I’m now curious how your D5 setup is now; I run the pro shocks from 3Racing so I’m curious what your finished setup (I imagine since this was 5months ago) looks like now
How did you mount the ball studs to the front shock tower? The 3 racing studs are female thread. Did the yokomo 6mm give enough thread to add a nut underneath? Any interference with the servo? Thanks and sorry for all the questions! This video is super helpful!
The upper ball stud that comes with the dampers in the big bore kit is actually just the ball and is female threaded so I use 1 m3x6mm screw from underneath per side. It was a tight squeeze for the reveD servo so I also added 2mm to the hardware and a shim between the deck and the stock standoff.
Definetly a believer I actually built these all with Keith’s expertise and it was pre tapers pistons dropping iirc. Running the mentioned setup on the MC1 and I like it for sure! But neither feel like the OD dampers on the fantasy!
Question, why do you need to do this upgrade if these cars are designed for this purpose from the factory? Why wouldn't the hole be the proper size or at least closer too from factory
@@silinalexandr can you message me on our Facebook page? Maybe you can screen shot a photo of what you’re asking for so I can better get you the info you’re in search chu cof
Hope to get some! Up to this point, my budget has always been minimal so needed to use tools I already had or that could serve multiple purposes. Any pliers you prefer?
@@BazelVanVeldhuizen widening the track width softened up the suspension quite a bit for droop! Might be worth a try if you have something shims and a wider body.
Im going to have to check out the air removal tool. 3 yrs Later, still using the tool?
Still using it!
@@ScaleScience that's great, and it's affordable. Really appreciate you 😊
I recently finished my d5 kit. Getting back into rc drifting with this chassis. Great video
Theharrysauce welcome back! Thanks for watching the video!
Nice! Keep the goodness coming.

@@ScaleScience Awesome thanks!
Alright mate, with the springs, what did you use front and rear. I can see the box of 3 just not which ones were used
Yellow front
Black rear
This will be my next upgrade once I get tired of the stock shocks
You should try using the 1.2m inverted piston with blue o ring and black tops!! 100 yokomo oil..
The ggt special it’s so good 😊

Awesome video.
Yo thanks for saying so! Appreciate it!
may you please ge shocks , springs F/R, oil and all parts , part numbers?
It’s all in the video with part numbers! You mean a list instead? Watch the video! Make the list!
Where did you get additional curvy spacers for steering?
Everything not stock is accounted for in part numbers.
@@ScaleScience What is the part number of such steering spacers?

i am going to buy the d5 but where should i buy the electronics for it? (Im new to this)
Depends on what you’re after! Feel free to send us a message on Facebook @scaleScience and we can further assist you there!
@@ScaleScience ok thx
nice🙌
man, its so sketchy using a hobby knife for those erings. haha.
^^^ for real, Jordan out here wit dem surgical hands 👀🧐
Haha agreed! I’ll have to make an update video with the ERing tool soon!
Damned Bill…..
Shock pliers are sooooo much better than the pliers you were using. Get yourself some, you won't regret it.

Plunger.... isn't it called a piston?
Why not both!
@@ScaleScience I love what you do with this chassis. Do you have any idea of having more droop on the front?
@@BazelVanVeldhuizen yes! It’s hard to show it without the body on but I have it right on the edge so when the body is on, it settles into its droop!
@@ScaleScience Yeah, it is like the engineers designed a surprisingly good steering, but forgot about having more droop at the front.
