Such a lovely comforting familiarity to Mick Lally's voice. A throwback and reminder to simpler times of being sat on the sofa of a Sunday night surrounded by family 😢
@Laurence O'Connor now Laurence just be nice or be silent. I understand the urge to make such comments to rile people but honestly you waste your energy needlessly. Try being nice. Good man
My uncles were out driving near Balinasloe one time and picked up a scruffy looking hitchhiker who turned out was Mick. This during the height of Glenroe. Said he was lovely and gas altogether.
I will do you a swap on my 1974 birth date...great crack alltoghether but watch out for the Preists they were still on the prowl in the 80 s and early 90s then their cover was blown.....right so when do we start.😂😂
That story is similar to a man I used to drink with in Birmingham, England. Just knew him as Tipp. He had went out one Saturday to buys steaks 40 years prior. Like many a man ended up in the pub and woke up on the boat heading for England. And NEVER went back to his wife and children. Something really tragic about that.
i added a reply and said the irish buuilt this country motorways, buildings and laid all the cables, and the irishnurses worked in all the hospitals, millions irish over here doing all the work, never got no thanks for it ,when they say how england was built we got no mention,so annoying,we were not wanted here, the lazy lot here wouldent work in a fit,but we kept going having a good craic all the time,i know a lot of the lads never went home,as they say the craic was good in cricklewood, god bless the irish we lost a lot on the way
Ahh, Glenroe,tv gold, and up for school in the morning. What a dreadful marketing decision to drop Glenroe for mediocre Fair City! God bless and r.i.p. man.
I meet him few time here in Galway. Great Man. Unfortunately he was... Lally was an atheist who did not believe in an afterlife, and regarded religion as nonsense and "codology": From wikipedia. Anyway: GOD Bless him: Amen *

Mick could also have played Fagin in Oliver Twist dressed like that , wonderful actor and sadly missed
Wow. Can't believe Ireland was this cool and laid back within my lifetime. I wish I had been born in 1979 instead of 1989
You might have got molested by a priest or swim coach though
Great place to grow up poor kids today
Now it’s become a total freak show.
