Cool video, I enjoy seeing plain old farmwork and hearing little details about it you'd never find out unless you got into farming yourself. I knew driving over the straw was kind of bad, but not exactly why, so thank you for that little explanation! Keep up making videos like this!
Hi Byzanoid thanks yes that’s why I started making the videos to show people what We do 👍 I’ll have another video out as soon as I get time for editing. Andy
Top video again Andy, I jokingly said to a farmer last Thursday, "if you want some rain pull the Combine out of the shed" The very next day it rained lol. Seen a few fields that have been cleared around here but I've yet to see my first Combine on my travels, weather being good tho I should see one next week as the farm i go to is planning on starting the Barley. I'm glad your channel is growing in subscribers I did notice you had jumped from around 500 to not far off 700 in a week so that's good hopefully it'l pick up momentum now. keep it up m8 and stay safe in this busy period and weather.
Thanks Craig yeah it’s great! I’m gaining loads of subs and getting lots of views i think RUclips must be sharing my videos in people’s home section because something has definitely changed! Have a good summer 👍
As with internet, you should really look at getting a Portable 3G/4G Router (Amazon for £70). Plus a Three unlimited sim (£26 a month). I'm out in the sticks and does wonders for my download/upload speed. Would help your uploading majorly, probably even bring it down to 1 hour or less if you had it placed in a high signal spot!
Great videos and always interesting to see what people are up to elsewhere in the country, we're yet to start our rape (no barely) maybe end of this coming week, wheat long way off being fit - no rain in over a month so expectations low. Exmoor, Somerset.
Hi Steven Wright thanks! It’s not just you no it’s annoying because when I’m editing it sounds fine through head phones then I upload it and then really quiet 🤔👍
please don't stop making the video though . as other people have seem to of stoped or slowed down making them. nomly like watching the video's when waiting for the combine on corn cart😂
Just a tip from a combine operator of 35 summers. At 11.36 you mentioned you were doing 4.0/4.5 kph. And if you went faster you'd lose more, and quite right, but bare in mind if you moved up to say 6.0kph you'd have to redo your settings as the extra speed and crop flow send your old settings right out the window... Up to say 6.0kph you'd need to open up your sieves and up the fan speed to accommodate the extra crop flow. If it's a fit, ripe crop then you'll prob not need to adjust either concave opening or drum/rotor speed, but who knows you might have too.. Most drivers dont realise the minute you EITHER slow up or speed up. Your current settings go right out the window.. hope this is of some help.
Hi tomthumb yes we could get a extension but it means the tractor would have to run a tyre on the straw. The extension would work if I had a 35ft header. 👍

Could you go through your combine setting in your next video and what you do to avoid losses? Eg why you would adjust the fan or sieves etc

Hi WORLD_aviation18 yeah they are good! In the right conditions they will keep up with the S series 👍
It's a farming life for me! Did you ever use a lexion because they can cut faster but might drop grain
WORLD_aviation18 no I haven’t my brother used a Lexion 770 he said that was awesome! But they will all drop grain if you go fast enough lol 👍
It's a farming life for me! John Deere t series has a iconic engine sound you can here from miles away
Love the vids you make. Hope you have a good harvest. In which county is the farm?
Hi Jan-Berend Stoker thanks! We are north Hampshire 👍
That’s a nice part of England. I used to work on a farm near Newbury in the summertime. I live in The Netherlands.

how many acres a day can you harvest with that combine?
Hi stagmite11 RS I think my best best is 120 acres but on a average day I would do 80 👍
ah nice I subbed to your channel looking forward to more awesome content
What's the combine tank hold in tonne's?
Hi Robert Higgins it’s measured in litres and I think it holds 11,000L but I would guess full up would be between 5 and 6 tonne of barley 👍
No audio
Nice video Andy is it your fathers farm?
Hi Stuart G no I wish! Me and dad are just workers 👍
It's a farming life for me! Thanks for the reply Andy, been a subscriber for a while now.i like the way the channel is going

Hi handsomebazza we do around 1300 acres of arable and then we have 500 acres of grass and woodland 👍
You're clearly a good operator, can you put a little description in your videos so I can see the dates they are put up matey?

Hi louis sarsfield it averaged 7.5T over 50ha so not too bad our neighbor only got 6T/ha 👍
we were down to 5.5 on chalk hills having a go at wheat in the morning shirved grain
again poor sound, but great videos.
Will this grain go too market or too feeding the cows🤓🐝
Hi Curt Weatherbee it’s feed barley 👍
Nice one
It was better with out it more clearer sound
Can you get a augar extension to tractor dont run so close
Hi tomthumb yes we could get a extension but it means the tractor would have to run a tyre on the straw. The extension would work if I had a 35ft header. 👍
How much foot is the header
Hi stripe_fire it’s 30 feet (9metre) 👍
Cool we have a 25 foot massy
We Haven't stareted rape yet either but the neighbours have got a field done
