great video and for those who want to know... The governer is there to stop the engine from over revving because either the engine's internals will snap or degrade from high revs, it will smash the plastic camshaft gears or balance gears and blow a hole in your casing or the engine will be revving so high that the governer arm and crank won't be able to pick up the oil and splash it around the casing to lubricate parts so they either cease up or just go bang! But if you want to make a go kart or racing lawn mower yeah remove the governer for sure. I took the governer off my briggs diamond ic 13hp 420cc engine and it runs at full revs no problem just there is one thing to note you need to replace the plastic counter balance weight gear with a steel one to stop it from shredding and blowing a hole in the back of the engine...
Nice,,easy as pie, I just removed the governor on my predator motor the same way, the only difference on the predator is that the governor is on the fly wheel side of the engine casing, so I had to pull the fly wheel to access the pin that needs to be knocked out, then pull the other side cover off of the engine to get the gear and weights out of there. Fairly straight forward process, although pulling the flywheel was kind of a pain. But now we're ready to run. Thanks!

you can also put a o ring on there or a rubber washer to keep it clean

it's just there to keep the engine from overreving
I would do the same but with lock tight

Why would the bolts in the governor holes not leak ,....it doesn't seem to be an air tight seal ??
Its not a pressurized system, but rather a splash oil system.
You dont need air tight, just sealed enough to keep 30w from seeping.
