Thanks for the info! After watching several vids on the topic, I decided to go for the Tunecore Pro plan and added the social pro feature for $7.99/mo just to test how that feature works. I think the 1 day customer support option was important to my decision, because the main negative feedback i was hearing about all these companies is how bad their customer support. All the negative feedback i heard about DK is about how bad their customer support is, the main reason why i decided to not go with them. Ive heard some things about Tunecores customer support as well but with the 1 day customer support option, Im feeling good about tunecore. This will be my first experience with in the music distribution world, so im speaking from a new artists point of view., and the reason i went with the pro plan to start, is because i think $50 for the year is a very small risk so might as well pay for the customer service option. Just to share my thoughts. Much respect.
Definitely, I take user reviews with a grain of salt. Happy people aren't motivated to give reviews, it's just how we are. People want to shout when they're upset. I'll say this though, a lot of times artists don't know how to communicate. They'll email a company something like "why are you stealing my money?" I mean, these companies represent A LOT of artists so that's a lot of different personalities. Customer service reps are people too, so if somebody is insulting them or being unreasonable, they're going to get a different level of service than someone who isn't that.
Hey gif, about the UPC code. I never saved my upc codes. When I change distributor. I just release the song again, and the stream will go back on the songs. I think these platforms, remember the songs. Even when I change the name, the old name stay, on iTunes and Spotify, with the old art cover.
Overall just be sure ya'll read them "terms of service" before ya'll get caught up with any corporate presence. Sometimes you just better off uploading your s*** to RUclips and registering it with BMI (which is free) and call it a day.
Great stuff to think about when deciding. I think I'm still gonna go with the largest yearly plan they have, rather than needing this and that and upgrading later on. Gonna try it out for 1 year and see what's what. Thanks man. Interesting channel name. What's your actual name by the way? Just subscribed to you, hope it helps!
Could you use a producer in place of an additional artist to make it easier to work 50-50 deals with them or would I have to collect it then split it, I’m use to just buying exclusive rights.. but cashing out on beats when I can make them myself seems dumb yet convenient… what are your thoughts?
Thank you for the video man! Could you possibly do one about "MusicGateway" Their British, I believe and I'm just very curious about their services and would love to see your take on this distributor
I haven't seen a bit of the promotional opportunities and what not it states that you have access to on professional. Had it 2 years now and I do not see any additives due to this plan. I am definitely going to downgrade after realizing that is only additional "primary" artists.
Why are artist saying TuneCore stole there Money because they wouldn't allow them to upload there songs? Thats why i havent signed up with Tunecore because i dont want to get Ripped off??
I don't know anybody that has had a problem with Tunecore. The most stable and respectable distributors you could use are Tunecore and CD Baby. Anybody saying anything along the lines of those two companies being scams I call BS. A lot of these artists getting banned for streaming fraud and posting negative reviews with an axe to grind. No distributor is perfect so an artist saying something like a release date got missed or a poor experience with a customer service rep, I can understand that. Ripping people off? That's BS.
I went into a cd baby and it says that the album is 9.99 and the single is the same as the standard plan but next to it is the other one that costs 49.99 so teacher help me which one. It's better because they offer you the 9.99 one and the 49 one I don't find sense
To those lucky enough to already have loads of money then throwing $50 a year away like this is nothing to them. However, to Tunecore, it's laughing all the way to the bank.
Thanks for the video! Trying to use your 20% off link for Tunecore, but it's not working. It just comes up with the same pricing. Do you have a promo code or some other way to make it work?
Sorry about that. I've reached out to Tunecore about it, and they said it should work but if it's not, I have to reach out again. They've completely changed their system so it's taking time to get everything working.
It's actually $15 but it's for Primary artists, not featured artists. If you're a label, $15 per artist should be nothing. Any label that can't generate over $15 annually has no business being a label.

With "Professional Plan" On TuneCore, am i able to verify multiple Spotify and Apple Music accounts as a label?

Hello, do you have a Tunecore discount code?
I am testing tune core please listen to Potential Frenzy The Barbie song to see if I get all 50 states and any other countries!
Thank you for the video man! Could you possibly do one about "MusicGateway" Their British, I believe and I'm just very curious about their services and would love to see your take on this distributor
yeah word. everything on their site is apparently "free"!
Great vid ... thanks
When you enrol for a distributor site, do you continue your old RUclips channel or do they set one up for you?
You keep the old one. They upload it to the Channel automatically
So, on not a Pro Plan you dont get a UPC code for your music?
I haven't seen a bit of the promotional opportunities and what not it states that you have access to on professional. Had it 2 years now and I do not see any additives due to this plan. I am definitely going to downgrade after realizing that is only additional "primary" artists.

You mean you have to pay extra $15 on the $50 plan for every additional artist?
