you need to get one
Looks awesome. The weight transfer and spring action looks good. Looks alittle soft up front tho. I like the front to be snappier. I've been thinking about a D5 as a second beater chassis. My RMX is becoming a comp rig. And the Tr56/60 you built come with the extended rod ends. 👍
I've been watching pretty much all your drift videos. This d5 seems to be your go to drift car. I ordered a mst rrx chassis kit tho. Do you prefer this d5 over a mst? Pros and cons vs. One over the other? Maybe do a mst vs. d5 video. Like to know your opinion. Probably will get a d5 kit one day.
can you do a comparison between stock lower deck and newly bought alumunium lower deck? it would be very interesting to see the comparison between those two
I'm not a fan of sakura rwd chassis, I started with an XI sport that was converted to rwd and it was the bomb, I upgraded to the D4 and had nothing but trouble, parts installed wrong from the factory, stripped screws, it was impossible to tune, even a friend who had his D4 working like it was on rails couldn't tame mine. Passed it on to someone who wanted it for parts. I have tried a stock D5 and a modified D5 and they are in my opinion a little better and a great place for a beginner or a budget rc drifter to start, but to me it's still lacking something. I don't know what it is. I enjoy watching people drive theirs and I enjoy seeing yours on track and running well. The chassis looks good and there are plenty of optional upgrades out there, but I just don't get the same excitement, the same feeling I get when I drive my stock Yokomo YD-2E.
Interesting! This car has been great for me. I left it box-stock setup fir a long time and could hang with everyone else on the track. Different drivers, different feel I guess.
I’m still struggling with my set up , the front of car intends to goes to the left when I full throttle, and the back/the body was not sliding to the left, instead swinging to the right like circle .any idea how to fix it? Thanks
The oil came in the kit! It was included! This kit would work great on the MST also. The length issue I found would be similar. On my MST, I ran a set of the TR60 shocks which are 5mm longer.
It depends on if you have drag brake setup, and if you have your ESC calibrated to your controller correctly. Without drag brake, it shoudl roll at least a little bit. With drag brake, it will lock the wheels up immediately.
@@RoadsideRC how do I know if I have drag brake set up, and how to disable it? I’m using hobbywing esc 120 a , I’m not sure I calibrated correctly when I installed. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for your feedback, appreciate it.
I'm enjoying my D5 so far, and was looking for upgrades too.
Awesome! Hope this was helpful!
ordered a sakura d5 mr chassis ,love your video's ,keep drifting
Great! I bet you will enjoy it!
Finally some drift content:)!
I am trying!
More stuff on the way!
What a beautiful rig and I think this is what I will get when the time for drifting comes
I'd be happy to help, ask questions along the way!
@@RoadsideRC 👍

Ha! Yes - I like to live on the edge! :)

Yes! I would like to convert more of it to carbon fiber for sure!

Yes! You should certainly try the D5. It has surprised me how well it drives for sure.
👍
Thank you!

Yes, I do prefer the D5. It is really good straight out of the box.
can you do a comparison between stock lower deck and newly bought alumunium lower deck? it would be very interesting to see the comparison between those two
I weighted both and showed the stiffness difference. What else would you like to see?

You should make a video and review the sakura d5 pro
What specifically are you interested in with it?
Great
Thanks!
The heavier aluminum chassis will lower the cg slightly. Could be the flex in the stock chassis makes it more comfortable for you to drive(?)
I'm really happy with how it has turned out!
I’m still struggling with my set up , the front of car intends to goes to the left when I full throttle, and the back/the body was not sliding to the left, instead swinging to the right like circle .any idea how to fix it? Thanks
Check your gyro settings. Sounds like it is working backwards?
I want to change the chasi frame of my D5rr to D5s.. is it possible? Same holes for mounting???
Yes! They are the same.
@@RoadsideRC thanks yow
Can you please provide a link for the shock oil you use?
Also, would this shock set fit a rmx 2.0 rtr?
The oil came in the kit! It was included!

Could you review the Sakura d5mr
I don't have one! They look nice.
Is it normal for my rc car’s rear wheels to completely stop when the throttle is released or is it supposed to keep rolling? Thanks for the help.

You can use the program card, or follow the programming instructions in the manual.
Are you running stock gearing?
Yes!
