    I’m now curious how your D5 setup is now; I run the pro shocks from 3Racing so I’m curious what your finished setup (I imagine since this was 5months ago) looks like now

    How did you mount the ball studs to the front shock tower? The 3 racing studs are female thread. Did the yokomo 6mm give enough thread to add a nut underneath? Any interference with the servo? Thanks and sorry for all the questions! This video is super helpful!

    • @ScaleScience
      @ScaleScience  3 года назад +2

      The upper ball stud that comes with the dampers in the big bore kit is actually just the ball and is female threaded so I use 1 m3x6mm screw from underneath per side. It was a tight squeeze for the reveD servo so I also added 2mm to the hardware and a shim between the deck and the stock standoff.

    You should try using the 1.2m inverted piston with blue o ring and black tops!! 100 yokomo oil..
    The ggt special it’s so good 😊

      @ScaleScience  3 года назад

      Definetly a believer I actually built these all with Keith’s expertise and it was pre tapers pistons dropping iirc. Running the mentioned setup on the MC1 and I like it for sure! But neither feel like the OD dampers on the fantasy!

  • @Newbdrift
    @Newbdrift 3 года назад +1

    What’s the length of the dampers?

  • @herbfst
    @herbfst 3 года назад +1

    Question, why do you need to do this upgrade if these cars are designed for this purpose from the factory? Why wouldn't the hole be the proper size or at least closer too from factory

      @@ScaleScience I love what you do with this chassis. Do you have any idea of having more droop on the front?

    • @ScaleScience
      @ScaleScience  3 года назад +1

      @@BazelVanVeldhuizen yes! It’s hard to show it without the body on but I have it right on the edge so when the body is on, it settles into its droop!

    • @BazelVanVeldhuizen
      @BazelVanVeldhuizen 3 года назад +1

      @@ScaleScience Yeah, it is like the engineers designed a surprisingly good steering, but forgot about having more droop at the front.

    • @ScaleScience
      @ScaleScience  3 года назад

      @@BazelVanVeldhuizen widening the track width softened up the suspension quite a bit for droop! Might be worth a try if you have something shims and a wider body.
