Can't judge the crowd at the beach during spring break as this year Miami did not allow spring breakers so they migrated to Ft Lauderdale. Usually it's similar to LA as a lot of LA peps moved here...lol
When you're putting sunscreen on, don't forget the space below your nose and inbetween your eyes and eyebrows! Also the tops of your ears if you have your hair up, this is one of the most common places for skin cancer
I was in Ft. Lauderdale a few months ago and stayed beachfront. My kids and I loved it; I definitely feel like you’re there in the peak of spring break so that’s probably why you got the “trashy” vibes. I found it to be very fun and family friendly. Love your vlogs (as always).

I'm a local! Beachplace (the area you were at) is definitely trashier during spring break, but there are some nice hotel restaurants if you want to be on the beach. Las Olas has more up-scale bars/restaurants for dinner. I also recommend Pompano Beach pier or Lauderdale-by-the-Sea if you want more authentic local areas! Miami is a different world, but not too far if you want a more Latin or cluby vibe

Yea Spring Break in Ft Lauderdale in March. There's always South Beach(in Miami), still a party vibe tho, but if you stay further up on 16th-23rd street and above Miami beach its classy along that stretch of beach.

Shelby sorry you got to Fort Lauderdale Beach during spring break I still haven’t gone to the beach after spring break The spring breakers give our city a bad image I will have to try out that taco place. It looked really good. I also don’t sleep well in hotels.

Ft Lauderdale is usually awesome but in March a lot drunk spring breakers as they forced out of Miami Beach.
Fort Lauderdale was awful for us and we felt the trashy vibe there. When you said you biked to the beach, I cringed. lots of homeless people and just icky. We drove over for a couple of days to check it out and we left early because it was so cringe. The beach was overcrowded and it wasn't spring break.
Exactly what advantage does being a real estate agent yourself bring? I assume a couple of percents of savings on commission? But you don't have to use an agent to buy anyway 🤔

compared to west coast beaches, yes, in the South (east), our beaches lean toward the trashy. ESP in some parts of Florida. I have some theories but I'd be really interested in knowing why that is the case. Zoning? Accessibility/availability? what is it that makes sex shops, tacky souvenir places, strip bars, and the beach go hand in hand in the coastal south? (I'm looking at you, Myrtle Beach!)
it doesn't seem to be the case, say, in the northeast, e.g. the Hamptons, or the west coast (e.g. San Diego). (Or maybe I'm wrong - I haven't explored northeast beaches much.)
