I appreciate everything you show, i was never fortunate enough to go to trade school. I started as a sign painter years when I was 20 and had someone to ask me to paint a car at work for them, one thing led to another. I’m 25, I now own a small auto paint and body shop I still to this day learn new techniques and tips from your content. You’ve definitely gave me the confidence to get out my shell and try new things to be successful! Thank you Brian!

Car painting has advanced so much from when I learned from my Dad - He was an auto body wizard for over 40 years - did it all - from minor wrecks to complete restoration - including refinishing. Watching you brings back memories of hanging out with him at his body shop, and watching him work. Your knowledge, attention to detail, and techniques is the best I've seen since. Great work , man!!

I'm pretty much going to reiterate previous comments but I feel like I need to say something. I have watched countless videos particularly looking for application tips and processes. I watched your video for the first time and I feel like I have learned more watching your video than the rest I have watched combined. You apply concepts that I haven't seen in other videos. There is more than one way to skin a cat but your process ensures nearly perfect results. I love your confidence and your concise instruction without all the blabber. I actually felt good hitting the subscribe button which I rarely do. Awesome job Brian, would love to shake your hand some time and say thanks.

I have extra respect for really good auto body men and esp the painters. Because it is a whole different skill than doing the mechanical work, and certainly no easier to do well! So much of it relies on experience, technique, intuition and knowledge, even more so than changing a clutch or pulling an engine. Auto body and paint is practically an art form and I understand why they have to charge as much as they charge!

Yes from time to time I will walk the car. Just depends. Walking the car is better though.

@@PaintSociety if you turn the air cap on your spray gun 90 degrees you don't have to walk the car with the clear. Because you will be spraying and overlapping the clear perpendicular instead of horizontally. Could you do a video about painting car perpendicular instead of horizontally to see which is better or if it can be done

At the very end the light is making your work look less that perfect. I like that it helped me paint a truck. There was the kind of details that a near complete novice to auto painting needs. (I have painted plenty of heavy duty metal, but cars.... not so much. Cars are very different.)

Excellent work!!! Just now finding your channel and subscribed. I just have one question: What is the song that starts just as you apply the clear base? Its a cover of another song, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Its some old 70's funk and it is sounding good!!!
