I've been shooting with the Sony A6300 for a while now and I don't think the Sony A6300 suffers from the same overheating problems it once had. It used to shut off when it got too hot but through a firmware update you can unlock new menu functions to smooth out your experience.

Thanks for the video! I am wanting to shoot long videos for more than 30 mins (like 1 to 2 hours in one take!), so I am going to install that firmware change to allow me to bypass the 30 minute limit. I will order that small rig cage, and in other videos I have read a dummy battery and super high bitrate memory card also helps, and as well as tilting the screen, flipping up the flash is said to also help. Cheers

The warranty ran out on my A6300 and I was thinking of doing the same with the firmware. Is that something you'd want to see a video on? Good luck and thanks for watching!

If I use dummy battery, if the indoor temperature is 30°C, can the ZV-E10 or A6400 record continuously for 3 hours at 4k 24p?

a5100 and a6000 originally started the bad overheating rep. when the a6300 came, the issue went to the 4k recording. A6500 and other alpha cams got involved as well. Pretty much now theres a solution to these overheating issues except for a6000 below models,

I just bought my first camera ever in life, the a6400, so i'm not experienced in anything, it sometimes gets warm while i'm playing with the menus for a long time, i want to know if it is normal, and also it got really hot at least for me when i did a recording test i recorded for like an hour and i felt really hot at touch but it never stopped or warned for over heating issues. So it is normal the body get hot while recoding for long time periods ? And if so how hot is it normal

Out of all A6000 line up cameras, Sony A6400 did a good job to tackle overheating issues. A6400 can shoot more than an hour continuosly without worrying about heating issues. It's also depends on the environment you're in. So if you're under bright sunlight it can get hot.

So, are you saying you bought a camera with a great autofocus but you don't use it for shooting video...?
BTW, I have a Sony camera and tried everything and it still overheats in 4K. Very disappointed with Sony.

Yup! I didn't buy it for its autofocus and when I made this video I didn't have any Sony e-mount lenses aside from the 16-50 kit lens. Which camera are you using?
