Jeff Bridges plays 'The Weary Kind' from the movie 'Crazy Heart'. Shot during his interview with Peter Travers for his show on ABC News Now. For more check out abcnews.com/popcorn.
I just finished watching it for the first time and came straight to RUclips to see if there was a video of him playing it. Powerful. One of the greatest actors of all time
No great show, no scenery chewing. Bridges just gets up there and blows everybody else away. This is what you call a true actor! A real artist. I've loved him for 40 years. One of a handful of the best of the best!
This song got an Academy Award for composers, Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett. Bridges brings the same brilliant understatement to it as he does his acting. Very meaningful music for us with a touch of grey and in autumn.
Always liked Jeff Bridges as an actor - how sweet to discover he has a lovely voice and can make a guitar sing. Kudos Jeff - loved your part in the movie btw
Your heart's on the loose... And this ain't no place for the weary kind And this ain't no place to lose your mind And this ain't no place to fall behind Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try...
You can play this song from scratch in 3 months if you really try hard. Chords are easy except 1 Bm, rest is ok. No need to pick the notes, you may strum too.
Your heart's on the loose You rolled them seven's with nothing to lose This ain't no place for the weary kind You called all your shots Shooting 8 ball at the corner truck stop Somehow this don't feel like home anymore And this ain't no place for the weary kind This ain't no place to lose your mind This ain't no place to fall behind Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try Your body aches Playing your guitar and sweating out the hate The days and the nights all feel the same Whiskey has been a thorn in your side It doesn't forget The highway that calls for your heart inside And this ain't no place for the weary kind This ain't no place to lose your mind This ain't no place to fall behind Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try Your lover's warm kiss Is too damn far from your fingertips You are the man that ruined her world Your heart's on the loose You rolled them seven's with nothing to lose And this ain't no place for the weary kind
I have always loved Jeff Bridges, right from the early days of "Against All Odds"....I love the gentleness he brings to this song. Beautiful.....I can't wait to see this movie. I wish they would make more movies like this.
I'm so glad he won, after this movie one could easily mistake him for a country crooner, that just proves once and for all that he always was and still is a top league actor!!
this guy is crazy talented wtf, if he wasnt an actor he couldve made a living being a singer instead, truly blessed. I hope he is grateful for it everyday.
Terrific ! What a superb treat.Thank you Jeff Bridges and all who made this available for the joy of us lucky ones who get to listen ...on 31st May 2024.☘️
He plays guitar the exact same way I do. Jeff is amazing! I never knew he had this other talent in him. The movie was fantastic and Jeff and Colin were both awesome!
Wow!! A really great song from a wonderful movie. Bridges really brings the hurt and inner turmoil to the song, you really feel that the song just sings it's self thru his soul.
I’ve always been in awe of Jeff and brother Beau. This is just plain soulful…taking a great song and making his Bad Blake character seem to interact with “The Dude”. A really meaningful version by a guy who I wish I was brothers with! Thanks, Jeff! ☮️🖤🎵🌶
Congrats to Jeff Bridges! I've been a fan since his earliest movies, and wondered why he was passed by for the Oscar on his other nominated performances. But now he has the recognition which he deserves. A real talent. The Cohen Brothers who starred Jeff in the Big Lebowski spotted his genius. And just like their other stars Cage, Hunter, McDormand, he finally got his win.
Very thoughtful performance. I have been a Jeff Bridges fan since Thunderbolt and light Foot and Starman. I believe the the song is written by Ryan Bingham.
I wish 'bad blake' was a true artist. This music remindes me of the Eagles with the way the lyrics melodies and mood come together to speak a powerful message that touches my own life and experiences in a way the artist could only begin to imagine. Thanks to whoever wrote this song, and thank you Jeff Bridges for bringing it to life with a wonderful story.
I loved the movie and absolutely adored the soundtrack but years down the line I lost someone who meant the world to me. She was my first love we were teenagers in love Sadly her light was too bright for this world and she departed from this physical world 5 years ago This song really holds alot more meaning for me now because when I sing this song I don't sing it to myself...I sing it to our son and every time I do I do my best not to cry or choke up because he looks so much like his mother Thank you for being a superb human being Jeff
Great performance as always. I prefer the version of him piecing the song together on the bed in the movie. What a wrenching scene. Jeff Bridges is a fantastic Dude all around.
CRAZY HEART The weary Kind. Anyone can be an extra in a movie. I'm proud to say, my late son Michael was one of them. May you Rest in peace son. 1989-2020.Ak. Amen. 🙏:)☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
What a beautiful song. And something about Jeff Bridges singing it, maybe its his vulnerable take on it or his role in the movie, makes this song even better.
great actor, from a great family, his dad was one of a kind. thrilled to see him received the recognition and if he puts out an album, i'll be in line.
Bless you Jeff, I have held your hand for years, and loved you along the way. This one is an apogee of your soul. If you and I could sit down and have a coffee, we would both learn a whole lot and be humbled. Thank you sir, I embrace your soul. Your a real man. I understand. Congratulations. Your seat is waiting.

There's no wishing when it comes to playing an instrument. All you gotta do is start somehow, and you'll love practicing because you love music.

Thank you Jeff, you and your family have truly blessed the rest of us with your talent.
25 PEOPLE ARE BEING VERY UNDUDE TO DISLIKE THE DUDE.
Your heart's on the loose
You rolled them seven's with nothing to lose
This ain't no place for the weary kind
You called all your shots
Shooting 8 ball at the corner truck stop
Somehow this don't feel like home anymore
And this ain't no place for the weary kind
This ain't no place to lose your mind
This ain't no place to fall behind
Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try
Your body aches
Playing your guitar and sweating out the hate
The days and the nights all feel the same
Whiskey has been a thorn in your side
It doesn't forget
The highway that calls for your heart inside
And this ain't no place for the weary kind
This ain't no place to lose your mind
This ain't no place to fall behind
Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try
Your lover's warm kiss
Is too damn far from your fingertips
You are the man that ruined her world
Your heart's on the loose
You rolled them seven's with nothing to lose
And this ain't no place for the weary kind
Iconic cool Jeff Bridges!!!
Nothing quite like a man a story and a guitar.
His voice gets to the heart of me
Excellent song, and I love how Jeff sings it....some people are so talented and Jeff is one of them!
He remind me of the great Waylon Jennings. The voice, the looks, charisma. Jeff can easily become a country star
So much feeling!... he is singing from the bottom of his heart, his crazy heart...
That man, that song - you can only love him!!
I have always loved Jeff Bridges, right from the early days of "Against All Odds"....I love the gentleness he brings to this song. Beautiful.....I can't wait to see this movie. I wish they would make more movies like this.

I love him singing this song!!!
I've always wished this talented actor would get the recognition he deserves. Long overdue!
Chills chills chills...wow, I can't believe I just found this.
A ballad singer.... he hears a lot more than what is projected here. It comes over in his voice and playing them strings.
